recovery flash thru fastboot to CWM
flash GB Rom

reset everything thru RUU s-off

It seems to me the only thing my phone is capable of running is Stock Rom w/root and nothing else
Hard ware Version: 2
Stock Rooted 2.89
Has anyone else had this problem
I am almost certain that it is OP Error!!! ( as I am still a noob 2 yrs after having Android)
Any advice on how i can have my old JB Rom back on my phone. cause i miss having long battery life!!! 12 hours with a 4,000mah Battery vs 7 hrs on Stock with the same battery.
Try:
1. Run ruu.exe.
2. Flash 1.4 revolutionary hboot
3. Flash custom recovery (either 4ext or twrp)
4. Flash custom ROM like zr3dxl or homebrew.
I was having bootloops and doing everything in that order worked for me.
Thank you!!! It helped. Still
Wondering why that happened. But it works now!

I can't tell you exactly why, but it seems that flashing a complete RUU can sometimes fix problems that result from from flashing bits and pieces of firmware (such as radios or bootloaders) or taking an OTA for an upgrade. This has even been recognized by HTC in their advice on the htcdev.com website to flash an RUU if you are having problems with the unlock procedure and have taken OTA updates, even when completely stock.
Here's a post where I provide some more information about this, but I still can't tell you exactly what causes problems. I have found that once I flashed the 2.89.651.2 RUU.exe I can switch bootloaders without any problems.

My phone will go to the bootloader and recovery but can't go further
The phone boots straight into the bootloader
I can then select to go into recovery
I go into recovery and it says it fails to mount sdcard and internal storage
I attempt to wipe or install anything and it fails
I attempted to run the RUU but that failed with error 155.
This issue started when I attempted to flash viper after wiping paranoid android.
After installing viper the phone rebooted with the screen top half being black and the bottom half showing the white htc screen. I thought it was an issue with the kernel so tried flashing liberty kernel. That appeared to install fine but after failing to boot up again I attempted wiping and starting fresh again and thats when the error where it was unable to mount sdcard or internal storage started.
Phone info.
S-ON
HBOOT 1.19
RADIO 1.12.11.0809
TWRP 2.3.1.0
So i am looking for possible next steps to take to correct the issue.
Nvm. Long late night and forgot to OEM lock before running the ruu.

Hello everyone.
Last night I rebooted my phone because I was getting fc's on ES File Explorer. After the reboot my phone stuck on bootanimation and never boots.
Wiped everything, Installed CM10 (Wild) but still nothing. Now it is bootlooping from bootanimation. I'm using 4EXT recovery with SmartFlash enabled.
I'm on hboot: 1.53.0007 / Baseband version: 11.77.3504.00P_11.25.3504.06_M / HTC unlocked / S-ON and I was using v16+OTA mwakious3Drom.
I'm downloading RUU's but I'm not sure if they flash. My phone is bought from Germany and had the vodafone logo when firstbooted. It's not branded.
Anyone could help me understand what's wrong so I can recover my phone back? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Just used RUU_Shooter_U_Vodafone_UK_1.21.161.1_Radio_10.53.9020.00_10.13.9020.08_2M_release_203613_signed (the only vodafone RUU) and it failed.
Also tried RUU_SHOOTER_U_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.28.401.1_Radio_11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M_release_262714_signed.exe but i got CID incorrect! on bootloader.
EDIT: Tried MIUI and CM9 also but not working... :(
Ah and on Fastboot it recognises to erase/format only the cache. My eMMc is fried isn't it??pfffff
FINAL EDIT: I did superwipes to every partition except SDcard. I downloaded the v17 mwakiousrom and now it just booted. If I want to go AOSP I must do the wire trick to get s-off? Thanks again...
I bought HTC Rhyme (Bliss) last week and I'm regretful !!! It worked perfectly till the night, when I put it on the dockstation to charge, but 15 mins later I saw it rebooting over and over and stuck on the green HTC logo !!! what people call soft brick or bootloop problem !!!
I tried factory reset, erase data and cache in recovery which didn't work.
I downloaded and installed RUU_Bliss_ICS_35_S_HTC_EU_2.14.401.2 from htcdev.com site, which didn't change anything. Also I flashed different boot.img , but no result.
I unlocked the bootloader using htcdev and flashed CWM 6 touch. Erased cache and dalvik, reinstalled RUU, didn't work!
I downloaded some custom roms for HTC Rhyme, but when I try to flash them in CWM, it says Can't open ... (bad) Installation aborted. !!! I changed the CWM to version 5, downloaded the roms again, but still the same error !!!
Flashed Dark side wipe cache and super wipe via CWM and installed RUU again, no luck !!!
Found the stock RUU (1.31.707.6) on a Russian forum, but I faced some difficulties downgrading !!! I got main version error at first, changed the main version using misc_version and then it said hboot version is older. I generated the mtd0.img , setup adb in CWM recovery and followed the instructions to flash it to the misc partition using flash_image, but it says failed with error: -1 !!! tried "dd if=/sdcard/mtd0.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17" but still I get "hboot version is older" or "hboot version check failed" when I try to revert it back to stock rom.
I spent hours of time testing different methods (even the phone twisting method I found on youtube!!!) and I don't know what else to do !!! Maybe If I could flash a different rom or revert it back to stock i get rid of the damn bootloop !!!
Also I can't find s-off box for htc rhyme in the market...
Lol…i press retart on same phone and got boot loop

Hello all!
This morning my phone decided to reboot over and over again. I got into twp and made a back up of my current ROM. After making the backups I tried to restart and twrp informed me my device was not rooted and asked if I wanted to install SU. I choose no, then rebooted. I tried to restore an older version of my rom twrp gave me a "failed" message. So I tried to reboot and again I got the message from twrp saying I was not reooted and ask to install SU.. so I did.
Since then I can not get back into twrp, I get the twrp splash screen and then the phone bootloops. I tried reflashing twrp 2.6.3.0, 2.6.1.0 and even 2.6.0.0 multiple times with all the same results of twrp splash screen, then phone reboots... Any ideas?
I'm s-off (VIA dirtyraccoon from about 16 months ago)
Hboot: 1.19.0000
EDIT: I used windroid HTC Evo LTE tool kit and s-off'd with faceplam... dunno why but it seems to have fixed it.
