Aren't invitations sent basing on the IMEI of the phone? It doesn't change when you update your OS.

Yes, but in the questionnaire, it asks if you're running ICS or the JB leak. When I choose JB, it still let me continue and sign up for the soak.

This can be used to return a phone to stock.

Dual boot, anyone working on it?

Just trying to get this idea out there if its not being worked on yet, this phone definitely has the space. But is it possible?

Just figured I would give a "bump" to this Q&A since this dual-booting Samsung & AOSP is working well at this point. There are a few caveats and I am compiling a FAQ on just this topic. DerTeufel's thread is here and the OP references my FAQ > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2239453

Does this version of the kernel work for the i605? The version that was posted in Original Development had issues with the recovery that DerTeuFel has been trying to fix.

He has already stated that he is working on a different recovery for the VZW users in the VZW thread. The reason I ask is because the thread states it is for all t0lte users, which the VZW Note 2 is the t0ltevzw, so if this one works he wouldn't have to create a new recovery. He would just have to upload that version.

We won't be getting 4.4. Period. It's a year old phone with a LOCKED bootloader, why would they give us 4.4? They want us to upgrade. They aren't here to serve us, we're here to serve them. Now, while it would be nice, there's Nexus devices for it.
Sorry to burst your bubble :/

Yeah, exactly. CyanogenMod may be the only way SOME users experience 4.4. These companies sure have us right where they want us.

I think we have a chance at getting an update. Maybe not 4.4, but so far LG has kept this phone on par with their flagship, the original optimus G. The optimus G is rumored to be getting kitkat, we might get it too.

Google claims that 4.4 will work on devices with 512mb ram and will be optimized to work on low/mid range phones,so i dont see why we couldnt get 4.4....It depends on LG.
When i said that before 1-2 months,everybody write,are u have some sources...just google..

Read part Android 4.4 features..
As you can see they will use linux kernel 3.8 which dont use much ram and handles task better
Release date 14 or 31.October...
