Hi,
I've recently setup ShareKM with my HTC One (Stock 4.1.2) and have enjoyed using it at work to quickly respond to messages or using other apps almost like a third monitor. With the HTC One I simply open the ShareKM app in Windows 7 then plug in the phone and it recognizes the device and I am good to go.
I also have a Nexus 7 (2012) running Stock 4.3. When I connect this device it either does not recognize it at all or says that it is connected but offline. I have reinstalled the ShareKM software on the computer and the device, updated the Google USB Drivers using the standalone drivers and the SDK, and have been through multiple reboots. The one trick I have found is that if I have the Nexus Root Toolkit application open, then ShareKM recognizes the Nexus 7 and connects.
My nexus 7 is unlocked and rooted, the HTC One is not. I am only attempting the USB connection for both.
Any idea on what I am missing?
Thanks for any help.
Or if there is another/better app out there to control your device with your computers mouse and keyboard a la Synergy, let me know!
So I downloaded the SDK from Google, opened the manager and chose to install everything from 4.3 and Extras. It is now working as expected save for the cursor being "invisible." I don't know which package actually corrected it, but hopefully this helps someone in the future.

Can you please explain the steps in further details? I have Nexus 5 and ShareKM doesn't work anymore. I would love to get it back.. I loved that app.

Has anyone found a way to get Sirius/XM working on an Android Tablet? I have an Archos 70 and I downloaded the Sirius/XM app from their website and it does not work on the tablet. It just signs in forever until you cancel it or the device goes to sleep. I tried the app from the Canadian site too because I read it was a differnt version but it does the same thing.
Not sure why it would work on a droid phone but not a droid tablet running the same OS but I was hoping someone figured out an alternate way to do this or a fixed app for the tablet. This is about the only thing I haven't been able to do with this tablet. Any info is appreciated.
Same issue
I have been wondering the same thing..the app looks great, I don't see why it won't work, no error or anything just never comes up and takes you back to the login screen. The only thing I could come up with is the screen size, during the login its also supposed to be downloading the channel art, etc, maybe its an incompatibility with the screen layout but it seems like it would be a good place for an error message of some kind.
I hate to say it, but I believe this is a measure that Sirius implemented to make sure that this app is only being used by "authorized" devices. The "checking for updates" screen that I and everyone else seems to be getting stuck on is likely their way of making this app a "protected app."
I just hope that there are enough fans of both Sirius and the Android tablets that someone will make a hack or a work-around to get this app working. It works great on my Incredible, but I would LOVE to have it working on my A70.
Just installed the Sirius XM app on my Vizio Tablet with the same results.
What is crazy is that : siriusxm.com / player loads fine with Flash.
But there's no way for me to enter my login and password into the Flash text boxes. They don't seems to be recognized by Android OS as text entry areas.
I'm running 10.3 of the Adobe Flash plugin on my Vizio Tablet.
I realize this is an old thread but I figured a way to make it work. I simply installled the app on my rooted phone. Then I copied the com.siriusxm.apk to a sd card. Put the sd card in my tablet and copied it to the local folder. Tapped on it to install it and shazam.
Screencap of it working?

Okay, so first I have to have a rooted phone? I have a G1 I am not using, could I use that?
Where do I find the com.siriusxm.apk? I have Linda Manager on the G1, do I find it in the application's folder?
Just tap to install the mentioned file and it should install? Then fire up the Sirius/XM app, log-in and it will work?
Thanks, I'm in the market for a Archos 43 now that the price has dropped. This "trick" might work on the Samsung Galaxy Players that just came out as well.
Im wondering if you put the opened version you took off your rooted phone here would we be able to use it?
would be a great help. My problem is that my account is in the states but im living in canada.
Have you tried the newer SIRIUSXM 2.0 app. They use it with their new LYNX radio which is android based.
no I haven't. They won't even let me download it here in Canada even tho my account is based in the states.

FINALLY !!!!!!
I finally have a working copy of this app on my Xoom. It is in the play store under SiriusXM Internet Radio. It says May 3rd, 2012, version 2.0.0.62. I upgraded from an older non working version today just for the hell of it and to my surprise it logged in and I was listening for a good hour or 2 without interruption. My Xoom will definitely get more use now.
I've been trying to upgrade my 16GB NT to CM9 with limited success. Somehow the nightly builds just kept boot looping on the NT. I have gotten a solid release of my HP Touchpad. I got hold of the alpha CM9 0.05.1 version and finally got a good install which booted completely and worked OK except for the video acceleration causing Netflix and YouTube to give blank screens.
So I tried to go back to old root which had both B&N and ADW launched. I tried several methods which looked successful while I was using the CMW zip installs but they all resulted in a reboot into CM9 alpha. I have found a method to get me back to B&N/ADW (Veronica's Ribbon Root download link HERE) but I also stumbled on an SD card version of CM7 alpha final image from TEAM-B which worked great!
Well, I wanted an internal install version so I wouldn't be tied to the SD card boot and found TEAM-B's BETA version dated 20120713 for the CM (aka acclaim). I been working on it for several hours and many apps. This beast is really good. See the thred here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481826.
Thanks TEAM-B for a really solid platform.
Testing update
Everything works as expected.
Netflix and YouTube work.
Email works.
The browser works really great. Much better than it did under ADW.
The Play Store is great as always.
The default music player works well. I also have tried Real Player Beta which also works well. My only complaint is fixing 'unknown artist' where I can't find a way to edit the artist name.
For your own downloaded videos, the default video player is great. I've also tried MxPlayer which also works well.
A really neat feature is the USB drive setting. If you have the device connected to your PC via USB, it doesn't automatically lock your device out. You need to select the up arrow in the circle on the status items (4th from the left), then select 'USB connected', and hit the 'Turn on USB storage' to get the drives visible to your PC (I'm running Windows 7 64 bit).
My VOIP app does not work since it has a problem getting the microphone active. The puzzling thing to me is that the Sound Recorder works. So it's not really the microphone per se.
Under the > Settings > Location & security settings > Change screen lock, you can set a lock code similar to the 4 digit code under B&N. You can also do an alpha numeric password instead of a simple 4 digit number if you'd like. However since you may need to enter it often whenever the timeout hits, I'd suggest keeping it simple.
I've not been able to break it yet.
It is rock solid. Anyone game for the challenge of finding a bug?

The only issue that I still see on occasion is the wifi will dropout then come right back after a few seconds. I have seen this on multiple networks and multiple streaming apps. hbogo, netflix, ustream. Does anyone else see this. Maybe everything didn't clear when I installed new rom?

I always have to connect wifi manually after reboot (SD version) - anyone else get it to come on automatically?
But yes, ITA it's been very stable overall and a great job from Team B, especially with fixing hardware acceleration. Thanks again!

I have to turn my wifi on manually each time, too. I'm running the internal version on my NT16.
But seriously stable. Probably the best overall ROM I've used on any device in the past two years. Kudos, Team-B!

I do not have the knowledge of the android developers, but my understanding is that @ShinnAsuka is correct. Sorry to say the 'version' of the chip inside does not contain the needed circuits. That is what I read.
So I am using HTC sync manager for OSX version 2.0.56 which as of right now is the latest version. It seems that the itunes support portion of the software has been removed. I am posting to find out if any other OSX users out there can confirm that they have this problem as well.
I am trying to determine if the problem is htc sync manager or if the problem is with my phone. I am running Elegancia 4.8.0 for the ATT HOX+
I'd rather not go back to stock and find out if it's a phone problem or an HTC problem.
On another note, even when it does work HTC Sync is an abortion of a program. It's slow as all hell, crashes, and is generally just complete garbage. Does any one have any suggestions for syncing music and playlist to their phone and NOT using doubletwist air sync. air sync is another waste of time. The wifi syncing is totally stupid and takes hours upon hours. My phone generally cannot complete the sync session as the phone runs out of battery while syncing, even when plugged into the charger!
This is a huge problem for me, and is making me consider going back to the iPhone. Why is it nobody can get syncing music right except apple? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
http://www.android.com/filetransfer/
Android file transfer, as far as I know the program comes directly from Google and it let's you view your phone as a disk drive when using a mac. The only problem I've run into is that if the screen turns off the program "ejects" your phone as you would a thumb drive. I have about 12GB of music and this is what I use to transfer everything to my phone. Just be sure to put all your music in a folder titled music and you shouldn't have any problems.

Thanks, the only problem I have with using android file transfer is that it lacks the true features of syncing. I have always thought the android method of just drop some files in and hope for the best is not really a solution. Without a way to sync, I can't get my playlist on there or remove files quickly when I want them gone. This is one area where the iphone has android beat. As you can see by the lack of responses there is just nothing else out there that works as well.
Thanks anyway.
On my previous phone I used "iSyncer for iTunes-Mac" you can do the exact same thing as you would in iTunes it just goes much quicker. I haven't used it for this phone yet because I just haven't had a need. Just plug the phone into the computer, it will then ask you to download a small application on your computer that can access iTunes and you should be good to go from there. I know you mentioned that you didn't like double twist, I was never able to get that program to work right as far as album art, keeping the same albums and the same artist together but I have had great success with isyncer.

I tired isyncr but it did not see my device. part of the problem is the connects vis mda and does not mount the drive with traditional methods. this problem is driving me nuts. I considered going back to the iPhone but after using the big screens the iPhone seems like a toy your get in a cereal box and not a serious device. maybe I should just get an ipad.

New member here. Franky, I know nothing about this stuff.
I have 2) 1st gen Kindlesserial D025 that I have rooted and converted to CM11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-tate. They work well except for 2 things.
Primary problem is that they don't recognize anything plugged into the OTG cable. On my wife's 4th gen machine (completely stock), I can plug in a memory stick and view videos. I can plug in a wireless mouse and it recognizes it fine. When I plug an OTG/memory stick into my 1st gen, I get nothing, no sound, it just sits there like nothing happened. Can somebody tell me what I did wrong?
Sencondary problem is that when I plug the device into my Windows XP SP3 machine, it doesn't see it. It gives me a sound notification that something plugged in, but it is not visible in the file manager. I have installed every driver I can find (adb, modified .inf, kindle, MTP, WMP11, etc.) and nothing works. This is a secondary problem that I have worked around with a WIFI transfer program.
However, I really want the OTG to work. I have spent months searching and reading and as noted above, I really don't know enough to find my way out of this problem.
I would appreciate any help you can give me, and if this is posted in the wrong place, please let me know and I'll move it.
Thanks in advance.

How much is a size of that device which you want to plug in.
For problem with XP try to reinstall drivers or try to use older version of that drivers.
XP is too old, mine suggestion is to use Windows 7 Home premium if you have older machine.
Feel free to ask more if you have questions

Thanks for the response. Not getting connected to the PC is inconvenient, but I manage with ES File Remote Manager through WIFI.
The big issue is not being able to use a memory stick through the OTG cable. Here's a link to a guy who has done it.:
wwwDOTyoutubeDOTcom/watch?v=BFEMh0ZYT5M <---(won't let a new guy post a link)
I've tried to contact him, but it looks like he hasn't been on that site in 3 years. Anybody know him? Better yet, does anyone know where to get the Hashcode Kernel? And how do you load it? Again, I'm new to this stuff, but I can follow instructions.
I've tried all the mount apps like stickmount, etc. Nothing works.
I also tried a factory reset to the Kindle OS and it doesn't find the memory stick. Is OTG just not possible on this device?

Been wanting to transfer text from phone to pc lately. Been doing some research on this today. There's a link phone in windows settings, but apparently it requires you to install Microsoft Launcher on your Android phone, which I tried already, but to be frank that program is aids. It acts as a home screen launcher and locks up my S9, most likely riddled with bugs. There used to be a chrome extension called message beam that worked okay, but it hasn't worked in ages now. Just wondering if anyone tried using NFC (i.e. Android Beam)? I really don't want to email/text stuff back and forth, so cumbersome.
