Hi,
I have a nexus 10, which is connected to the internet via Wifi. I want to share the internet connection of my Nexus 10 to other devices using Bluetooth, but I cannot find the settings for bluetooth tethering in the Nexus 10 settings. Am I blind? Where are tthese settings hidden? My Nexus 10 runs on Android 4.3 already.
The Bluetooth tethering is supposed to be used with 3G/4G and cellphone data, to use it you can't have your Wi-Fi on, so I believe it's really not possible.
If you have Wi-Fi on the nexus 10, why don't you get Wi-Fi on your other devices?

I can't seem to tether my internet connection to my xoom through bluetooth. It says, paired but not connected. And it won't connect. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?
I've never tried it through Bluetooth, but why don't you try WiFi Tether instead? It should perform better than BT.
Cheers!

If it doesn't work natively then search for an app from the market or online. If you get one online make sure you get an antivirus...

PDAnet http://junefabrics.com/android/
Read up on it, it supports usb teather to a computer, or bluetooth/wifi to a computer or another phone.
PRemoteDroid is an awesome app! It allows for wifi or bluetooth remote access to your synced computer. Check it out...I use it in my classroom all the time!

I have a Windows 7 pc with XBMC installed, and I want to use the android XBMC remote app to control it.
Now here is the problem, I do not have a router, instead I connect to the internet using my android phone (Samsung Galaxy S2) as a hotspot.
So now to my question.
Is it possible to somehow use the phone to control XBMC while at the same time using the same phone as a wifi hotspot.
I guess that would be the only solution to my problem, becouse without the phone acting as a hotspot, I have no internet connection to the PC what so ever?
Thanks in advance!

From the deafining silence I take it the only way to tether currently is via wifi?

I tether with Bluetooth from my Droid x and Droid 2. Use Open Garden Wifi Tethering from the market. Open it, menu, settings, check use Bluetooth pan tethering and start it. Pair phone with prime using Bluetooth and connect. This will work assuming your phone is rooted.
I just tried it, and it seems to work for me.
1) HTC Evo 4G, Sense 1.0-based ROM with PDANet 3.25
2) Transformer Prime with PDANet Tablet
Evo is connected to my home network via Wifi. Prime has Wifi disabled.
I got some Bluetooth error the first time I tried enabling Bluetooth DUN in PDANet on the phone, but it worked the second time. PDANet Tablet saw it almost immediately and was able to connect just fine. I think we have a winner here.
BT tether using PDANet Tablet (new) did not initially work with a Droid2. After the recent update for the Transformer Prime it is now working!

Hey,
is there any nice app that uses WiFi direct for tethering internet from my Galaxy Nexus to my Nexus 7?
Most of apps in the Play Store only use WiFi Hotspots or Bluetooth, but the best solution for direct tethering between to device is WiFi direct. (low battery usage, faster than bluetooth)
Hi.
I have internet on mobile. I'm tethering internet through bluetooth on my nexus 7 (in my car. Timur's firmware based on 4.3).
Everything ok except automatic resolution of using internet. So my tablet connect to my phone but I should accept to use internet through this (mobile) device by click in settings of bluetooth device.
How I can make default automatically accept to use internet through this (mobile) device? Each time when it is connected I should accept to use.
