Hello everybody,
I just recently flashed SuperNexus 3 (AOSP 4.3) On my i9300.
I have only one problem, and that is that I can't seem to hang up an active call.
It goes like this sequence:
1. dial a number
2. person picks up, everything is fine because he or she can end the call too.
3. in the event that the other end does not pick up the phone, the fun begins.
4. I'd like to hang up the call because there is not much to a voice mail.
5. I press the red phone button, whichs turns gray.
6. My phone goes back to the launcher, but says that there is an open call to be hung up.
7. The call can't be hung up so I end up having tor restart the phone.
I'd like to try a different kernel, but there are not so much 4.3 kernels out yet.
Any help would be extremely much appreciated!
Weird stuff is to be expected with beta releases, best ask in your rom & kernel threads if anyone else has similar issues.
I have this problem sometimes on my GS3 but also my grilfriend has the same problem on the HTC ONE X, it doesnt happen all the time but it does happen now and again, im on stock rooted rom and my gf in on plain old stock.
So maybe something to do with Android
Thanks for the answers. I will post in the threads once I get 10 posts, but I don't want to spam

i have the galaxy for 5 monthes now..
switched tons or ROMs and kernels.
since i tried the 2.3.5 androidmeda(i think it started there) i have a problem answering my phone.
when someone call me i can slide it right in order to answer, the phone stop the ringtone like i answered but i cant hear anything hile the other side think someone answered him as he doesn't hear the tome anymore.
i tried to go back to KG5 but i cant get rid of it.
it got better as i changed the modem(used to be on KI4) to KE4 and KG5(the rom im with right now but its not good.i can answer but it takes 5-10 seconds before i see the call screen and able to talk properly.
tryied androidmeda, cognition, batista, xpower(the used to be),villain and so. none helped so i guess its not ROM related exactly.
Maybe some data was changed (such as the opening after trying androidmeda-the white turning cube and the android character insted of the samsung s 2 pic).
i tried various MODEMS in order to solve it but no progress yet.
anyone familiar with this problem?anyway to solve it?
Sounds like a hardware problem more than a rom problem. You have tried all them custom roms do its quite odd. Id say trying to go back to a full stock rom if you haddent already and maybe test out other voice features on the phone like voice record and the google voice search thing.

Hi,
I am having a bug where the telephone feature gets completely silent. Means no one can hear me, I can hear no one, not even the free line signal. Everything else on the phone is fine.
I tried flashing different modems to no avail. Also I checked whether it's headphone related, but no.
If that bug happens, I have to completely reset the phone. After that, it works again.
Anyone here with similar symptoms and a possible fix? I don't want to reset my phone every six weeks..
I am running CM-10.1 from yesterday but it also happened with CM-10.0
[Q&A] altough Id love to help you I cant find anything related. Try a different, reflash gapps, try a megawipe. It is not rom related because otheres dont have the problem.
Also please, put questions where they belong, in the Q&A section of this forum, not in general. Hit the report button and ask for a move.
Kind regards,
Thomas

I have now resetted it (again) and it works as expected. The process with carbon is a bit easier, but still some manual configuration needed...
If it bothers me enough the next time, I'll try flashing stock.
Wrong modem.
Hey every body.
I'm having a nightmare with my s3.
Back at the start of April I changed my from from stock to cyanogen mod 9.1.
It was rooted prior to this and never gave any issues.
Cyanogen 9.1 worked perfect until today. I'm not sure if its an issue with the ROM or the phone
Symptoms are if I call somebody there us no dial tone but I can tell when they answer because the timer starts timing the call but I hear nothing.
They can hear me alright but that's it.
I tried flashing back my stock from but the phone won't recognize the next SD card.
Can anyone help please. I need this phone working
Thanks
Looks like the issue sorted itself out on its own accord.
Can anyone shed some light on what to do if it does it again?
I have got the same issue. I don't know why is it happening, but I have the solution.
###
Turn ON the screen lock sound in the audio settings. Restart your S3. Thats it. Keep it on.

Hi,
[I'm posting here because I'm new at xda-developers forum and it won't let me post into the development threads.]
Yesterday I installed a new Beanstalk ROM (with Android 4.4.2) on my Samsung Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100). Everything worked well from the beginning except... that incoming calls could not be answered. The phone rings, and a rectangle shows at the bottom of the screen, without the number / picture of the caller (even though it knows the caller because it's in the contacts). It seems like the screen stops responding the moment the phone begins to ring. Also, there are no "Accept / Reject" buttons to drag the rectangle to. The only thing I can do is press the Power button to lock the phone, but it doesn't help - pressing it again to wake the phone brings me back to the same state - phone still rings, but nothing can be done.
A google search revealed that the same problem existed on a Nexus 5 device, and Google suggested to do a factory reset. So I did... and after that, I could answer incoming calls. But a few hours have passed, and I made a couple of reboots (manually), and again - can't answer incoming calls. Does anyone have a solution?
There was another small issue, which is much less important - after logging in to my gmail account, the apps weren't automatically downloaded, as with other ROMs.
Thanks,
Shlomy

1) reboot to recovery and then do wipe cache and Dalvik cache and then reboot the phone and see
2) Also open the phone app and go to it settings (press the menu key for the same) and once there Scroll down to 'Interface' heading and there uncheck 'Non Intrusive' and see

Thanks a lot for the quick answer! Is this supposed to solve the problem entirely? The factory reset solved it for limited time...
Can you also please provide a link that explains this?

Well... I did (1), and it didn't solve the issue. I'm not sure what it was good for - when I install a new ROM, does it come with a cache? I thought all these custom ROMs come with no cache (and Dalvik cache) at all and these are filled-up when booting the ROM for the first time.
I also did (2), and this solved the issue indeed (giving up the non-intrusive interface which I don't need anyway). Thanks a lot for your replies!
I don't like to check other KK ROMs as long as this one is okay. I think the ROM is really great.
Thanks again!

Although (2) solved the main issue - I can now accept or reject calls - I am still interested to know why the "non-intrusive" dialog doesn't work for me, while it works for others using the same ROM on the same device. I see the incoming call card, with an icon (that should show the picture of the caller), but nothing else in this card, it is just white with no buttons.
Hello everyone,
Just got my S3 ( i9300 ) and surely enough flashed it to latest cm stable from their website which is 10.2.
Everything works, but I have this strange issue with incoming calls. When i answer the call, I cant hear the other person through the front speaker. I need to enable the back speaker and disable it to get sound on the front one. Sometimes the sound would be distorted. This does not happen on outgoing calls, they work perfectly fine.
I later flashed kitkat nightly and it had the same issue.
Problem goes away if i recover to stock. Unfortunately, i can't stand the damn thing.
Baseband v: I9300XXUGMK6, which is the newest for my region and also seems to be most common.
I tried googling, but couldnt find this specific glitch.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.
Thanks
Same problem, same story

Edit: i've also flashed the new baseband which comes with the rom: I9300XXUGNA8

I had the 2.4.5 installed and had to switch because of the issue, so i switched to archidroid 1.x version and problem was gone, now on archiport(ultimarom beta1) the problem is there again. Thats real sad because the rom is such awesome
So i think sammy had done something in their 4.3 version that fixed that

That's really odd, since I've been using Archi ever since I first flashed it ( at the time I believe it was 2.3.x ), and I'm a happpy user since then.
try dialing outgoing call to whatever number a couple of times and then get some incoming calls?
And yes, Archidroid is awesome, has everything you could possibly want ( the only exception being MHL )

I just have to activate loud speaker and then deactivate during call and sound is normal, a lot of users have the same issue but noone have a 100% solution. I know its awesome and will give it a shot when he release his 2.4.7 with CM

After i had a go with Omni, I can't think of any reason why should I switch back to CM. Arhci mentioned CM's support and developer base as a reason for the switch, will see...
I use my phone at work quite heavily and it's just impossible for me to switch back and forth speakers.
Found something interesting in kryten2k35 thread... Will report
CallSoundRepair.apk - Work as well
