Need some input on a hardware "situation" - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I hope this section is the right one for my kind of question, this would be all hardware issues mostly.
I just replaced a screen for the samsung galaxy s2 GT-I9100M, screen is looking good, everything works fine, however, since I did a screen swap from another phone, I did not have any of the double sided glue to, I guess, hold it in place. As of now, my screen is slowly popping out from one corner ever so slightly that I can see light bleeding through the gap it makes with the frame. I just want to confirm is this is only due to just me not having double sided glue alone the back that the screen is placed on. I ordered some d.s tape as I thought it would help me, should be coming later.
Secondly, I noticed that just sometimes the screen wouldn't be as responsive, sometimes touches won't register unless I press just a bit. Would this be because the top glass is a little loose? (due to no tape?). I was wondering if someone can explain to me how the touch inputs actually works. Do you only need to the glass or does the glass have to be close to the LCD for it to register as a touch input. Because if that's the case, then I suppose having the d.s tape can solve all my problems.
Any advice or suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks a lot. I'm repairing a phone for a friend and its a surprise. : )

[Q] replaced digitizer... not the same though..

my digitizer cracked so I went ahead and ordered a replacement kit. It came with all the tools and adhesives required. I did everything according to the video on youtube showing how to take apart the aria. Upon resealing it all... I realized there was significant bleed from the bottom of the screen coming from where the four LED's are under the buttons, and the adhesive didn't really hold all that well either. Also, the digitizer is placed as tight as possible on to the actual phone.. but its not flush... Does anyone have any experience with this issue? If not can you please point me to an article that explains this well? I'm willing to purchase some new adhesive somewhere also if that's the case. Can you please post a link to a good one that I can use? Thanks.

You must place white backlight strip (film) near to (a litle bit over LEDs) LEDs ( a little bit down)

[Q] Chipped glass panel

Hello,
I apologize that this is my first post. Here are the details. I accidentally dropped a knife on my tab 10.1. There is a tiny chip now because of it on the glass panel. The LCD itself is fine since ther's no distortion of colour or dead pixels, but I'm woried that this could lead to the panel itself cracking over time, much like a chipped windshield will lead to a cracked windshield.
Are my concerns warranted or am I worrying over nothing? I feel like this thing is cursed so far, as punishment for being an impatient Canadian and buying it before its official launch date. First the infamous Newton Rings, now the chipped panel. Other than it being eye catching in the right light, it doesn't affect the function of the screen at all. Touch sensitivity remains as good as ever on the chip itself as well.
Please advise. My current thoughts are to get it filled in with a windshield chip repair kit, buying a screen protector (however late it is), or leaving it alone.
Thanks in advance I for any help.

How small is tiny? I doubt glass filler would work because isn't the screen actually plastic? If you put a screen protector on, it will on magnify the chip because it will leave a bubble in the screen protector.
As long as you avoid cooking around your tab from now on I think you'll be fine. windshield repair kit is likely to do more harm than good, especially when it comes to touch sensitivity/responsiveness. Sorry about your bad luck.

Tiny as in really tiny. I have to actively look for it when I turn the screen off. When I hold it in the right light too I can tell thwt it's just a surface scratch because of the tiny shadow it casts on the LCD screen. I suppose it's less of a chip and more of a gouge, if there's any difference.
Here's hoping it doesn't worsen.
I'm not an expert on the subject, but my understanding is that windshield glass is a special type of glass, made in a specific way that prevents it from shattering during an impact, and that specific functionality is also what causes chips to turn into cracks over time (never mind the fact that you are constantly applying all that wind pressure as you drive). Since none of these things applies to your tablet, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
this I'd exactly the thing I wanted to hear. Thank you sir.

Galaxy S3 Glass Screen coming away from Double Sided Tape

Hi Guys,
I have an S3 i9305, that I have replaced the screen (I purchased a complete screen & frame), Geniuine Samsung part where the screen and frame are already bonded together with double side tape. (did this after I cracked my original screen,). IT was pretty easy to replace..
Unfortunately, the double sided tape that attaches the glass screen to the frame is starting to come apart at the home button end.
Does anyone know any way to try and fix this.. its coming apart about 1-2mm, where I keep pushing it back down, but it's lost its stick.
If you've ever repaired one, you would know its practically impossible to remove the screen from the frame without Cracking it.
I've considered dropping a tiny bit of super glue just around the home button.. but worried I might stuff the mic/home button..
Any helpful suggestions on how to repair?
One thing I have just thought of is a case that pushes the screen down / clamps together in two parts that click together (like otterbox etc).. ie, where the case pushes the screen against the body..least this will stop the screen coming away.
Thanks for any help.

Is my screen broken?

These past few days, I've been noticing unresponsiveness to touch in a certain part of my screen. This screenshot shows what I mean. I never lifted my finger while drawing, and I swiped up and down continuously. The middle band of unmarked screen seems to be failing and only works when pressed harder. Am I going to have to get it repaired? I'm tempted to use this as an excuse to jump to the G4 when it comes out but I'd rather get this fixed if there's any way I can do it

I recently broke my screen glass and digitizer. I had a region that was vertically oriented that didn't work over the rest of the screen. It is possible that the digitizer or maybe connections to the digitizer are broken. I ended up buying a new screen, as it comes with the digitizer and glass. Reading about it sounded like a huge pain to even think about just replacing the digitizer and glass. The new screen was around $70-80 on Amazon. Process was well documented on iFixit and youtube. The only problem I had was that I didn't receive my order of adhesive tape and didn't want to wait. Now I have a 1 inch area that leaks light. I can live with it until I decide it is worth cracking open again to properly seal it up.
