Hello,
The roms based on 4.2.2 are realy on 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 with some modifications?
..? These roms are based on 4.2.2, otherwise it would be 4.1.2. But they're not based on Samsung firmware, but on the AOSP.
Ok thanks got it

Flash with Odin or cwm whatever stock or custom Rom you want
s it possible to flash 4.2.2 specifically the native messaging app on a 4.1.2 ROM rooted custom ROM of course?

There are no samsung based custom kernels above 4.1.2 because source code hasn't been released above 4.1.2 (nor has a rom been)

Just to clarify my own assumption.
Is there anyone who once used a 4.1.2 stock i9100 with the disability to mount /sdcard in recovery, able to flash a 4.2.2 or higher custom ROM?
Because I am using a 4.1.2 stock ROM, rooted but can only flash other 4.1.2 custom ROMs. No idea why 4.2.2 and 4.3.0 ROMs won't boot
