[Q] Tried to update Renovate Rom - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

So I have recently downloaded the Renovate 4.1 rom and tried to update with full wipe since update feature seemed broken. Now when phone rebooted after flash it sticks at HTC Quietly Brilliant boot screen. Logs from full wipe install showed no errors. Do I have to download the new stock kernel before i update? If so, will it be a problem if I flash new kernel now that the 4.1 rom is installed?
EDIT: Problem was fixed by flashing new kernel.

Help installed official stock jelly bean as second ROM and I cant get rid of it

I installed official deoxed stock Samsung jelly bean as a cwm zip and flashed it as a second ROM in dorimanx kernel. Neither ROM (PAC Man or stock jelly) would boot so I wiped data (stupidly didn't do a back up :'( )and can boot into PAC Man ROM however I cannot boot the stock jelly bean and if I try to wipe the second ROM it works but then if I check the status it says second ROM found and gives me the details of the Sammy ROM. How can I remove it???
I've just done a completely clean install, wiped installed the rom the kernel and all apps again and it still has the Samsung ROM
when you say wiped, did you format both cards and system, data and cache from recovery or do a factory reset ?
I fixed it I tried yet again to do a 2nd ROM deletion and it worked this time no idea why though

[Q] Can't install any JB ROM

So was running an old version of PA 2.16 by Th3Bill and I kept having a problem where Apollo would crash. So I decided I was going to do a clean install of the newest version of PA 2.99 Final. Verify the MD5 and install with the guide on his page here: http://th3bill.com/?page_id=150
Making sure I have the proper CWM Recovery and Aroma Prep installed. At first it took the ROM, but it kept hanging a few seconds after boot and then rebooting infinitely. Tried doing a complete wipe and starting the process over. Now it CWM Recovery locks up and the screen glitches out during the ROM install at 40%. I tried the CM10 ROM it does the same thing. I tried to restore my backup of PA 2.16 and it took the files, but it just looped endlessly. Lastly I tried restoring a backup of a GB ROM and that booted and worked perfectly, but I'd prefer to get back on JB.
Anyone know what could be wrong and where I should start?

installing liquid v2.9 issue

I have a sch-i500 that is rooted with cwm working.
I am very interested in running liquid smooth v 2.9 found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2245120
so I did a format, wiped the cache and davlik. when I installed the zip from external sd card the phone immediately gave me a screen for CWM v 6.0.3.3.
I can still navigate and restore old back ups but the phone does not go past the Samsung logo on the boot screen. Any advice is appreciated.
I was previously running stock 2.3.5 E09 if that helps

Oh so close.
When coming from 2.3.x ROM you will need to flash the rom (liquid: or other 4.2.x) you will need to flash 2 more times...
The 1st flash get you into the new recovery only,,, as you found out.
2nd flash will pop up with an error message about incompatible partition and telling you to re-flash again,,,
So 3rd flash actually installs your new ROM
Then install a current/compatible Google gapps
.
Enjoy
.
Thank you, I am getting closer.
still on the second and third flash of the rom I get a satus 7 error which I think is a bootloader issue.
I have flashed the GBbootloader.tar through odid to no avail and am following Section:4 How to flash any ICS 4.0.x & 4.x.x JellyBean based rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1238070
anythoughts?

what does the error say besides status 7?
did you odin the CWM4 fixed for cm7 then install the ROM 3 times?
can you get a pic up for us to see?
just to be sure......using odin, I repartitioned with the pit, and flashed a E03 rom. rebooted the phone fine.
flashed the CWM4 fix for 7 and redid the GB bootloaders as well.
went into recovery and factory reset, wiped cache, and dalvik.
installed liquid-JB-v2.7-Official-fascinatemtd.zip this time first time took me directly to clockwork where I flashed again. prompted with install from sdcard complete. repeated and got same message.
factory reset, wipe, wipe and flashed gapps. Everything seems to have worked this time with the v2.7Official instead of 2.9. I will play with this for just a bit and probably try it again tonight with a fresh downloaded copy of v2.9. I really do appreciate your assistance and help and I would not have gotten this far without the forum.
update:
flawless installation of v2.9 since 2.7 was already installed. (installed via cloclwork mod recovery)
It was most likely an operator error that prevented me from installing 2.9 after E03. But I don't see the benefit of going back to recreate why it didn't work. Thanks again all is good and right.

jb to lollipop, am i doing it wrong?

so ive been out of the loop for a while (2-3 years) but decided to updated my old omega v34, boeflla kernel jellybean s3 to the one in my sig (essentially blisspop+boeflla 4 alpha 13+gapps lollipop).
i updated my boot manager to twrp as suggested. rebooted. i did a format data, folowed by delvik cache and cache wipe, then a system wipe. i then installed the rom and gapps, then rebooted. i was still on the old kernel at this point.
as i rebooted i experienced some hanging, and then after taking off the battery and rebooting and finishing the setup process, i rebooted and installed the latest lollipop boeffla kernel. i still got some hanging so i full wiped again and repeated the process of installing the rom/gapps. my modem as remained the same and i have not updated it since last i did 2012.
as of now, i am still experiencing some freezes, but not as frequent as before and some slowdown. is there something that i messed up or forgot to do in the installation? any help is greatly appreciated.
@rab1412000412:
1. TWRP is a recocery, not a bootloader.
2. Maybe, you should update your firmware 1st. What modem is installed?
ddlj1 from 2012. i changed my gapps and its much more stable now.
@rab1412000: then you had old 4.1-firmware and can be happy, that LP-ROM didn't refresh your modem. I recommend to go back to your old firmware. Make sure, that IMEI and net access are ok. Then update via KIES, OTA or Odin to newest 4.3. Backup this version and flash any ROM you want.

Can't run Paranoid Android 5.1

Hello guys,
I have problems running latest official PA for GT-I9300 (Int'l).
After wiping dalvik, cache, system and data I installed rom zip and gapps zip and rebooted. Phone automatically rebooted me to recovery (TWRP 2.8.5.0).
Again I wiped everything installed rom zip and now I tried installing boeffla kernel 3.1 CM12 NG and gapps zip. After rebooting I see installing apps and when it completed all my applications forceclosed and phone rebooted. Now I keep getting optimizing apps and when it completes phone just reboots.
I tried doing same thing but with leanKernel AOSP v5.1 but I get same thing as installing no kernel.
I appreciate any kind of help. If you need more information just ask.
Thank you.
Official Paranoid is the only LP-ROM for S3, which doesn't boot with build-in kernel. So don't expect anything from that and take Gokulbalram's Inofficial.
