My phone is running on low space, I mean, I deleted a lot of files and apps and I have just 25MB internal memory remaining.
What files can I delete to restore useless occupied storage?
P.S. My phone is rooted

I installed Bionic rom today. I know the phone has 16gb of memory. After install i have 12GB total, and 6GB available. What occupies the rest of 6gb? Is that rom that heavy? I am new so forgive my question.
The rom doesn't take up any storage room room as it's stored in a portion of the internal nand that's not counted. Besides, the rom is only a couple hundred megs large.
2 gigs is used for apps storage, the rest is internal storage (basically you can think of it like an internal sd card). Some space is lost due to file system overhead which you really can't do anything about.
As for where the 6 gigs went, if you were making nandroid backups, you should know they are quite large and can easily eat up a lot of space. If that is the case, delete some of the unimportant backups.
Another option you have, backup the contents of your internal sd card, then format it from the phones options menu. Copy back anything you need. Ensure you at least copy back the update.zip used by rom manager.
thank you.
The problem is the "Tablet Storage"(Total space 16.12gb) or the storage that comes up in USB mass storage is almost full while the Internal Storage(11.81gb) still has around 8gb left.
I already moved all apps into Internal but I guess the real problem is that most android apps downloads extra data into the sdcard while the apps themselves are very small in size.
Hmm I guess I answered my own question. Any thoughts?

i think that is too stupid from htc to use more than half of 32 gb storage for applications, to fill it, we must install more than 1000 apps :silly::silly:
but i also think that it can be solved by re-partition of sd card and we must only ask custom rom maker to provide it in next version
try installing some of these apps to delete junk files
Experienced the same problem so I installed root explorer and manually searched for unwanted files and then freed allmsot 2 GBs of space. A lot of work though.
good luck
Hi, guys.
I have a LG L3, Android 2.3.6. It has 160 MB for installing applications, and 1 GB internal memory.
I've rooted it and all the applications are moved to the SD (due to a ROM bug, it's moved for the internal memory), but the applications are saving their data in the 160 MB system memory. And now it's full.
There are some way to make the application data be saved on the 1 GB "SD"?
Thanks.

you can use app2sd scripts to move apps to an ext partition on your sd.
Ask in your devices section for more help. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2133

I use Link2SD to it. The application is moved to the SD (in fact, the phone's internal storage, 1 GB, due to some ROM problem), but the application data still on the system's short memory.
Thanks, I'll post in that section.
my karbonn TA FONE A39 HD internal storage is having 500 MB Internal storage.
i installed just few apps and it shows low memory;
i rooted it found that a folder named CORE in data folder is having various zips each of 20-30 mb totalling to almost 250 mb,
Please help can i delete dese files safely and freeup my intrernal storage for applications.
thanx
My S5 shows 1.27 GB available in the internal storage. I know I can move apps and files to my SD card, but I'm curious about freeing up internal space.
When I look at the storage in Windows Explorer it shows 1.24 GB free of 9.71 GB. The phone shows the following:
Total Space: 16.00 GB
System memory: 6.26 GB (I assume that's the difference between what the phone says is total space and what Explorer says).
Used space: 6.01 GB
Cached data: 447 MB
Miscellaneous files: 2.02 GB
I assume I can delete from Used and Miscellaneous, but looking at the various folders in Explorer they are either empty or the files are extremely small. I've already removed pictures and I don't have any music or videos stored internally. It could just be a lot of the stupid Samsung and Sprint bloatware taking up the space.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
