Due to my dissapointment with the se 2.1 update and the poor audio performance I am now looking at rooting and installing aosp 2.2 when it reaches beta stage. I was just wondering though will this os include 720p video recording?

This mod enables you to shoot 720p @ 10mbps. Nothing higher than media_profiles.xml allows to prevent bloated size and choppy performance. Compatible with any ics beta based Rom on arc and neo too.
Added fw 562 version (Both Leaked and Nordic)
Updated with 2 choices now for ICS, either you go to
[email protected] + 6Mbps 480p+5MP or
[email protected] + 4Mbps 480p+5MP. Choice is yours!

I think it only happens to you. I and my friend install this mod, and it's all right.
May be reinstall will fix it.
Awesome just awesome share buddy.
I have the bitrate modded to 14Mbit/s (the maximum, above it crashes immediatley!) and I don't have dropped frames or anything. See my tutorial here if you want to try it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...1569309&page=7
Mod updated, added version 562 one and 14Mbps for those video junkies

Not yet. Because i thought, the 10Mbps is not that different from 6Mbps so i'll go straight through to 14Mbps. But if in demand, i'll upload one.
I just thought it would be good to use, considering I don't overclock my Arc, so 14mbps might not be too great at 1ghz.

woohooooooooooooooooooooooo
my arc s is usable again, yay. thanks. the 14mbps for video is so unexplainably awesome. i bought this mainly cuz of its sensor, now with the 14mbps mod the camera is finally usable.
thanks
UPDATE: the WVGA 864x480 is encoding at 4mbps. that should probably be raised too. also, how about the 720p @ 12mbps so the cpu can handle it without overclocking and without having to switch to the smartassv2 governor (i am using ondemand) for battery purposes. night kernel for arc doesnt have bfq either, which is supposed to be super good for video recording.
Mod updated with 5MP option enabled for 8MP shooter
I wonder if someone can port ICS camera with "tap object to focus" feature to GB?
the strongest fastest of all. Galaxy s III, can it record 60fps ??
i just need to know: is there a way to get more than 30fps on an android phone (like an app or a tweak) ???
long time ago i remember i had omnia HD and i could record (Slow motion)
but now it must be as easy as it can be to do so by a powerful phone like this.
29fps in 1080p

thank 4 share.
dont worry about that man,
you always have the option to try other custom roms if that issue is bothering you.
just try this Android 2.3.7 base on AOSP v.2.0 with 2.6.35.10 kernel by miroslav_mm
and im sure, it would solve your problem
Oops, just bumped this but I just want to share anyway.
PolshVodka created a CM10 (Android 4.1.2) rom which works with YouTube HQ too well.

Hey guys, I'm looking for suggestions for a stable ROM with a good battery life. I'm not too interested in tweaks since it will mainly be for watching videos.
If you also don't need much features go for Omni 4.3.

Hi, Omnirom(15-Feb-2014) from kasper_h is playing youtube fine.I`ve look transformer transformation without too many lag. Was watchable.
good luck
If you don't mind a little beta head over here...

Also by kasper_h. It plays h264 content in SD ablolutely flawless and even 720p is smooth most of the time, both using MX player.
Galaxy task 14 slim.
Believe me, you could play YouTube HD video without a single lag just by using a honeycomb, neither ICS nor kitkat can play HD video smoothly.
