[Q] Paranoid Android missing PIE status notifications - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am running pa_skyrocket-3.57-10JUN20130131650 and pa_gapps-full-4.2-20130719-signed on my ATT Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket.
I like the PIE features, but the status notifications don't show up if PIE gravity is set to anything besides the bottom. I get the "back", "home" and "multitask" buttons. When it is set on the bottom, I also get the time, battery info, date and any notifications. Does anyone know how to enable the missing status notifications when PIE gravity is set to anything besides the bottom?

BUMP
I am also having this issue.

[Q] Notification bar / windowshade at bottom?

The screen on this phone is too damn big for me to reach the notification bar one handed!
Are there any Touchwiz-based ROMs which retain all the built in features AND have the setting to put the notification bar at the bottom instead of the top?
CM is not an option as it dispenses with all the TW stuff.
While I'm about it, I may as well ask if a ROM with the above feature and also some sort of fix for the low auto-brightness setting exists as well?

[Q] Display ongoing apps in notification shade

Previously my S3 could display whatever apps that was running in the notification shade (pull down notification / status menu thingy). It was simple to switch between apps this way. After I upgraded to JB, this function was gone. I can't remember what app it was that made that happen or was it something in ICS.
Does anyone know how to get this function back or what app I could get to achieve this function?

[REQ] Volume Notification in Statusbar

I saw a mockup on Reddit a few months ago that showed the volume toast notification in the statusbar rather than as a popup in the middle of the screen. Does anybody know if there's an app or an Xposed module that would provide this functionality, specifically for TouchWiz 4.2? If not is this something that could be easily implemented by a developer or am I completely out of luck?

Disable stock Lollipop notification drawer?

I am using Remix ROM for my Galaxy S3, it's Lollipop 5.1.1. I prefer to use Power Toggles notification bars, so to conserve screen space I'd like to turn off/disable/get rid of the stock notification drawer. I have gone into the settings and removed all the tiles, however when you swipe down on notification area the space where the tiles for at least one row would be, is still there, just blank Any way to do this? Thanks a lot for your help

Question How to Hide Persistent App Icon

So I'm coming from a pixel 6 pro to the galaxy s23 ultra. It's my first Samsung phone so I'm still getting familiar with the Samsung flavor of Android.
Is there a way to hide/not display an apps persistent notification icon from the status bar? I use a diabetic monitoring app(xdrip+) which has to always be running for obvious reasons. The app produces a graph which is always visible when I pull down the notification bar, I like that peice and want to keep it. However having the icon displayed in the status bar at all times is an eye sore.
On the pixel (and previously my oneplus 7 pro) I could set the notification to "silent" and it would hide the icon but would still display the graph in the notification bar. I can't find a way to mirror that on my galaxy s23. I can disable the persistent notification all together, but then I lose access to the handy graph.
When the notification shade is down and all notifications are visible you tap and hold the notification you want to change and after a moment a few options will appear and you tap settings and it takes you yo settings for that notification

I tried that, and setting it to "silent" didn't do anything sadly. I also tried disabling the notification entirely but that sadly made the graph go away as well.

At the bottom tap notification categories and go through there

Ahhhhh thank you. I fooled around a bit in there before but didn't realize that there were sub options within sub options. Thank you so much for the help, I'm now able to hide the icon.
