I didn't get you. you meant the sock kernel?
Yes no options for other kernels. Stock only on 4.3 atm. Give it time and you will have a choice.

Thanks for the quick reply.!
Heard this from another thread, to install Paranoid, you don't need to root. Is it true.!?

As for now after flashing the ROM don't change it. Just use what is bundled along

Root is already done on custom roms. 4.3 has developers options and root in there. If you dont see dev options tap build about 5 times and it will come up in menu.
Edit: do you mean your on stock rom and no root? If so yes you need to root first. Sorry haven't read posts to well today.
What firmware do you have? Gb/ics/jb?

I had rooted an HTC Desire, for Cyanogen. First with Samsung and Paranoid. Btwn I have i9100 model.
So pick say lss philz zip and flash that in recovery. Make sure you put it on ext sd and go to recovery and then update. Reboot and root with cwm recovery is done. Then follow op in pa for how to install pa rom.
Im on biftor v11 with apollo kernel.

Check the picture on the first post and tell me which one to pick
Don't flash cf-root, flash any other (ex. Siyah), if you can't found kernel for your version of ROM.

If you want to install a custom rom, the easiest way would be to first install Siyah kernel. It was already said above!

With this method can i then backup my stock Rom and then flash a custom Rom.
And then if i want to go back to stock Rom i would restore backup and use unroot method.
For stock firmware, go to sammobile.com. Register and then get the firmware for your country

I would suggest siyah or dorimanx kernels.
And what is your reason for wanting the stock kernel?

Go into Settings->About Phone and make a screenshot or type exactly what is written there.Include everything.
Why people try to install temporary CWM (the majority don't even realise it's going to be temporary) & don't simply flash a custom kernel which takes 5 minutes & works every time is beyond me.
this...
hope you can help me
Philz kernel. Look it up,read about it, understand what you're about to do and when you do flash away.

Do follow the jb root and not ics.

Alternatively. if you have root access, then you can download the ROM Manager app from play store. When you install the ROM Manager, it asks you if you want to flash CWM or no. If you say yes, then it automatically downloads the latest CWM and installs it on your phone.
Hit thanks if i helped!

thanku sooo much guys for helping
Absolutely do not use Rom Manager. You will end up with broken recovery & bootloop, and given how few people on here seem to backup stuff regularly, you will lose data when this happens & you need to go back to stock to fix it.

Just as the title states, can we flash MIUI using CWM? Or do we really have to follow their guide ( Which uses a weird one)?

Are we allowed to give links?
Here it is:
Guide in flashing: http://en.miui.com/a-203.html
Rom: http://en.miui.com/download-17.html
I haven't tried it yet, maybe it's something like odin I guess.

I see! okay! thanks again, ima try it my self then. My search for a better rom is still not finish, I have tried CM11, Slim and RR, im looking for a rom that actually beats the stock rom[rooted not tweaked not changed kernel](which i had backed up so i could return to it anytime) in terms of battery.
