Hello, so few days ago I bought a new phone, Gigabyte Gsmart Aku A1, and I've seen a lot of bloat in it and some SystemUI bugs (No lockscreen shortcuts in settings). So I was wondering how do I root this phone? I can't find anything about this phone, since it launched recently.
EDIT: Nevermind, I used MTK 6598 Root tutorial and it worked.

Well, it's powered by one of the fastest MediaTek chips, MTK 6598, it has Quad-core Cortex A5 clocked at 1.2 GHz, so far I've never encountered any lag, I can even play GTA 3 maxed out. Build quality is very good too, it's quite heavy which gives the phone a feel that if it drops it won't fall apart like Galaxy S3 or those thin, light smartphones. The display resolution is good, and the touch is good, but the viewing angles are pretty bad (the horizontal ones are just fine, but the vertical has ultimate color-shifts. Battery is good, I can last about 2 - 3 days, depending on usage. The only disappointing about the phone is the camera, well it has good focus and not that much noise than on my previous Xperia U phone, it lacks colors, they're very cold. But if you want to take pictures just buy a camera and be happy with it. So overall for the price (Got it for 190$) it's the #1 price to performance phone. It's much better than my Xperia U which lagged a lot, now there's 0 lag.

He used ttp://gleescape.com/posts/2376 and it worked for me as well. You just have to cerefully follow all steps and you will be fine. The only problem i had was with windows mt65xx (android) driver for using adb... I have used PdaNetZ350. It is some tool for sync. phone and pc or something like that, but it will install all needed drivers.

FOr rooting you can download Framaroot.apk (version 1.6 or older).If you want I can take you the CWM for this phone

My parents don't understand English and it is very important to get the UI menus to Estonian.

Bought a new XOLO X1000 this week will be delivered to me soon. Its a new phone by XOLO launched recently.
The Xolo comes powered by Intel Atom Processor with Hyper Threading Technology similar to what we have seen on the Xolo X900, but the X1000 is clocked at 2GHz. The handset runs on the ICS OS over a 4.7 inch screen.

Have you tried bin4ry's rooting tool? It works on loads of smartphones running ics and above, so it might work on yours too.
You might end up having some development on this phone if and when it ends up with a developer.

Week back i purchased this mobile. This is awesome in speed and price range (now reduced):good:, Sad thing is no rooting procedure and DEV support for this device:crying::crying: Hope it will be available soon because this device is having 2GHZ 32-bit INTEL atom processor and 1gb ram and on screen buttons(very useful for huge development). I think any operating system(Android/windows) can be developed for this device. HOPE so..

I am currently using this phone, and it is an awesome device! Someone please start developing for it..The recent 4.1.2 update also has helped tremendously.. I think no none wants to try developing is because of the x86 architecture, but if it is done, it will be a huge step forward...

Someone with this phone try installing SRT AppScanner from play store and tell me if either of the bugs listed say vulnerable please. If so Cydia Impactor will work to get your device rooted. The guy under this post said that the bugs arent vulnerable but if you continue to read this thread you will see it does indeed work!

I've run the app.. It reported the phone as secure.. Will that help for the root process?
Unfortunately no, we were hoping for one of the bugs to say vulnerable to use the root method I was thinking of. Did you try root by restore?

All the phones in the X series are bootloader locked and also root exploit proof... I had a x900 before x1000 and it was rootable... but the creeps found out and patched the phone so root was not possible... but rickywyat of modoco found a way to downgrade the phone and that solved it... this was way before x1000's launch... so im pretty sure they wont do the mistake again .... I was planning on contacting Dan Rosenberg of azimuth security for help... he has unlocked all the locked down bootloaders.... also it's risky doing anything on x1000 as we can't use fastboot adb or recovery to reflash the Tom if something goes wrong .... I have got something called the medfield flasher but don't have My phone so ill try once i get my phone back if reflash is doable and report... if so we can try any crap we want with the phone without fear ..

On an unrelated note, since the phone is has an 32 BIT processor, theoretically, can't we install any operating system on it? Eg, Windows 7/8 and Linux? Forgive me if this sounds stupid, 'cause I don't know much about tech to this extent.. But it should be possible, right?

Actually it aint stupid... it can be done... but the bootloader being locked is the problem... Ubuntu is available for android but needs a rooted bootloader unlocked phone to work... It needs porting to... If you know what i mean... As in recompiling the whole thing with our kernel to work... itll be fairly easy as we can use the ubuntu image for the nexus prime and recompile it... i cant do it as i am an intermediate... I know stuff but not to this extent... Windows 8&7 dont know... as everyone does the opposite by buying lumias and putting android in it... I want bootloader unlock just for kitkat... and also for some audio mods as i love music...
So unless those sons of bit**es xolo gives a bootloader unlock/signing key/proper software updates all of them will go to hell...(atleast what i want..) Like my page on facebook... Xolo brand haters it only has 2 likes and me being busy couldnt promote it...

the flash tool is for mediatek... the ROM I don't know..... but depending on the size not xolo x1000 jb as it was only 213 mb... for confirmation u can unzip the ROM and check the build.prop in system folder... device name will be given... and everything regarding xolo x series in that page is bull****.... nothing works...

First, I swear that I already searched all the forum posts for my device support (Sharp SH930W - Japan smartphone) but there are none.
I can't find the way to root my phone and of course I can't install ROM (if available) for this phone too . I know that this is not a famous smartphone but it running Android 4.1.1 and have all the standard apps, the phone is quite powerful itself (dual core, 2Gb RAM, 5inch IGZO screen)
If there is noway to root it, perhaps help me to toggle fullscreen mode (hide status bar, bottom bar). I tried many app on CHPlay but all of them for rooted device or older Android version.
Please help.

So, right now the situation is:
SHBreak didn't work
Bin4ry's root didn't work
No flashable custom recovery available
Can't extract stock recovery (to get started with CWM builder)
How are we supposed to get started? Probably by finding a proper exploit, but I can only wait for that
Bin4ry said that his root won't work (I checked out on the pre-FeelUX firmware as well) and I still haven't got an answer from the guy responsible for SHBreak. Maybe somebody who speaks Japanese could help in the communication process

i have samsung s4 gt-I9500 clone with MT6572 CPU ,its made by Korea and it is factory rooted .
after testing the phone for couple of days i can say it is very fast ,but i can't find out the exact Specifications of the Ram and internal memory ,in the phone shows it has 2GB ram and the internal 16 GB i tested with many Apps but each application show different result i will add some screenshots and please give your view about it and if any body has the same phone can share with us his ones.
The other question is, i want to change the ROM and add some MODs if possible?? and are there any custom ROMs i can flash? and which flashing tools i can use? and how to install CWM on it??
so modder ,developer please help!!!!

My phone is bricked, but research suggests that I might be able to build a new ROM based on the "system/" of a working device, using Android Kitchen. I'm told that entering the following code into the Terminal Emulator on a working device, creates a dump of the "system/" on the SD card, which can then be used to build the custom ROM in Android Kitchen:

If you give this a go, and succeed in Android Kitchen, I'd be really grateful if you could let me know, and perhaps share the ROM? At the moment finding a copy of the stock ROM looks to be my only solution at this point!

Ok, not to worry. Unfortunately I can't give you the link to the website. The original advert said that it had an 8MP camera, however it only has 4.9MP! I challenged the seller on this, and it looks as though they have stopped advertising the phone. I bought it through Amazon and the seller was 'Active Tek' based in China. I would avoid using this seller as they clearly missold the phone to me.

Hi, I have got exactly the same device as you have. I got the parcel yesterday; it had an app pre-installed called antutu, that antutu thingy says that the device has got arm v7 CPU named universal 5410, clocked at 1.7 gigs.
Ram of about 2 gigs and internal storage of 16 GB. However today I installed an app named CPU identifier that showed that its CPU was mt6572, mali400 GPU and to a heartbreaking surprise, only 512 mb of ram. Please tell me that this CPU identifier is crap and I have got a whole 2 gigs of ram. One more thing is that device is stunningly fast and efficient in handling big apps.
I also found some flaws; smart pause and smart scroll (eye sensor) only worked once or twice; GPS never worked; hand flip only works on one side. May be these issues can be resolved by installing a custom ROM.

I have a HDC Galaxy Note 3 Sunny II 2+16 octa core, and i stupidly used mtkdroid tools to flash a different boot.img and revovery .img file to it, thinking it would change the boot screen, i got the message that
- ERROR : --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page/Spare=2048/64 !!!
--- Unknown ROM structure, backup NOT possible!
--- ATTENTION! Recovery doesn't suit this phone!

It is stuck in a boot loop, and my pc doesnt recognise it anymore, mtkdroid tools half recognises it with a blue light and jibberish where the model and info should be
and now my phone will not boot, can anyone help please, i'm really stuck with this, i know very little about roms etc, if anyone has the correct boot.img and recovery.img file i would be very grateful

Thats what ive been doing and i cant find one flashable via sd card, they all need flashtools, that is why i posted on here to see if anyone could help me

I'm no expert in this area althought I've the HDC Galaxy Note 3 Sunny II 3+16. I think that NEEDROM have the stock rom that you need, even I think they can help you in this problem, I hope so!
I'm always afraid to do anything wrong with my phone like root it, that's why I didn't touch it so far because some tool are not 100% trusty and safe!

The rom run fines for me.
My only and BIG problem that I have is that it gives me low internal memory! It indicates 19GB but when you install 4 or 5 apps the memory is running out of space.
I contacted techsupport ofHDC and told me that a new rom is coming soon with the problem fixed.
Is someone else here encountered and solved this low internal-memory problem?
For me the same problem and the speakers....

Hello, it's my first post. I've bought the TCL s720 in aliexpress and I've seen that also it's the same that alcatel one touch flash, as serbent has said.
I don't have the mobile yet, but I'll have it in two weeks I hope. The TCL has android 4.2.2, and the alcatel has the 4.4 version, it's possible to put the rom of alcatel on the TCL?

I think that is the best mobile in quality / price ratio.
But I bought this mobile for the battery, 3330mah! Also the Cubot S200 has 3300mah, but I already have had an mt6582, and I want to try the octa-core
Other thing that I want to say it's if I can low the base frequencie of the processor, because I think that 728MHz are too much. I would like to low it to 500MHz or less if it's possible.

It has the same hardware less the camera (I think so) and the support of LTE.

I don't have still the mobile, I hope that it comes this week.

I have speaked with Alcatel and they have said to me that they are going to do all possible, but you also should call them and they will do before!

did you ever compare S720 vs P728m?
the only thing they have in common is SOC.
In other words, this rom is no good for s720.

Maybe you have to change some driver files.
In a few weeks I will have it and I could tried it.
