What PRL are you currently on?
Also, keep in mind that your PRL has to do with roaming, so it shouldn't have any bearing on sending text messages (unless you're roaming). Your issue could be with Sprint and their service in your area, and not with the phone itself.

The most current PRL is 25015.....fyi.
Also, the issue may not be on your end-it may lie with whoever is sending you texts.

If you get that error you can try updating first over WiFi. I'd also do a reboot first. Once that works you can call sprint and they will refresh your connection on their side.

This happened to a friend of mine and he said he had fixed it by putting his phone on cdma only... I think sprint working on the towers was causing the issue... Not sure if this will work but doesn't hurt to try

There are usually many quick fixes for me when that happens, such as toggling airplane mode, rebooting, wiping and flashing my rom. One thing I've noticed is that having more than one sms app tends to make my messages not send, so if you have more than one messaging app I suggest deleting the non stock app and re-trying

I suggest taking it into your nearest sprint store and asking about it then, maybe they'll be able to replace your phone unless your warranty is dead

I think I was having the same problems back on my Blackberry, Sprint had to reconfigure my service or something, I can't really remember. But if nothing you do with PRLs/Phone systems then contact them to see if they just need to re-provision your line or something along those lines.
So I ran an ruu today brought and now they're sending me a new one now I'm rocking and EVO

Just make any call, and let it connect to sprint, they will activate your radio and ask a couple ?'s to verrify info, then you shall be good. This happens to a lot of people even to my wife and I.

I was at your house? lol
I do go in like 4 diff houses daily, satellite installation tech
I am in a chat with them now, I called and they told me take it to sprint, WTF
I was having this problem to. Calls on Sprint network were fine, but no incoming or outgoing while roaming. I had my wife's phone and it was also roaming, but working fine. I called Sprint and they had me do a battery pull then a profile and prl update. I don't know if they did anything on their side, but it is working again.
same thing happening to me. ill try batt pull and update and when roaming again test it and check back in.
Same thing happened to me, in addition to getting a error code 64 class 2 (Radio Interference Resource Shortage) when I tried to send a text message.
I called Sprint and the rep had me pull my battery while she did some reset. It didn't work. She then transferred me to tech support that remotely reset my phones data. That fixed my problem.
I'm getting this error a lot when sending and recieving texts... whats it casued by? is there a fix? an issue?
Call sprint, tell them your having data connectivity issues, they'll walk you through a data restore procedure. Worked for me

Ive be seeing the same issue but it seems to be related to the 2.08 update that got put out and the new radio. i tried the data profile update and prl but still the same thing.

Thats good to know i just flashed back to a old Radio and now its worse.
My texts are delayed and/or coming in batches. Same with the voicemails. This is a HUGE problem. I am S-off, 1.58 bootloader (I think that's the new one), rooted, and using viruses stock rooted sprint ROM. ANyone else having problems? I'm on sprint in the Denver area.
I have the exact same setup and issue with sms. I don't use voicemail so no idea on that. I think it started when I restored SMS from a backup. Have you done something like that recently?
I'm in the Denver area, running Mean ROM, ICS, having no issues with mms, sms or voicemails.
I would suggest a good wipe of your caches and a profile update.

All texts I receive are time stamped about 2-3 min ahead of my phones time so conversations get a bit hard to follow sometimes. I have tried to do resets, purges, different roms etc. I think it is a network issue with sprint... I don't doubt this because when they did tower upgrades here two weeks ago the auto time was set at PST and I live in Houston... It took a few calls to sprint before they would even acknowledge a problem and fix it.

They upgraded the network and it's so fast now that the texts travel forward in time. It's Network Vision!
In all seriousness, my phone will make me manually set my time zone occasionally as it can't get it from the network.

Happened to me too. Like it'd say the text was like from 9pm when it was really 3pm and it'd be so annoying because no matter what i send, it'd always be the most recent message.
Fyi, after clearing the caches, texts seem to be working as normal.

Also check that you're on a proper prl. I know it only affects roaming but I've had a similar issue. Tried different prls, mostly for the 3g roaming, and discovered that I wasn't even getting texts. Went to a different prl and issue resolved. Coincidence? Maybe... But it worked for me.

So you're saying you flashed the latest RUU and you still have an issue? If so, the problem must be hardware, not software. If you haven't done that, I would try that next, and then call Sprint and have them refresh your device. Or you can try to activate through Settings first.
I have question I can't send Sms to anyone but my wife we have sprint. So we called sprint and everything is good on that end but still can't text anyone. Can any buddy help rooted hboot 1.19 s-off stock jb and firmware.

Do you get an error message telling you the text doesn't get sent? Sounds like it could be a network issue, especially if your wife can receive messages from you. Do you have any issues receiving texts from anybody other than your wife?

Try wiping cache and davlik cache in recovery. Also try clearing data on the msg app as well. If that fails do a nand and flash a stock rom or a stock rooted rom and update profile and prl. Also reset your data connection and see if that helps at all.
