Had same problem, this worked for me:
You Need:
PhoenixSuit
1) Install PhoenixSuit
2) Disconnect USB
3) Shut down tablet (Hold power for 10 sec)
4) Press and hold Home-button
5) Connecting USB (keep holding down Home button)
6) Press Power button 10-15 timer (While still holding down Home)
Now 1 of 2 thing happen
If 1: PhoenixSuit pops up and askes, want to reset? - Press yes.
If 2: Nothing.
7) Download stock Ainol firmware
8) Try to update tablet via PhoenixSuit (PhoenixSuit will say that i cant connect to tablet, but ask you to do step 1-6)
9) Do steps 1-6, and it should work this time. (well, did for me)
Hope this helps, else i got nothing

Relax guys. I need a bit of advice from you experts around. Onda unfortunately isn't available in my country and they say it's not being imported anymore due to problems.
So this is where I end up.
I need help choosing Ainol Novo 9 Spark or Ainol Novo 10 Eternal (known as Captain with 2GB ram and 1200x800 display)
I like the Novo 9 Spark but I read it has wifi problems ( which im not sure is hardware or software) and low speaker volume and it's retina display eats a lot of battery, doesn't support all apps and isn't good for 3D gaming.
Where as Eternal (Captain) has no WiFi problems until now (supports 150mbps), a better battery life (11000 Mah) and as its 1200x800 display it is much faster and has a decent volume. But it has a cheap poor performance CPU ATM 7029 and poor GPU GC 1000. As its new it lacks custom roms and stock repacks too ..
Which one should I go for?
I'll be buying either one this week.

To buy or not to buy
Properly the wrong post for this, but short:
- Do you like to "play around" with your tablet (setting up, installing new firmware, clocking ...)
- Expect to surf internet, read stuff and watch movies alot? (where the Retina display realy comes to life)
My experience is, that stock Ainol 9 suckes; terrible software/firmware.
An update to "Rom by x-calibur sdk 3.2 Yandex 0718" transformed my Novo 9 to not only a usable tablet, but acually a pretty good one.
Games it plays, see: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2175446 - All games i have tried works.
Hardware is fine, not the best, not the worst - (but then again, cant expect top-end hardware in a cheap-end tablets); all in all i find it more than adequate.
Especialy the Retina display realy does af difference, crisp clear, but comes at a cost, more work fore the CPU = shorter battery time and less speed - I find it worth it, still get 7-8 hours gaming at max brightness.
Worst Things:
- Wifi antenna is not the best, with at desent router/accespoint you get ok signal (40-60 %), but if you have a big house and low wifi signal in some parts of your house, this might not be the tablet for you. - Its a Hardware problem, so no easy fix, its possible to replace the antenna, but its not a big enough problem fore me to start disasembeling my tablet.
- Play store wont recognize tablet properly - Basicly i cant download anything i have to pay fore, amazon app store works, but just not the same - I get by with downloading apk and donating.
I have no experience with the Novo 10.

Same problem
Sorry for my english. I got a Ainol Spark 9 updated to 4.2.2 with TWRP recovery. It turns off suddenly and when I try to turn on appears boot loop. I tried to update via PhoenixSuit pressing home button, conecting USB cable to PC and pressing 10 times nothing happens, Phoenix does not recognize the tablet.
Any suggestion? there is any way to hard reset the tablet pressing buttons?

I just spend the cost of shipping to China, that's all.

When the tablet is completely off
1. Hold the Volume down button
2. Press and hold the power button. You will see a battery appear and a hear a beep shortly after. Release after about 15 seconds.
3. The device will now boot into boot loader with ability to hard reset.

hi All,
my SPARK 9, AINOL NOVO tablet started freezing repeatedly, and kept displaying that apps downloaded from google playstore were no longer compatible and stopped working. soft factory resets did not solve the problem as the apps kept misbehaving as before. i had to force close it after another episode of freezing by pressing down the power button. after this, the tablet did not come on again.
the tablet now shows the following symptoms:
1. not recognized by PC or phoenix software
2. does not display battery charging icon when connected to charger but tablet becomes warm after some time.
3. i have read that in order for phoenix software to recognize the tablet, one must use a screwdriver to bridge certain pins, but before proceeding , the pin configuration of the chipset in the tablet should be identified -as my tablet is also AINOL, but the spark 9-so i am posting the chipset pictures, pls if this procedure will work with the spark 9 kindly assist. i have tried to upload the pictures of the motherboard showing the two NAND FLASH chips on board, but the link does not display paths on my laptop but rather a URL.
there are 2 flash NAND's on the motherboard with these serial numbers"
SK hynix
H27UCG8T2BTR
BC 309AA
M12KG9320H & M12KH8120H
i have downloaded this rom: Novo9-Spark-LX-20130422v1-1, i hope to flash it to the tablet once phoenix can recognize the tablet.
thanks.

Hi! Im finally bringing this up to the general community after a month of suffering from this thing my Sony S Tablet is experiencing through. My Sony S Tablet randomly touches itself on the screen, to be more specific the lower function buttons ( Back key, Home Key, and Recently used app Key). Its really annoying when im browsing the net either stock browser/dolphin HD or watch videos on Gallery/Quickpic the tab touches the back button or home button and repeatedly does that and wont stop until i lock the tab or even turns it off. Its getting more worst as each day passes by. I think i noticed this one after doing this one:

Then you are very, very, very, very lucky. LOL One of the only regions left that we can root (as Sony removed 3.2.1 from servers when 4.0.3 ICS R1A/R2A came out.
You are on 11000 version so flash this:
0035
http://www.mediafire.com/?cti11ejoxpxx4cm
This will give you 3.2 (newer than 11000) kernel 10 (don't worry about the k10 issue, not relevant with 3.2)
Then flash this:
0042 (under kernel 10 3.2.1 : ) )

or

There are the files to install:
Move to SD card (not possible without SD)
Insert SD card
Turn off tab
Hold VOL DOWN BUTTON
Turn on tab, while still holding VOL DOWN
TAHDAH recovery menu. Flash as above
NB vol up, down are up, down and use power to select, install update from SD card, choose update from zip.

When i first recieved this one all was well. but only when i tried rooting/upgrading it for the first time and it became worst when i successfully upgraded from HC to ICS 4.0.3 RC5
I tried:
1. Factory reset via Recovery Mode
2. Factory reset via settings
3. Erasing everything on the external storage
4. Changing into "Medium" the touch and hold delay
but still the problem persists. Anyone got any clue regarding whats happening on my Sony S Tablet? I also got queries
1. Could this be a problem with virus? i tried clearing up the external storage but its still there
2. How could i revert back to the original ROM i was in when i first recieved it? i dont care if its HC as long as the annoying problem disappears
3. What if i lost my Original receipt of my Tab could i still avail its warranty if i finally decided to send it back to the service team?
4. And is there any cure to this madness my tab is into?
5. Anyone knows whats the specific name my tablet is experiencing? Google cant be my bestfriend if i wont give him specific items to be searched
Any forms of help, suggestions and advices are warmly appreciated. Thanks!
Do you have a screen protector installed? Had the same problem about one week after installing the protector. The problem disappeared after some air escaped after rubbing the screen protector. Looks like there was some sort of static interference with the touch screen. Haven't had this problem again since. Good luck!

Probably from Heating
Touch screen recognizes touch from heating. I had the same problem too, and here is what I noticed:
when the battery level goes to ~<20%, the problem starts. charged it to full, and it was gone. checked 2 times. Doesn't cause problem when fully charged.
when the battery level goes down, the tablet slightly overheats at the bottom. I think that is what causing it. Try charging it to full and report it here if the problem still persists
Have that issue also. Don't think it's too common actually. The reps. at my local Sony Center just laughed at me, and said they never heard such thing before.. Never noticed if it's battery related, but will look for it, next time it occurs. That'll mean it's a hardware defect that can't be solved without changing to a new unit.. =(
Batery is probably at the same location.
If thats the case i be worried, sony has bad reputation when it comes to batery's if they become hot verry rapidly they can explode.
Sony vaio team is the one that made this tablet and the xperia tablet s.
my batery is in top near camera can become warm, i defiantly put my tablet upside down next time it becomes warm to see if i can re produce this, if thats the case others probably have same issue also.

I have the Same Problem. I can't use it anymore.
Still waiting A Response from sony support.
Any clue how To Solve this?
Even with full batery, the tablet is crazy.
-bump- the problem returned... anyone else experiences the same thing?
Still present after JB update. This time though, it is more aggressive than before.. :S

anyone tried sending it back to sony or has found some answers to this annoying presses?
I have had Mine to service at Sony Center twice. They replaced The mainboard both times and The screen The second time. Definately not hardware related.. Will send it back a third time tomorrow and Ask for a refund. Will be cheaper for Sony, as the mainboard probably costs almost as much as The device it self..

You go search to internet and search for the previous OTA firmware of STS (Sony Tablet S)... for examples 4.0.3 Release 1a (signed-nbx03_001-ota-120803002).
- Download it (in zip file)
- put it into your sd card (in zip file)
- switch off your STS
- switch it back on while holding button 'ON' and Volume + button (hold together)
- Once the Sony logo appear, release the button 'ON' but not the volume +
- Once the blue screen appear with menus then release the volume + button
- Choose 'Update via sd card' ( scroll with volume - & select by pushing 'ON' button )
- Once choose then wait until it reboot.
- tadaaaa...finish...you are now downgrade from 4.0.3 Release 5a...and the screen touch by itself will no longer appear.
pssst : STS will ask for update to 4.0.3 Release 5a..... i don't think you would since previously we having the issue.
Good day.

Hi guys
I have just purchased the Pipo M6 Pro (Which has built in GPS) from Pipomall.
Even though the the battery is fully charged. I still cant get the unit to turn on. Tried the on/off button by holding it in many times.
Anyway finally the reset button resets it and that does work. I'll go away for 10 or so minutes and try to turn the device off standby mode to which it does not do anything. Makes me think tha unit is off so i then try to turn it on by holding the button down for 5 seconds. Nothing. Only a 'reset' at the back of the unit turns it on.
I have got onto Pipomall where i bought it from about this.
They have directed me to this website to a firmware upgrade. However the firmware upgrade doesnt exist for the M6 Pro. Only for the M6.
I really need a firmware for the M6 Pro in English as this is the one that has GPS & built in 3G.
I am guessing the firmware upgrade is my only option? Unless theres any other suggestions you can think of?
Quite disappointed about this.
If i can't upgrade it i'll have to send it back i think.
Thanks.
Where can I download the firmware?
Thanks for the help people.
I have done the factory reset.
Gonna wait some time and see if the issue occurs.
If it does i iwll do the upgrade,
If the upgrade fixes the issue i will let you all know that its worked ok.
Thanks so much again

Is your M6 Pro performing satisfactorily now? Would be great if you could give us a short review of it as there aren't any online yet. I'm particularly interested in knowing if the GPS is any good. Thanks

Hi!
Have you found a solution for the reset button because mine does the exact same thing.

Hello,
I bought a PIPO M6 pro too,
Actually two of them. Both have the same issue: the day it arrived they turned on, without problems.
After some hours I put them under charge... and after that, they don't turn on anymore.
No sign of life.
I tried with the reset button, reset-On/Off button combo, any other combinatrion of buttons...
Nothing happens.
What should I do? Did anyone have the same issue?
Ah.. first one I send it back to the seller.. the second one is the substitute! (
Thanks in advance,
Alessandro
I got the sumvision voyager 2 which is the same as the m6 pro but rebadged for the UK. Its a rocking tablet especially once you put a custom ROM on it. There's plenty of developers around, though unlike my old archos g9 there doesnt seem to be any on here. We have overclocking ROMs and overclocked ram roms to get rid of any lag, which to be fair from stock I haven't experienced. Though mine has the app memory modded to 4gb from 2gb, the ROM I use can go up to 16gb for apps if necessary. Compared Tony old 1gb/16gb G9 Turbo this tablet really blows it away especially on the display and battery life.
Pipo firmware is available on the .cn pipo websitewebsite

May the charger is bad? so the tablet can't turn on
Hi everyone!
This is my first post unfortunately, I'll try to keep things short and clear. I'm in pretty deep $#&@.
My Prime:
-4.1.1
-WW sku
-firmware 10.4.2.18
I was happy with it for two years I have never touched it other than updating it from HC all the way to JB. Two years later out of nowhere the screen gets garbled the tablet started to give screaming sounds through the speaker at max volume and then it went dark. I couldn't switch it on only after a whole night on the charger although it had enough juice on it. Since then every time I boot it it tries to install an OTA camera firmware update, but it fails each time, it gives the exclamation mark once in android, same result.
Issues after the incident:
- SD card slot not working,
- USB port not working,
- whenever the tablet has to make sound through speakers the screaming goes on until I shut it down or it goes dark by itself,
- the tablet recognises false power and volume button presses only in android in the recovery they work fine,
- sound through any type of external speaker, headphone earphone works, but occasionnally there is noise in the background
- the camera firmware is completely missing, upon opening the app it says it can't work without the firmware and asks me kindly to update it (in the about tablet the firmware version is X-ed out)
- if I close the tablet with the dock, it can't be unlocked again, it must be rebooted in oder to use it
- te tablet doesn't get recognised by my and any other PCs although it charges fine (that was an old issue i bought another cable with the same result)
- varoius little bugs, wifi switching on and off, gps weakness, notification bar not opening
What works:
- microSD card slot (i have a fat32 formatted microSD with 4GBs of storage)
- keyboard with all keys
- touchscreen
- all apps & games
How I tried to solve the problem:
I factory reset it about 4 times since without success obviously. The device is no longer under warranty so I unlocked its bootloader with the ASUS tool. It worked fine. I can't achieve root however because of the connectivity issue, Framaroot says my device isn't vulnerable. I tried to update the firmware through my microSD card, but the exclamation mark doesn't appear even after a reboot or hard reset (maybe because I had the latest already installed). There is no RMA in my country, and the fee of the service and the transport all the way to and back from the Czech Republic is way too high for me to pay.
So here I am with a more or less functional Prime robbed of nearly all the features, helpless and not knowing what to do next.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, although I really do think that it is beyond saving.
Cheers,
Peter from Hungary

Yes, the stock recovery works perfectly if that's what you ask!
IS there a slight chance of making it work again?
Hi, I have a Sony Xperia z Tablet, i've had it about 4 months, the wifi did used to drop when i first got it, using 4.2 but since updating to 4.3 i think it's doing it more so.
I flashed my 4.3 from the following link as i couldn't wait for the update:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=49978673
So anyway, where i live is an ipad connected to the wifi as well as my samsung galaxy s4 and laptop.
I play games a lot (especially clash of clans) and turn the net on my tablet, it will usually drop around 4-6 times per night, every time it does drop, my games will reset (which is a pain for clash of clans) or the internet will just say can't connect.
But while my tablet is saying this all our other devices are still connected and working fine, so i've realised that it must be the tablet it's self for some reason.
I have turned wifi optimisation off as i was finding the wifi was dropping even more so with this on.
Is there a way to flash the modem to a different one for wifi or anything like that, i just don't know what I'm going to do about it if anyone has any suggestions?
Did i do the wrong thing by flashing the ftf uk unbranded rom, could it be that?
Any help would be great.
Thanks
James

Try a hard reset that should fix it...
To do a hard reset on the xperia tablet, first power it down.
Then, press and hold "Volume +" for roughly 3 seconds. While still holding "Volume +", then press and hold Power for an additional second.
Use "volume -" to arrow down to the factory reset option. Press power to select this option. Then on the next screen use "volume -" again to navigate to the YES option to confirm this is what you wish to do (all data will be erased).
Help!
I rootet my Samsung J6 some month before with help from xda-infos here.
Sometimes in the last weeks Magisk updatet itself. I never had any problems.
Last Saturday morning Magisk asked for update. I say ok – then I saw some seconds a DOS-like windows with activities like “flashing” “boot” etc. Then Magisk asked for “ok” to reboot.
It switched down and did not restart. Now my phone is dead.
When I press power and VOL-Down about 15 secondes then a short Samsung startscreen ist to be seen. It disappers after 5 seconds and nothing more happens. Pessing the keys pemanent then I have a loop with about 15 seconds black, 5 seconds “Samsung” and so on. Is there any possibility to bring the phone back to live?
I tried al lot of combinations of the keys. Nothing!
When plugging in USB-cable connect to powersuplly or PC sometimes a grey circle of about 2 centimeters diameter with a flash inside appears and shows the charheing.
Pressing power and VOL-Up has no effect.
I think there is no way to bring it to live again? Or can anybody help please?
Killed my Samsung J6 - Searching für replacement
Hi,
last week a update of Magisk killed my Samsung J6. I asked for help - but nobody has answered with a help to repair.
Now I need a new a replacement. Same or better than my J6. Max price is 200 €
My conditions: Same features than J6 or better. (camera-quality, gps-quality, screen-quality,NFC, ANT+,32GB Memory). I don't play games. Main use is navigating outdoors and taking photos.
Absolute necessary: Rootable without problems and difficulties. because some of my apps need rooting. And i don't accept it when companies do block my rights like deleting bloatware or accessing hardware direct
I found a Huawei P Smart (2019), the features are all same or better than J6, but testreports are not so good I want.
There are so many phones on the market, all seem good or better on the first look.
But I don't find one, that fits?
Please help with some tip and excuse my bad english
Wolfgang
As for your J6 you can flash your stock boot.img to make it working again using ODIN.
And its easily rootable alternative is redmi note 5 with similar or better camera.

Thanks - redmi seem to be a good thing. But the (older) testresults i found are not "super".
I'll wait a few days for other recommendations
