Hey people, I noticed many people posted their phones' performance score on ROM's threads and most of those reached over 10,000 points but mine scored under 10,000 points? How do I improve my score? Thanks guys.

Benchmarks are pointless as they are not indicative of day to day use. As long as it doesn't lag and it meets your needs don't worry about the score

i am consistently getting low Quadrant Benchmark scores on my SG2. is there a hardware fault with my device? my average score is 2800 and there is virtually nothing running in the background when performing the benchmark tests.
Does it fell slow? If not you shouldn't care, Quadrant is a pos.

well, interestingly, gameplay isn't so great in asphalt 6 adrenaline samsung apps free version, and there is minimal lag when swiping between screens in apps folder (could be due to crappy screen protector)
but i've gone through more than one sg2 in the past, and this is the first one showing scores less than 3000. =(
I do occasionally get 3000-3200, but in most cases <3000 (even when doing 3-4 tests in a row)
There is a new option in settings called system power saving that limits the cpu to only 800mhz, try that.

+1.
Quadrant is ****. Nuff said.
So I've been unable to get higher benchmarks than what I've attached. I know its not really a way to judge my phone, but rather me being curious. How are people getting such high scores on their rezounds? I'm currently running CleanROM 4.1 and loving every bit of it. Let me know what your scores are and what you've done to get those scores.

the highest score i ever got was 7200 on BAMF ICS v1.1 with SebastianFM's kernel.

I got a very similar score the first time I ran Antutu with CleanRom 4.1 (in the mid 3000's). I tried it again a few days later, not having changed anything in particular and got a 6276. So I'm not sure why there was a 3000+ point discrepency.
I've tried it a couple times and its consistantly in the 3000 range. I've never seen even remotely close to 7000 on my Rezound no matter what Rom I was running, lol.

those benchmarking apps are inaccurate and useless. tried running twice back to back. first over 7000 then just barely 3500. total waste of time

Yeah I know they're not accurate, but until I have a better way to test it, I use em for the hell of it.

im also getting crap benchmarks on any gb kernel i try, doesn't make sense for a dual core device.
I've been hitting around 6k with Antutu.
I mostly use it as a comparison to my old Inctedible though...this phone is super smooth, so I don't really care what the benchmark says!

what are you guys getting with cf-bench and the updated quadrant?

I've been getting decent scores with quadrant, but they haven't updated the list of devices so its hard to have anything to compare it to. I haven't tried the other one.
Also, I know there's a difference, but I get scores in the high 8000s with my Xoom overclocked to 1.5 ghz, but only 3000s with my Rezound clocked at 1.5 ghz as well.

This has been discussed in Sebastians thread. It has to do w/ an issue with mpdecision. Besides benchmarks mean nothing!
All Day
I consistently get over 7000 when I run Antutu. Overclocked to 1.834 on cleanrom 4.3
I get close to 3000 with Quadrant...but I only really use it to see if new tweaks help or hurt.

Anyone notice a performance drop in jellybean? I've added some pics to illustrate. With JB I lost around 500 points ..antutu and quadrant dropped too. Anyone else?

Eh it's a benchmark, who knows what could have done it.

Yes i have the same problem i felt it was sluggish whats you quadrant score mines around 6k and in cf bench i get scores lower than gs3 on native and barely better overall. Im about to factory reset monday and reinstall it all.
What about battery life?
Thanks.

The update needs to settle a bit before that can be answered. Performance may increase too...

Thanks for your reply :good:
As for performance, I never cared for benchmarks.
I did everything from scratch and after installing JB I did a factory reset, formatted the external microSD, and reinstalled all my apps.
So far very happy with the new under the hood features and icons. I recommend this update.
The new update has been running great for me. If anything it feels like it's running faster. Battery life doesn't really seem worse but it doesn't really seem any better either. Still a worthwhile update that will hopefully spur further development.
Benchmarks don't matter and are a terrible way of measuring real world performance, but I am pushing almost 8000 quadrant scores on completely stock JB Also your geekbench screenshots show it outperforming everything but the Nexus 10 which has an A-15 and a better GPU.

My quadrant are 6000. I hit 7800 on ics. And it beat the nexus 10 on ics.

Actually, when upgrading from ICS to JB a small performance drop should be expected. I read this in some post a LONG while back when JB 4.1 came out. It has to do with Project Butter. I noticed this with all three devices I own too (HP Touchpad, Nook Tablet, and my beloved LG OG).
I hit 7989 on Quadrant. Completely stock yesterday.

A somewhat minor issue, but has anyone else had a score of 0 on their Antutu benchmark related to the sd card read and write speeds?
Sent from my LG-E970 using xda app-developers app
Hm. Does this depend on it being found at /mnt/sdcard/external_sd? Because it looks like they changed it to /storage/external_SD in the update. It's not accessible at /mnt/sdcard/external_sd.
Why do you when care about antutu? Does it make you proud if your phone scores high or sad when it scores low?
Not trying to be a **** but cave care less about my antutu score or anyone else. I just care about how my phone feels in my hand. I like a combination of performance n battery life. Cause the way my phone is set up ib score low but the phone is smooth as better n I can go all day on a single charge.
FYI: last time I checked I had the top score got are device on antutu. I ran the test to check if my kernel mods made a difference.

I flashed some of chaotic weaponry stweaks profile and did this benchmark to see what I get. Is my phone fast ? Can it be faster? Just wondering
Sent from my SCH-I605 using xda app-developers app
What was the score prior to flashing the tweaks, and does your phone feel faster after flashing the tweaks?
The note 2 can benchmark way higher than that. However I prefer smoothness and battery efficiency..
People actually care about benchmark scores?

Lol my thought exactly. These days, it's all about the software. Worrying about hardware speed is a thing of the past.
