Tablet S boot loop? - Sony Tablet S

So yeah, one night my Sony Tablet S shut down in sleep mode like it does occasionally. Next morning when I tried turning it on, it stayed on the booting animation for several minutes. Did several hard resets and tried again to no avail. Even tried letting it run out of battery, charging, and then booting but no dice. I've never rooted or modified my tablet. Any help? Or do I need to get a new one? I've had this tablet for almost 2 years now and it's served me well, no problems like this before.
Thanks!

Did you make all system updates? What was your release number?

I was on the latest release for the original Tablet S. 4.0.3 release 5a, was it?
Is there anyway to factory reset this damn thing from the "outside" using adb or something?

Did you try to flash the original sony Firmware in recovery Mode?

Try going into recovery mode. When tablet is powered off, hit power button and volume up button together and hold volume up button for a while. When android recovery menu comes up, make a factory reset from there.

Thanks guys! Going into recovery mode and factory resetting worked!

Boot into recovery/bootloader

Hi.
I was wondering if there is a way to boot into recovery, or get into the recovery when the phone is off. I've done a lot of searching, but the ways described will not work (power on with left and right key under the display pressed down)
Does anyone have any solid knowledge on this? It would be much appreciated.

U have to turn on phone and (if u have doomkernel) keep pressing back when blue led appears. If not just keep pressing back when u turn on till it appears (it's not back and menu at same time it either or and menu won't do anything unless u have doomkernel

I could be wrong but as I understand it you must have power from the device in order to access recovery as recovery is either in kernel (ubl) or on nand,, both can only be supplied power from the handset, you cannot use them like an external drive.

Laneyofdeath: thank you, it worked. Strange that this information is so hard to find. Anyways, i appreciate it
And for the other reply, i know i need power, but i wanted to boot into recovery from off status. Perhaps i did not explain myself good enough.

Not sure what u mean pal. Do u mean boot to recovery whilst device is switched off?
Sent from my X10 using XDA
There are just no button combinations for recovery for the X10.
The only way to get into recovery is to spam the back(xrec)/volume down(cwm) when the kernel boot screen lights up.
What i meant was to get into recovery from when the device is off. And power + hit backbutten when le wild blue light appears worked ;-) thank you guys for your help

solution for Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10i with Recovery menu
turn off the phone then turn it on and keep toggling between the up and the down volume button
works for x10i

[Q] My phone is randomly restarting?

Hello, I was browsing with Google Chrome on the SGS3 when all of a sudden it reset(which is not uncommon...seems to be a Chrome thing), and when the lockscreen came back up the LED flashed blue, and the screen went blank. 5ish seconds later, the lockscreen reappears, I have no service (literally the circle with a line through it) and after a few seconds I get the blue LED flash and the cycle repeats. For almost 10 minutes straight now. I have not tried to get into recovery mode, but I have removed/reinstalled the battery.
Any ideas or suggestions?
The only thing I can think of is that it was in a backpack on a hiking trip today and got very hot. It wasn't in use during that time though, and I hadn't seen any errors with it for at least 6 hours afterward until this happened.
More info, I have stock everything. Touchwiz launcher, etc...

...just did. Sadly, I did not have a way to backup anything because it was in the reset loop (or whatever you'd call that)
What could have caused it? Is it an issue with the stock ROM? I have custom ROMs on all my other phones, I was waiting until the SGS3 development matured a bit before I dove in, but now I'm not so sure that waiting is a good idea...
Maybe caused by apps that you installed.

Its called the "deep sleep" or "death screen" I get it sometimes, I just hold the power button for 10 seconds and it resets the device (not factory reset, just reboot, if you like)

Well you may also try wiping caches and fixing permissions.. it might help i think

if Reboot doesn't work
Just restore to a Stock Samsung Firmware and don't forget to reset your device. (you could backup via your computer)

Issue with screen (scrambled white screen)

Hey guys,
I have a problem with the screen of my Galaxy S3, I locked the phone and 2 minutes later when I pressed the power button to get to the unlock screen, it turned white (see the picture I attached). The phone didn't fell or hit something, nor enter in contact with a liquid, I mean for no reason I got the scrambled white screen. I took out the battery and reboot but once the phone boots there's the white screen.
If anybody as encoutered the same issue and found a solution please let me know.
Thanks
Can you still enter download mode or recovery mode?

Play Store error

My fiance can't access the play store on her P769. I forget what the error is, but she used to be able to access it. Her date and time is correct. It's rooted, but with the stock rom and kernel (I think the software version is P76920H).
Any ideas? Thanks!

Try to erase play store cache in settings. If it wouldn't help try to delete google account, and login again.

Rooted?
Go to Root Browser and navigate to System -> Etc, and find the "hosts" file. Delete it and reboot. That should fix it. You're welcome.

I haven't spent any time with her phone over the past month, but I'm working on it today. Since I first wrote, it lost it's ability to access data over the cell network, and won't connect to many wifi networks, either. I cleared data for Play Store and Play Services. I get a notification that it needs to update Play Services, but when I click on that, it goes to Play Store and says "No connection - Retry".
I want to wipe the phone and start new with a fresh ROM, but I can't remember how to reboot to Recovery. Holding volume-down while it powers up doesn't get me into Recovery. I'm not having much luck with Google on that, either.

Might have to do a factory reset and reroot it. I forgot the method on doing a factory reset. Something about holding a lot of buttons down.. check around, someone will tell you.

Just in case you haven't got it figured out yet. Power off phone. Turn back on and wait for the Lg logo to come on and when the bottom back lights start blinking hold the - volume button and it will go to recovery

Thanks! I didn't figure that out, but I managed to fix her phone (including wi-fi/data and Play Store) by re-flashing the stock ROM with the LGST tool. I remembered holding volume-down when powering up the phone from my HTC phones, but I guess you hold volume-down at a different point in the boot process with LG phones.
