I have Verizon XT912 I unlocked it and tried to install few roms on slot 1 and 2.
I placed a European SIM card inside and using it in Belgium.
I found out the the only way to use data is install 4.12 rom, 4.22 will work but data will not.
When I'm out of Europe I forward my cell phone do a voicemail in the office by using **21* and the number.
To disable forwarding I'm using the code ##21#.
This worked on every GSM phone, but with Verizon phone and sim card I get a message:
"Call forward is disabled outside verizon wireless network"
Does anyone know hos to solve this problem?
No one knows?
I just to completely remove all verizon rom kernel etc and flush a GSM rom, is it possible?

first install safestrap and then..
you should try out some ROMS like cyanogenomd or maybe Eclipse ROM for xt912.
they get rid of all the crap.

I tied installing few roms, none worked correctly.
Eclipse is the only one that worked, but it is 4.1.1, I still have forwarding issue.
I'm looking for 4.2.2 that will work.

Hi! Just tought I'd let you guys know I got GSM working properly (voice, data, sms) on stock-ish ICS leak (CONROM V4).
I just made the following changes to build.prop:
ro.config.lte=false
ro.telephony.default_network=3
Did a factory reset, and everything worked right away. APN was configured automatically, and there's no FC on the Mobile Network settings. It still shows the "This SIM card is from an unknown source" message, though :/
I believe this should work on stock ICS leaks and other custom roms built on it, but I've just tested it on CONROM V4 so far.
Let me know if this works for you
Soo..does that fix what all the gsm users have been asking for?

Just an update, I have tried this on the unmodified stock ICS leak and it works as well. Note that must wipe after modding and skip the Verizon activation for it to work.
You might also try a patch version made by con247 that modifies the build.prop directly, no need for manual modification:

thanks mate. it worked for me.
Thanks Boster27!
Also, working on getting the patch to work better.
This morning, I flashed Android Revolution. When I got to the setup screen, I noticed that I could not connect to my Verizon Mobile Network and that my SIM card was unable to be detected. My mobile data worked fine with Jedi X, my previous ROM, so I tried to go into my backup folder and restore back to my Jedi X ROM, and still no luck. I didn't tamper with my SIM card and I have no idea what could have happened. I really need this back by tomorrow for my work so I need immediate help.
PS. I tried going into my APN settings, and the options were blank. There literally was no apn option to choose from, so maybe that is the problem.
did you flash the vzw patch now sure where this rom is even at as it's not a verizon n2 rom at least that i have seen so more info would probably help

Yeah, I think I made a mistake by not knowing that Android Revolution supoported Vzw wireless note 2. What is this patch you speak of and when was it realeased?

It was made by Scott, the Cleanrom dev, and it fixes the issues that you would run in to with flashing other carrier roms. It doesn't work on n7100 roms though, only the roms for the N2 versions that have LTE. It was released write a while ago and still works just fine to my knowledge.

Isnt this a HTC One rom?
Is it possible to connect to AT&T wifi hotspots at Starbucks etc. if we have flashed the GE rom put out today? I like how my phone auto-connects to these wifi networks without me needing to do anything and I want to maintain this in the GE rom if possible.
I've pulled the ATT_HotSpot.apk and .odex files from /system/app/
I'm thinking that after flashing the GE rom, I can push those files back to /system/app/
Anyone have thoughts on this?
Found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645535
So I'm wondering if in addition to pushing the .apk and .odex files back after flashing GE, the wpa_supplicant.conf file(s?) will need to be modified to include the attwifi settings.
I found 3 config files and they are here:
/system/etc/wifi/
/etc/wifi/
/data/misc/wifi/
The first two are identical and only contain info for "attwifi". The last one has "attwifi" plus all other saved network and pw info in it.
I guess I won't know till I try it but if anyone has advice it is appreciated
You'll only need the WISP Service apk, which appears as 'AT&T Hot Spots' in the apps list. That is what takes care of the auto-login to AT&T WiFi networks. Just flash the attached zip, there's not configuration or anything, it just looks for SSIDs like attwifi and does auto-login if it can. It works on any 4.1 or 4.2 rom.

OK great! That would be a lot easier.
Curious though, whats the difference between the WISP Service apk and ATT_hotspot.apk? Or maybe its the same thing?
Also where did you get this? I don't see it in /system/app/ (I'm still on stock right now, probably gonna flash GE tomorrow)

The ATT_hotspot apk is to use your phone as a hotspot (tethering).
I got the apk from an AT&T stock rom then modified it to work with 4.2.2 as well.
Ahhh that makes sense.
So I can just put the zip on my sdcard, then install via TWRP right?
Figured it out.
Works like a charm! Thanks!
I still don't understand how you got this though. What directory was this in?

Thank you so much for this apk. I upgraded my 9.5.8 version, which was working flawlessly on my CM11 KitKat ROM. Then I upgraded to CM12.1 Lollipop and it didn't work, so I found and installed your 9.7.0 file and it works great on CM12.1 Lollipop. Thank you!
So I went ahead and risk to flash this rom. The developer said it support all note 3 models.
It is a S5/ note 4 rom. I like it. Using it as driver until jasmine updates to 2.5.
Anyways there some things of the note 4 s note that I can't use because of Knox. Here is the rom and some screen shots from me. By the way I have t-mobile service. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-t2891226
Thanks. I might give this a shot myself
?Galaxy ?Note 3?
I tried to install this on ROM slot 1 to give it a try, but it wouldn't boot. How did you install this?
I tried it on stock slot and it booted but no 4glte and lotsa bugs. . Sticking to JasmineROM 2.4.1
?Galaxy ?Note 3?
Yeah flashing a rom on slot 1 doesnt seem to work. I get lte on tmobile service. But the only bug I found was the after a reboot I loose cell connection and cant get it back.... But I'm testing roms from other variants without a kernel and so far im getting them working. We do have the same motherboard so there shouldn't be a problem on porting these roms. As of right now im porting hyperdrive from tmobile variant since its more updated than ours. Once I get it all working fine. I'll ask the developer if he let me take the porting of that here since he doesnt have a verizon note 3. Me and a friend also trying to port the sprint rom 4.4.4
What I really really really want is the liquidsmooth rom for retail edition. . Why won't they just unlock the bootloader already lol ?
do you guys know if their will be any lollipop ROMs for the Verizon Note 3? (non-dev)
Flashed on slot 1. Was pretty smooth for me, but no SMS/4g obviously. I'll try flashing NC4 radios to see if that does anything. Thanks for the find!

If it's such an easy task why don't you unlock the bootloader? If you really really really want liquid smooth, perhaps make a more informed purchase next time and buy a dev unit or a phone whose manufacturer supports unlocking like HTC or Motorola.

With a locked bootloader you will not find a flashable kernel. You can only odin flash it.
Ok so I have Paranoid Android 4.4.4 and I had upgraded to the most recent (I believe 5.1) and no matter what I did or straight talk did, I couldn't find a solution to get the data to work. I ended up having to downgrade back to 4.4.4 to get data to work. Has anyone had this issue with this phone and lollipop on Straight talk? The best I can figure is that straight talk doesn't support Android Lollipop..can anyone confirm this or post a fix to this problem? Thank you guys.
FYI
Before someone says use the search, I have already and googled for hours, there is a bunch of stuff on APN settings but nothing for my problem. Thanks again.

Try flashing a LP modem/radio via recovery. Maybe PA doesn't include a radio so the phone is using the older KK radio and it might be causing incompatibility issues.

Just confirming - as far as I know, AOSP/CM-based ROMs NEVER include a radio/modem.
