I installed MysteryEmotionz kernal [KERNEL][4.1.2]B18c1[UPDATED 07-31][CFX-ToolChain] with SnowJB 1.1 Rom and i think i notice a little stuttering in some games that i dont remember before. Is their a way in the Faux123 Kernel Enhancement Pro app to get rid of stutters in games and make them smooth again? When i flashed the kernal all i did was clear the cache and dalvik wipe before and after flashing because no way i'm reinstalling all my apps again. Thanks in advance.

If you have the option to disable HW overlays in developer settings it may work.

I didn't touch the settings, i left everything default after i installed it. The default overclocks the gpu to 480 from 400. I'll try moving up the clock speed from 1.5 to 1.7. an example is when ur moving in games and the walls on the sides will have a small stutter as you go by it. It just might be the game but i'm just wondering if i might of done something or not have done something.

It could be a couple or things. First, I wouldn't really recommend using SnowJB and ME's kernels together. Two completely different sources and not optimized for each other. Two, It could just be the game(s). Or three, the latest version of Faux is having slight issues. I reverted to Trickster MOD for the time being.
Just some things to test out:
>Clear data for Faux and then reboot. Test your games afterwards.
>If you still have stutters, install Trickster MOD and set some preferred settings. Although, you shouldn't have to change any settings to prevent stuttering. So it might be worth skipping this.
Lastly, if all else fails, you can simply restore the stock SnowJB kernel by wiping dalvik and cache, and flashing the ROM on top of itself. As long as you don't wipe data/factory reset, all your apps and settings will be saved. But of course make a backup first, just in case.
thanks

Changed the name, because it really was designed for Nookie-Froyo. Removed MediaServer and cache features because they are irrelevant with 0.6.8 and add a force status bar feature which only works if you are on ROM based off of 0.6.8 and status bar framework update.
I wrote a graphic app that views/changes the LCD Density, restarts MediaServer, allows you to see the CPU usage of the MediaServer, and clears the Market Cache and Dalvik-cache. Let me know how it works and what OS you are using? Also, let me know if you want me to add any additional functions.
why would you want to restart the mediaserver?

Thanks for this. I flashed the BT cm7 over #15. I understand there's a dpi that works for scaling with Google reader. I could use this instead of modifying build.prop?
edit: and i presume a reboot needed for it to take effect.

It will reboot it for you. If you need a different density then the ones that I have included, just let me know and I will add it.
Edit: Actually, I could get it to work so a reboot is not needed and the change would not be permanent. Would this be a useful feature to add?

I had to use brianf other app to stop the MediaServer because of youtube keep playing audio. This was with a different froyo 2.2 ROM.
I guess this app has more functions and would also work for that purpose.

i think so... the stock setting in cm7 works to show all apps in the market, but borks greader. it'd be nice if i could manually edit (permanent) the density to fix greader since i use that regularly but then quickly change it if i need/want to see my apps in the market.
tried installing this, says problem parsing the package
this supposed to work on 2.1 rom?
I think we are overlapping at least two other uses of the term "media server" (not unusual in the world of technology), making a web search difficult.
Can someone point me to an explanation of the Android use of the term?
Thanks !

There is a service that runs at boot that handles streaming media. This service is called mediaserver. This app restarts the mediaserver binary when it starts using up the CPU.

I've seen some people have this problem but never a sure solution.
I have tried different CM7.1 ROMs, and a couple different pershoot kernels, I also have used the hacked netflix and the non-hacked one from the market, but still get super fast playback on netflix so everyone sounds like a chipmunk.

This has worked for me for cm7 nightly 72 all the way up to cm7.1rc1 which I am currently on.

It's doing the same thing for me. I've got 7.1 running on my NC with dalingren's kernel overclocked to 1200. Changing the overclock settings doesn't do anything either.
I wish there was a fix for this.
I keep getting the "Process.android is not responding" a lot and "System" is not responding too. And the phone sometimes reboots/turns off by itself. I'm running J.A.F.'s CM7.2 with the fix applied, allinone, ICS theme with animations. Governor set to SMARTASS and min cpu up to 245MHz with max at 800.
Does anyone have any idea about this? I'm starting to get these frequently.
Besides those error reports, reboots/turn offs, everything works flawlessly. I really don't know what the issue could be :/
I suggest trying a full wipe - dalvik/data/factory and reflashing without the theme. I had no problems without the theme. Don't forget gapps.

Yeah man, I know what you mean. But Quick Pic messes up when I scroll from picture to picture. When I slide to the next image, it lags the previous one behind it and shows the next one but with the previous one chopped up behind it.
Let me take a screenshot....
EDIT: Reinstalled and there's no lag. The difference is that I took off the ICS theme. I'm not sure if the theme was the one that caused it but its not happening anymore. If it happens again, I'll post a screenshot.

I would still flash them. Those you don't use can be frozen. Some of these apps need each other to function. For instance I have been told by many people that the Market need GTalk to work. Save yourself unnecessary trouble and play it safe.

EDIT: Weird, I wiped everything (Cache, Dalvik cache, Factory reset) then reflashed the rom and my phone was stuck on that ANDROID word before the bootanimation. Was I supposed to go back to CM7.1 and reflash 7.2?
I forgot to mention, I moved all the Dalvik Cache to the SD card with S2E. Think that would have performance issues?
I am using a Galaxy note II i605. I flashed jellybeans build 13 with the perseus kernel, and noted that the screen appeared slightly darker in sunlight, the max volume was no longer that loud (on stock, i could hear my music on the NYC subway, now I could not) and System UI would crash whenever I selected an app from the recent apps list (using the Sense theme).
Has anyone else experienced this?

Additionally, I also noticed my 4G connection was very very slow, about 500kbps. This is definitely slower than stock.

Thanks. However, the biggest issue I have right now is signal strength. Speedtest sometimes doesnt even find a server and says network issues. When it does run, I get speeds of about 200kbps now. When I go back on stock I dont have any issues.

Finally I got some new results today, after struggling with this problem for months.
First I tried all the suggested methods (clearing the call log, installing all those apps), and none of them worked -- except CWM that I didn't try, because I wasn't root.
What solved my problem, was to do a clean flash (and wipe everything during flashing). The problem was totally gone. Note that "wiping every thing" during flashing is a key thing that I guess last time I hadn't done.
Everything was good until I restored all my backed up contacts -- around 1500 contacts. Then it was laggy again!
Then I again did a hard reset. Problem was gone again. But this time I was lucky enough to restore the contacts, and have my system in a healthy state -- no lags so far! I don't know what was different this time, but it's got to have something to do with the contacts!
I'll keep you updated if I find any changes -- worth reporting.

Just remove any VOIP software you have like viber, skype , etc. I know you might be using them but yeah sony's rom has issues with viber specially which causes this lag.. if u wanna use viber use a cm rom or stock ics, or gb. JB is buggy in terms of 3rd party VOIP support
