Prototype-u kernel - HTC Desire X

Hi, I have been reading the post about the kernels and I use #30 a few days ago, but anyone can tell me how can I change the governor or the frequency values? I'm on MySenseDX3.0 rom.

Is undervolting is opposite of overclock?
For ex i OC from 1.5 to 1.8ghz and under volt means downgrade from 1.5 to 1.2ghz??????

No. Undervolt changes the voltage sent to the processor. Overclock changes the speed of the processor.

Faux kernel - schedulers?

Before anyone starts i cannot find a definitive answer.
What are these and how do they work?
And which is the most appropriate for a) battery life and b) performance?
I use faux123's latest kernel
Thanks
Faux himself has said many times that nvidia chipset does not allow schedulers to run because it is set to performance by default and any others added do not have any effect on battery savings, etc. I would provide a reference, but i do not remember the exact thread.
Edit: read this

Disregard my comment.
Search google for the different schedulers. There are explainations of every one of them and what they do, somewhere in Xda.
Search and google are your friends.

You obviously didn't search very hard because I had the same questions a few months ago and I found the answer fairly easily.

[Q] small question about SGP5 INTL w/ Mevordel's CM10 ROM

Is the INTL kernel on Mevordel's dev thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2077671) up-to-date ?
Browsing the forum, it seems that it was created on 05/01 and I was wondering if the kernel in the 08/01 release changed since 05/01 -- and if it is the case, whether the INTL kernel was updated as well.
Thanks for any info

Yes, it's up to date - you can tell after you have installed it by looking in system settings->Performance->processor->maximum cpu frequency.
if the largest value is 1320, then you have the latest version, if it is 1590 (or something like that) then it is the old version.
If someone want "old" version with 1.5 ghz i can upload ..i use that.

CyanogenMod 10.1

Hello everyone. So basically i have a question. Is anyone facing lags on cm 10.1 new nightlies? O have a lot of time with this rom, and i must say that 10.0 was much more smoother (at least for me)
On 10.1 even the homepage is choppy... I'm running Pegasusq overclocked 1.7 GHz with deadline scheduler... any advice you would give me?
Best regards

I felt the latest PA ROM was quite laggy too...
Use Siyah kernel and I have a few tips for settings:
--Over clock to 1.5GHz
--use lulzactiveq
--turn gentle fair sleepers off
--set touch boost to 1000Mhz (or more if you want)
--turn android logger off
I also undervolt all frequencies by 75mv.... I do a lot of PC tweaking and you'd be surprised how much that little amount can reduce cpu temps.
Hope it helps. Did for me.

It isn't really noticeably different to stock settings tbh.. (I.e. still not a patch on Samsung). Give it a go and see how you get on. It definitely makes the ROM smoother.

I have read comments from several devs that claim that this makes no difference and that those saying it does are experiencing the placebo effect
Addition: in case you are experiencing scrolling lag in any apps, make sure you have force GPU rendering ticked in developer options!! Absolute necessity in any JellyBean ROM.

Though I can change the governors on a stock kernel. Which one do you recommend? It was ondemand at first, I changed it to Intelliactive but noticed the battery goes a little fast. And then changed it into convervative now. Let's see what happens.

Ondemand is best balance
Intelliactive is more active inteligently like the title says... Aka using more battery then ondemand
And i usualy forget about conservative becsuse its as bad as ondemand with battery

Why is it not possible to over clock stock kernel? Im sure it has been done with other phones so why not this one??
Sent from my D6503
If you overclock stock kernel, it's no longer stock. It's a custom kernel.
