Download Cydia Impactor for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux (32-bit), or Linux (64-bit)!
The program only installs su in system xbin, then manually we need to install superuser apk and busybox

Hi,
Does anybody already successfully rooted ZTE KIS PRO?
I've tried z4root, bin4ry, shortfuse, adb pull, chainDD method, framaroot, motochopper, universalandroot, oneclickroot, abuse...
Nothing work's for me... :crying:
ZTE KIS PRO AKA OPTIMOS Zali/Orange Zali
Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Kernel 3.4.0
Internal memory :4 GB Free:2 GB
RAM memory :512 MB :silly:
Processor 1,00 GHz Qualcomm MSM7225A
TFT 256k colors 320 x 480 px (3.50")
Camera 3.0 MP
Can't stay stuck in bootloader to use fastboot only FTM mode...
ADB and ADB SHELL working but can't use ADB root...
This is the PT oficial rom, is there a way to rooted before instal it?
http://www.ztedevices.com/support/s...aed-4eba-b717-82c7048ea7a0.html?type=software
can we edit the rom, adding su binaries and busybox to system/xbin, and superuser apk to system/app...
then edit updater script adding:
run_program("/system/xbin/busybox", "--install", "-s", "/system/xbin");
set_perm(0, 0, 06755, "/system/xbin/su");
set_perm(0, 0, 0644, "/system/app/superuser.apk");
set_perm(0, 0, 04755, "/system/xbin/busybox");
symlink("/system/xbin/su", "/system/bin/su");
then flash via stock recovery?
The above is not working, sais instalation aborted, by adb the system is read only and it works with ext4...
Any ideas? or news about rooting methods i can try?
Recovery mode
Volume up + Power
FTM
Volume down + Power
DFU (diagnostics interface)
Volume up + Volume down + Power
no luck too
I have tried all of these things and non of them works. The only success was to unlock it from mobile operator (in service center with help of SigmaKey (only with Sigma dongle)). Any suggestions for how it could be rooted?

I've tried many things, my idea is that we have to force the software to upgrade, but i've downloaded the soft from zte, pre-rooted the rom but the stock recovery doesent install it, maybe if we have cwm... Dont know if the bootloader is locked... And for one click solutions we need unsecure adbd...
Tested the phone to vulnerabilities, no luck...
http://rootandroid.com can't root this, even paying no root for us...

Yes, the bootloader is locked. I've tried to install CWM but with no success. I think that Sigma is the only solution in this case, but I'll keep trying. Just for now none of known issues worked for me.

Did you build CWM? Or use from another device?
Have you ever worked with a gold card? Don't know if it will work in this case, but it's a try... I don't really know how to build one but will search...
Its the first phone i know from zte that has locked bootloader, is there another? I'll try to contact zte to know more about it...
How do you use sigma to root?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1248095 - goldcard creator...
I’ve tried manual temp root, i get a message saying "adbd cannot run as root in production builds"
Jan Shvets can you unlock bootloader with sigma?

Strange, i've tried framaroot and in mine have not worked, what his your OS version?
Mine is 4.1.1 with the 3.4.0 kernel...
Maybe they patched the bug that made cydia work...
One more thing, maybe cydia have rooted your device did you instaled su from the playstore after?, framaroot install su.apk and cydia needed that instaled manualy, if you try framaroot after cydia of course it will work, the device was already rooted but you not notice that because of the missing su.apk... Just my 2 cents...
This phone as equal specs of the blade3, the only thing difrent i notice is the sceen, maybe cwm from blade3 work in our phone?
This could break the phone and then we have to reinstall recovery via terminal emulator with the command dd from within the phone (not tested because i am again without a proper pc)...

Yes! After installing manually 'su' it did not work. I tried this with both Cydia - 9.12 and 9.13.
... the same OS 4.1.1 with the 4.3.0 kernel.

Now I've installed abd drivers, but.. look this image :/

Now I've deleted the previus driver, I've rebooted the system, I've installed the official Asus drivers and I've rebooted the system.. Now, "Run" stops at "Pushing exploit"..
I've reboot the tablet. I've now SuperSU, but "Eseguire SU non presente, e SuperSU non può installarlo, questo è un problema"
Translate found on internet.. "There is no SU binary installed and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
I've tried again with motochopper's "run", but stops always at "Pushing exploit"..

I would ROOT and change ROM. Do I need the recovery?
If yes, how can I install recovery?
Then, how can I obtain root permits?
Please explain step by step. I do not speak English very well.
I'm pretty inexperienced with Transformer Prime.
I just tinkered with my HTC Wildfire S.
I tried to install touch recovery on my Asus Trasformers Prime TF201, with Android 4.1.1
with this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=-pW05Jf87dg
But I have this error on prompt:
sending 'recovery'
Okay
'writing 'recovery'
Failed (remote : (invalid state))
finished
Why? I have to do "wipe data"?

Forget this. You cannot install a custom recovery without unlocking. But you can obtain root without doing that.
From the screenshot you posted in your OP, it seems the drivers were working. You successfully copied to the phone the files needed to root but the batch file hangs at the point where it should install Superuser.apk.
First check which version of Android you are on. The motochopper root exploit only works on Jelly Bean.
If you are definitely on 4.1.1, try downloading the motochopper package again from THIS THREAD.
If you get stuck again, try asking there. It is in the TF300 section but the method is the same.
And slow down. Read more first.

How I can unlock my tablet?
Solved!

Yes I've tried the unlock tool. doesn't work for me.. I'm running 4.1.1. I don't understand what is causing it not to work. Probably hardware issue. I've read that if there is a conflict with the MAC address and the device serial number in the Asus data base the unlock code won't be sent.
I bought it used so I don't know the history. I was hoping that someone found a way around the unlock tool. Thanks

Unable to Root or Access RCK/Recovery
Model: TF201
Android: 4.1.1
Build# 10.4.2.18
The unlock device steps finished successfully, but how can I confirm I am unlocked?
Also, when i tried Motochopper and Framaroot and they don't find the exploit....?
Lastly, after successfully completing the TWRP recovery steps; it hangs after booting and selecting RCK with volume up....?
My objective is to get CyanogenMod ROM on this thing!
Any direction/help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks in advance,

Recently I got my hands on this Android device but for some reason I can't root it using any of the currently available methods. I've enabled USB debugging, enabled installation of APKs from unknown sources, and tried many tools such as Framaroot, Shuame, RootGenius, vRoot, MTK Tools, even the latest update of Towelroot. I've even tried manually rooting using the psneuter method, but none of them worked, either the tool would say that the exploit was not effective on my device, or the procedure would progress as usual but after the final reboot, my device still doesn't have root permissions (checked via Root Checker app). Does anyone know why this happens or any method to gain root privileges on my device? Here are some of its specs:
CPU: MTK6592 Octa core @ 1.7 GHz
Android: 4.4.2 KitKat
Baseband: MOLY.WR8.W1315.MD.WG.MP.V34 (2014/05/06)
Kernel: 3.4.67 [email protected] #3 (2014/05/28)
Build Number: KOT49H.G9006VSKSU1ANCE
Custom Built Version: 1401178095
(Please see attachment for more details via MTK Droid Tool)
The device is a Chinese clone device so some model numbers may be spoofed but I can confirm at least that it is running the real 4.4.2 KitKat. I'm not too experienced with Android though, so sorry if I've missed anything important.
Try
Please try the VRoot

I consulted XDA user S7yler and he sent me this tutorial:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38337401
I followed it and managed to gain root privileges on the device. (The tutorial forgot to mention that you need MTK drivers installed beforehand)
The specific device model is MAC A215, and the tutorial guides you through reading back the ROM image, patching the boot and recovery images, flashing them back onto your device, and then installing superuser binaries.
He also has a detailed post about the HDC MTK6592 family of Galaxy S5 clone devices here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761971
Although a pre-rooted ROM is provided there, I strongly suggest making your own patched ROM using images extracted from your device as I have noticed that even though our device hardwares are the same, they may be running different ROMs so any provided pre-patched images may not be fully compatible.
Be sure to thank him if this works for you.

Download drivers for mtk preloader (you can find it on the forum).
Link your phone with usb cable without battery and open the latest FlashTools.
Download this rom:
needrom . com/mobile/rooted-s5-hdc-from-ibaby888-mtk6592/
Open it with FlashTools (and with the phone linked via usb without battery) click on download button and put the battery in your phone.
Wait for driver installation and wait for flashing.
Remove usb cable, the battery and after 5/10 secs reput battery in.
Power On and wait for the first startup (a few of mins).
Flash SuperSu Zip installer from recovery (you can find it on the forum).
Install a root explorer.
Delete nvram folder in /data and wait about 30 seconds. Reboot and rewrite imei with mtkdroid tools (If you don't have one steel it from and old phone and after destroy it because if your carrier find two identical imei on the network put they in blacklist).
Reboot and check the network and the right imei change with *#06#
Same problem with my G9006V phone. None of the tools posted above are working.
I don't need so badly to root my device, since we have no CM 11.0 ROMs for our device (I had CM ROMs on all my old phones and I actually love it).
The only fact that is annoying me is that I cannot edit the build.prop file, in order to get rid of that stupid 320 dpi. I need 240 dpi on my device. VRoot says that my phone is rooted but I cannot access any files and Root Checker is actually telling me that my phone isn't rooted lol. Root Explorer and File Explorer are telling me that my device isn't rooted so I cannot browse system files.
Anyway, I'll wait for an "one click root" app for this model too ... I'm sure that sooner or later this year we'll have a proper ROM too.
If you find anything new, please let us all know. I already subscribed to this topic.
Best wishes to you all and thank you in advance !

I couldn't unroot my motorola mb526 with android 2.3.6 too. I struggled 3 evenings till late in the night to try different unroot software, and guess what! I tried FRAMA root and that was working!!! I downloaded the APK file somewhere with the laptop and then I put it on the sd card and then installed it on my phone. With rootchecker I checked if it was unrooted or not and i simply couldn't believe my eyes, UNROOTED with such a simple app within a few seconds! Upgrade was going smooth and now I have Jelly Bean on my phone ( Wanted actually Kitkat but the installation was aborted the whole time)

Same here, been trying to root my Cherry Mobile Pulse KitKat MT6592 4.4.2 since i bought it 1 month ago. Tried towelrootv1,root genius, framaroot, Vroot, SRS, Zroot, Kingo, mtkdroid tools but none of them worked. Developers, please help.
I am going to try the rom posted in the post the ibaby one.. i have the g9006v hdc.. any tips?
Im finally going to have rooted rom. Ive tried endlessly to get the imei from my other phone onto this one so itll register on at&t and now itll be possible after i delete the nvram and use mtk droid tools to enter it it been a nightmare but you get what you pay for I guess lol
Ok got the rom installed(s5 rom ibaby888) on my hdc g9006v. It is rooted and I deleted the fefault apns and entered the straight talk one put my sim in and wont register on att network. I even tried to make the imei the one from my existing phone and still no luck. Everything else works flawless Im sure I am just missing something. I deleted the nvram folder with root explorer also and redid imei. What else can I try to get it to register on network? Any way to manually add fields to the apn? Its checkboxes instead of writig apn type.. i juat check dwfault, mms, and suppl.... any ideas?
Hi guys. I have bought Xperia Z Ultra C6833 a few days ago. and I have updated my phone to the latest version which is 14.6.A.1.236 via online update in settings and my bootloader is locked.
I have some question about rooting my device:
A) I have searched many topics about rooting this build number and i have found 2 out of which:
1) the first one is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/development/ub-14-6-1-236-stock-ftf-root-t3270850 and my question is can I use your method in my phone? I mean should I unlock my bootloader or not? Does it create problem that I updated my phone via online update and without Flashtools?
2) another one is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904 and my question is= is it safe I mean my phone will not be hurt? I mean first I download stock firmware ftf file and put it in the software and add SuperSU zip file and blend them or mix them together and finally flash the result with flashtools. can I use this method for rooting my device?
help me pleaseeee:angel::angel: tell me which one is better or which method is better. please please please:angel::angel:
1) if you want unlock bl should be work 2) in this method prfcreator output zip file you should flash with CWM or TWRP recovery so you need unlock bl or root phone.
if you want only root phone without unlock bl try kingroot app then replace supersu (with this tutorial) you can also flash zip file created with prfcreator after root and install XZDualRecovery.
English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes

Weird, it worked on my zu same build number, you can try iroot or kingoroot different from kingroot, otherwise you should unlock bl, no other idea, maybe you'll find someone else to help you or search for other method.

hi
u just need to install IRoot on your pc and then run it to root your z u.....,after rebooting it says ' Root Successful '
but u dont have the root access yet................................,
u can find an App called kingroot ((u cant unistall it - like system apps )) open it and it will scan your device for root access.......then use it to root it
for the guys from in iran U have to use VPN to compele the process
Hi guys,
the kingroot app does work for me. But only in part. What I mean is yes it gives root access but for other apps like adaway it' doesn't. And the second part where we run the sh script with unzipped, mrw folder files. That didn't work for me. I get stuck on supersu update failed. Eventually I did find another way from one of our brothers here at xda and I did get root "YAY " but on one of the reboots I got into boot loop lol(ofcourse I don't blame him for it) . And now I am back here to flashing FTF to stock firm with no root. (again ?) I do have a fair idea about rooting a few of my devices but this baby just doesn't want to be mine.

Skip the magisk part and to prevent bootloop use this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
Or an older version of supersu 2.79 for example

Thanks bro, guess I was late reading this. Got myself a vivo v11 pro
Im in possession of a Xperia Z Ultra, with lollipop 5.1.1 14.6.A.1.236, how do i go about rooting it? Ive been reading along on the forums and internet, and the only thing i can come to is using this one click program Kingoroot (and the likes), but those dont seem to be installing (error code).
What's the best way rooting my device? The USB port is abit unreliable, im using the magnetic port to charge the device.

Using kingo root solved it for me.
Hello!
I bought for my wife a Huawei Y5II phone (CUN -L21...B115). And I try to root, so that I can mount some folders on the external SD card:
1. I tried every application like KingRoot, KingoRoot, One click root, framaroot, SRS Root etc... but none of them worked.
2. There is no custom recovery for my model and software number
3. I have unlocked bootloader
Important info: I am a programmer (in VB.NET) but also I don't know very deep aspects of Android, so that I can write code by myself.
Is there anyway of manually putting binaries into their respective places? through adb and fastboot?
Or can I get an OTA update and modify it to include Super SU?
According to https://forum.xda-developers.com/app...-file-t3238991 , it might be possible to manually install the su binary. But I tried "adb root" and nothing happened.
P.S. believe me that I have searched a lot on XDA adn also on internet , but no luck...
Thank you
I watch both of them... On one I already commented.
KingRoot doesn't work (for me and for others. Also stated in original post)
And the custom recovery also doesn't work.
Thank you.. Tried with 5 recoveries.. Doesn't work...
you've been able to install recovery?
I dug up an old phone, a ZTE Avail 2, and have been trying to get this device rooted for a while. I've tried using Cydia impactor for Linux, it didn't work. I tried Cydia impactor on a Windows 10 VM, still didn't work. Tried many "one click root" apps for Linux, Windows, and Android, all haven't worked.
If it's of any help the phone runs Android 4.1.2.
The device doesn't have Fastboot or download mode (and if it does I haven't found it) so a custom recovery is a no go without root.
Please help me!
I guess I didn't try all the "one click root"s, because I've done it! I got root access!
For anyone who has the device and wants to root it just use Rootmaster, you can download it at rootmasterdl(dot)com
(I can't post link because I'm a new user)
remember! rooting with apps(with locked bootloader) and not with custom recovery(unlocked bootloader) might be dangerous.so be careful!! root with locked bootloader is risky!!
