Any other ideas ? Its a Sony Ericsson Mini Pro (Sk17i), rooted, bootloader unlocked, CyanogenMod 10 installed.
ok, I just found out that the red led blinking was because the battery was empty, I put my phone battery in, tried turning it on and now a pink led truns on for a sec and the screen turns on but after that it doesn't do anything. I tried flashing it and it keeps saying the same message (see post above)
any help?
Ok Now First Select The Firmware flash settings like everything you do eg. press bolt icon -select ftf-press ok
.
.
.
now only connect ur phone when u r asked nt before
.
Remove the battery 15 minutes and while the battery is not often followed press Power button
poce flastool and all things necessary on the desktop of your PC, antivirus and also disables the test with patience.

pink led means kernel working. like said charge ur phone (simply but in cable it even must be on) for abot 15-30 mins after that try accesing CWM. if no kernel boot, make sure a) u get into fastboot (press vol down while plugging off phone to pc->blue led will lit) --> flash a other kernel any try acess cwm (try install rom if u get int cwm, choose a stable rom, u can transfer files via cwm mount storage option)
b) try get into flashmode (same way but vol down) if work --> power off phone, use the install (stock) .587 fw tutorial on Aneel's and saqibs honami rom (find there link in install desc.) --> use files and tut by sony forum in flashtool, dont connect phone , leave it off. set up flashtool like mentioned a popscrren will pop up then connect via flashmode
hope it works

Hi,
My X10 mini (E10i) was rooted some months ago.
I decide to install miniCM7.2, so I succesfully unlock the bootloader, then kernel flashing appears to be ok, but when I reboot it, it show a new big logo, and after a while, a kind of animated background was visible. But it loop indefinitely on this animation, freeze, screen become blank, then reloop ...
I can't reboot it, I can't remove the batterie (it's hidden into the device)

Re-flash to stock.
Make sure you garbed the correct downloads.. re-read instructions.
unlocked bootloader? While in bootloop zone, press and hold power button + middle button.phone should reboot, and u can go to recovery and install ROM
Again, how to reflash in the current situation ?
The good news is that flashtool detect the phone, but I can't reflash because I can't shutdown the phone ...
Do first things what i say, if that not work, u should reflash to stock rom with SEUS, with repair mode.
I miss your first post. In fact I wait all the night that battery become empty, and run flashtool, push foward and plug. I probably wait 5' that the phone has enought energy, then flashtool detect the phone and flash it with the stock kernel.
And it's works !!!!
note: the colored screen animation that was looping, was in fact the Sony Ericson logo presentation during the boot

Thanks. This has worked to reinstall a ROM on my SE Xperia X10 Mini
Hey there,
I have a similar problem here, but I can't solve It.
Did a Hard Reset by pressing the Power key and Home Key. I also tried to click the Reset button under the phone cover near the IMEI codetag thing.
I have tried to use the X10FlashTool, SEUS (it only says that i have the newest software already)
When I try to start the phone all i can see is a black screen and nothing else.
Any more solutions i can try?

Hi all!
I think this is the right place to post this (please correct me if i'm wrong)..
Today I received my xperia s and was super happy!! Made a call to my service provider to activate my sim. All good. I then connected the phone to my computer and installed PC Companion as there was a notification to update. PC Companion confirmed this and I went ahead with the download. After download was complete the program began installing the software and about 1/4 of the way in it stopped for about 15min and then gave me an error saying it was not able to finish installation I should try again or contact support. I then installed SEUS and the same thing happened. I then did some more research and downloaded both the GB and ICS generic .ftf files, installed flash tool 0.8.6 and tried to flash. For the ICS update I got the same spot as SEUS and PC Companion did before it froze.

I should say the first time this happened my phone was essentially bricked in that only the boot screen showed.
After trying to flash back to GB the process completed however the phone would turn on to the boot screen for about 10 seconds then restart, repeat.
I don't know if I was meant to change a setting in the phone to allow this process to happen or not but I don't have access to the phone so can't do much about that now....does anyone have any idea as to how to proceed?
My SI Number is 1257-6322 if that helps. I used firmwares:
LT26_6.1.A.0.452_Generic_CH_1257-3740_ (1) for ICS &
LT26i_6.0.A.3.75_Generic NL for GB.

Unplug your phone and try to press the power button and the volup button at the same time for a long period (until you get 3 short vibrations)
it will completely shutdown your phone
first you can try to plug it to a power supply and check if it charges or not. For flashing I advise you the phone to be charged at least 80%
once done, unplug the phone and press voldown button while plugging to computer. It should go to flashmode and you would be able to retry flashing.
Try on another computer if possible. Maybe your usb port is not enough self powered ... try with another cable if you can. I had once an issue with my cable where my phone didn't stop to show as plugged / unplugged / plugged / unplugged

Thanks for your suggestions and response, Androxyde.
I hard reset my phone every time (one vibration followed by three vibrations). If I don't (since the error first arose) then the phone will be constantly restarting on the "Sony" loadscreen...though sometimes it has got to the Xperia loadscreen after which it will freeze and restarts again.
I made sure I had over 90% battery power when I first flashed. USB ports have plenty of power. Now as the phone doesn't turn on I have been charging via power adapter to get a graphical indication of power level (not over 9000!!).
I'm beginning to think I have bricked the phone and am considering calling up my provider and telling them so. It looks like an isolated case, though I did read a post by someone who had the same issue but there was no solution as such. There is also a Sony service centre in my city (melbourne). I will try a couple more firmwares both GB and ICS and see how it goes...any other suggestions are welcome!!
Phone bricked after unlock and install of doomkernel
I have a similar (the same?) issue:
Unlocked the Xperia S
Used fastboot to flash doomkernel
Turned the phone on
Nothing happened. I've tried flashing several different stock ftfs using flashtool 0.8.6 and every single time I get the message:
ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CODE="0019";ERR_DYNAMIC="SIN header verification failed";ā
I've tried flashing only kernel.sin using fastboot and everything looks OK:
sending 'boot' (5576 KB)...
(bootloader) USB download speed was 18601kB/s
OKAY [ 0.321s]
writing 'boot'...
(bootloader) Flash of partition 'boot' requested
(bootloader) S1 partID 0x00000003, block 0x0000d000-0x00014fff
(bootloader) Erase operation complete, 0 bad blocks encountered
(bootloader) Flashing...
(bootloader) Flash operation complete
OKAY [ 0.347s]
finished. total time: 0.669sā
But again, the screen remains black and nothing happens. The phone had a full battery when I started and if I "turn it on" and plug the charger the red light turns on.
Any ideas as to how to bring it back to life?

I tried flashing Swedish rooted img (6.0.A.3.75) -- I originally had the German version. It flashed just fine using flashtool but it still won't turn on
I then flashed S-Advanced-Stock-v01_kernel.elf to no avail. I have a sinking feeling.
In the end I returned the phone under my carrier's DOA/ELF policy. I found out 24hrs after I sent the phone back (interstate) that it was irreparable!..and received my new one yesterday. Successfully flashed to .42 today and am super happy with the device!!
As to the original issue I suspect the cause could be;
- Hardware failure. If so almost 100% sure it's not my computer. Phone memory corrupt or battery issue would be my first guess.
- Downloaded software (update) corrupted, initial installation of GB corrupted.
So at least you know you didn't brick it... Btw, it happened to me too when I wanted to upgrade to ICS. It did a really short bootloop and got stuck. Eventually I got it to work and flash. I somehow made it go to green led bootloop. It would turn on and go to flash mode and turn off again. I had to find the right miment to throw the ftf file on it.

First you must turn it off, press volume up + power, untill you feel 3 vibrations, you may feel one or two single vibrations before it.
Then connect in flash mode when asked to, (press volume down and connect the USB cable)

FLASH mode, is used by FLASHTOOL and can be used on every model of XPERIA phone with a locked or unlocked bootloader. FLASH mode will give a soild GREEN notification led when connected. To connect in FLASH mode:
Start with the phone turned off (or in between loops for some tricks)
Press and HOLD the volume DOWN button. (don't let go )
Now connect to a PC using USB
If all went correctly you will get GREEN led, then let go of button
but i cant get the GREEN led.. just red led

You should be fine but you will need to re-root if it's not a cusom kernel.
Hi. My D6503 device shuted down suddenly and try to open you see writing up SONY down XPERIA on screen and does not go forward. i did this things:
1) i did hard reset. (volume down+power and volume up+power and push the red button until 3 times vibration)
2)i installed pc companion and used.
3) i used flashtool to flash orginal firmware to device but when it is flushing there is writing "reading device information" and does not go forward.
i think that every thing, every details is right that i did about this 3 solution. but it is not fixed.
i am not sure my device usb debuggin is enabled and is unlocked bootloader. i could not learn that because device does not open.
i have no idea how can fix that. i read a lot of things about that but i could not find. can you help me please? thanks
Please post log in flashtool when your plug in your device to pc

i also installed the Emma but when i try to connect Emma (turned of +volume down+usb plug in) i can not connect, nothings happen.
i installed drivers into drivers folder after flashtool was installed and when i attach the device (turn off, volume down) with usb to computer it was defined "SOMC Flash Device" below the device manager.

Download latest androplus kernel, unpack the boot.img, then just flash the boot.img though flashtool via fastboot mode, to boot to recovery, turn on your device and when the led turn on, pres volume down and that's your twrp ..

The lastest androplus kernel is v71, but that's okay .. Maybe that's error caused by your computer have two fastboot binary, one in flashtool, and one in other tool (example in minimal adb fastboot tool), if your machine have more than one fastboot, you can't use the fastboot to flash anything

i used another pc today and i just installed only flashtool not another program and i installed drivers into flashtool. i did eveything from the beginning and the same result i have. also flushing kernel. i guess usb debugging is disable so i can not do anything.
i can not lock bootloader because of usb debugging is disable. i can not flash the kernel because of bootloader locked.
if usb debugging is disable how can i recover?
