Hi,
I have an S4 running CM 10.1-20130728-Nightly. When I connect to BT and a call comes in and I switch to speaking with the phone, the person I am talking to can never hear me. I have to switch my BT off for my phone microphone to work.
On a side note my BT connection is not good at all, that is why I switch to the phone speaker when a call comes in. The person I am speaking to through BT can never hear me without tons of static. It also cuts off while playing music.
My main concern is my phone microphone being affected when trying to talk on the phone while listening to music through BT.
Is this CM or my S4?
Please help, I love CM and would hate to have to switch.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi guys got some questions and maybe some developers can help. Ok , like most people in here i use my phone to its full potential. As of current I use my phone to do skype calls constantly. Problem with this is unless u use a corded headset or use bt toggle to get sound and mic to go to bluetooth. With the corded headset you get very loud and stereo sound and can use the attached to the headset to talk with, but ur stuck with this cable that leads down to your incrediably huge phone. Bt toggle works good but sound quality that comes out to the bluetooth speaker is sooo very low. Other than these two ways the only other thing you can do is use skype like a speakr phone, which i dont think anyone would care to do ( brick to the ear). skype does go to the bluetooth headset wonderfuly if you have a2dp (ie bt810) but the problem is that the mic doesnt turn on so again your stuck with the problem of talking into the device's mic. is there anyway to turn on the mic while ur in a2dp, sorta like a bluetooth toggle but with the mic instead , mictoggle? if we could have something like this added into AP4 that would be incrediable ( even though i know it would be awesome even without this anyways )
I am sure this may be an issue for some people. my car stereo has bluetooth that links with my phone and mutes the car stereo and turns on speaker phone when a call comes in. i like the fact that it mutes the stereo since i usually have it very loud, but my problem is i cant set it to default to the phone earpiece and not the speakerphone, even when i answer a call and press the button to keep it on the ear piece, it switches right back to the stereo a second later, i press it again and it stays on the phone. i have had this issue with all my other phones as well and it drives me nuts. is there anyone who can come up with a fix for this?
i appreciate any input anyone may have on this.....
thanks
It is not a problem with the phone, it is to do with bluetooth profiles as they are designed to communicate with TWO devices not THREE. I also use car stereo for playing my music. I do not get that many calls while driving so I never use my bt headphones.
Moved to proper forum.
sorry about posting in the wrong forum. I am only trying to get it to default to the handset when i pick up a call. i do not use it to play music, so i have no need for that to even be an option, i just want to be able to pick up a call on my phone, and have it stay on my phone while it uses the bt link to mute and un mute the stereo. i find the speakerphones in car stereos to be totally worthless for talking, but i find the mute feature very useful.
I absolutely love the Titan but i think i've found a bluetooth bug that makes me want to throw it off a wall.
Try pairing your Titan to your car or bluetooth headset?
When I'm getting out of my car(s) I deactivate bluetooth or hit the button to so the audio switches back to the phone. What happens is I can still hear the person but the mic doesn't work. Anyone else have this issue? This happens about half of the time. I'm thinking its a HTC bluetooth issue.
I posted this in the WP7 thread on neogaf and someone else has found out he has the same problem. Its annoying because i'm trying to finish a conversation and all of a sudden i realize the person on the other end can't hear what I'm saying. My Focus or iPhone's never had this problem in any of my vehicles.
My titan has picked up the habit of connecting to my PC via bluetooth upon an incoming call. I switch the bluetooth to speakerphone in call several times a day; never had this issue.

Click to collapse
You can turn off the speakerphone function on your pc by viewing bluetooth devices, right click your phone, properties, 'Services' tab, uncheck 'Headset Audio Gateway'. Now the phone will slow mute the audio to your pc and start ringing when you get a call.
Bluetooth music streaming to my ford sync nav is ALLOT better quality than my htc arrive. When it switches to voice thou... its horrible. Its like a registry setting needs to be adjusted to increase the BT call volume, not the music streaming...
Hey, just flashed Liquid 2.7 for my S4 and everything seems to work great, except for hands-free calls through the included S4 headphones. I go to make a phone call with my headphones plugged in and no joy. I've also tried pulling them in while on an existing call and they don't work either.
Has anyone else experienced issues with making hands-free calls with Liquid 2.7 jflevzw? Just shooting in the dark, maybe installing Xposed might help?
Quick update, when making a call via my BT headset while my headphones are plugged in (or plugging them in during call) I have all my sources available to me: BT Headset, Wired Headset, Phone, Phone Speaker. When I change to the wired headset, no call audio comes through, but phone interaction noises route through the headphones.
I've tried to fix permissions through TWRP, but no change . That's about the only troubleshooting I've done.
Also, if you're thinking of flashing to Liquid, know GPS is a little funky. You need to turn off Wifi & mobile network location (Settings/personal/location) or GPS won't work.
Apparently this is an AOSP issue according to the guys over in the DEV forum.
Hi Guys,
My S9+ has some really weird Bluetooth issues during phone calls. Sometimes, the person on the other end sounds robotic (like a Dalek) but if I switch to speaker phone and back to BT it is fine. Other times, I get the most horrendous noise after a few minutes on the phone and again this disappears when I switch to speaker phone and back to BT.
I use Bose BT headphones, this does not happen with other devices. I’ve done multiple software updates etc and I’m at a loss as it is really frustrating! Does anybody have any ideas?
Currently running latest Pie firmwire but has been same since new.
Kind Regards,
Chris
When I listen music (Spotify or Youtube music), it get glitches if I use BT, but if I connect the wire I can listen without problems.
It's a Sennheiser 4.50BT
