Holy hell this is an amazing phone. Tablet. Phone. Wonder machine.
The screen is better than my Dell XPS 14!

Im Worksop too! I got mine in white unlocked from ecell on Ebay for £500 (its the 3g version though) takes 4 full working days for delivery but very very pleased with the device. Don't need 4g as im getting at 10-20 meg download speeds here in Gateford Worksop, im on Three on the one plan (true unlimited internet)

In gonna wait fora week or two, see what Three do, then make my decision
Using mine in Maryland. Love it! Lots of fun comments on it, and it's fun to put it under water and surprise people.
I used mine for about a week but realized it was too big to use as my daily driver. Using a Moto X now.

I got the T-Mobile GS2, for $198 with a $100 Giftcard at Walmart for black friday.

it doesnt really matter if u get a unlocked phone or not if ur still gonna use ATT or other USA Mobile companies! Still gonna be same monthly price!

Some people buy unlocked so they are not forced into data plans because they are in wifi. = cheaper. I also recently changed to a nexus s and even though its fun to use I'm still keeping my optimus. For what it was made to do, it performed well.

I sold my HTC One X, and have found the Xperia S and I'm ready to buy one from a USA Importer like Xpansys.
I read about the screen issues so what SW does the thing need to have to be in the new batch without the screen issues.
Also anyone using this phone on ATT, i take it it gets full HSDPA + data.

Not really, stock in a shop could be a month or two old. And you cant tell manufacturing week/build line from the box. Ask the staff to show you the backplate and look for 12w12+ and Not AA [eg AB are reportedly clean].
Also, read the screen thread.

This phone has all 3G bands for ATT.
EDGE only on T-mobile.

Wait like 2 weeks. Expasys got overprice and it will down if they dont sell in past 2 weeks. They order the evo 3d and they cant sell it soo the price drop for 280€ until they sell it lol

Lets see and hope.
Maxx is more or less the same as Razr plus larger battery.
So i dont think larger battery and demand of phone, should drive the price so high.
When S3 comes out and some other phones (panasonic, sony etc) the price should go down..

No. Euros. With no VAT included. There was 26euros worth of courier included.

I just want to clarify....The phones being sold from these websites are unlocked correct? So I can just plug in a SIM from a service provider and be good to go, correct?
I currently live in the U.S. but will be living in the Netherlands starting this summer so I am trying to pick out a phone.

Most of you know me, or have seen me around.... so are probably aware of my, 8 week cold turkey stint without my Ultra.
Reason being: There was a small repair needed.
... However today I took my family on a small tramp, in the sun, to a water hole for a swim..
I was taking some picture with my Ultra, and the screen started flickering... so i powered it off and then back on... 'black screen'
Everything was still working, but black screen. (obviously can't see anything) Went to do a hard power off, by holding the red button, and hmmm whats that. the white humidity paper is red. **crap!** the lens on both the front and back have fog all over them. No I've never even taken my device underwater, it may have received a few splash's today, but caps are always closed... and they were today.
conclusion:
The last repair was completed, and the device was not sealed properly...
So... awaiting a response to my rather lengthy email... (very polite) and will see what the company say whom i bought it from.
They are based in Hong Kong, and it cost me $120 NZD to send it there and back... (I had to pay both freight costs)
SO.... there you go. fricken awesome! My device is dead again!
Oh god no.. I don't know what to say. The typical thing now is that you'll ship it away (again) and we'll receive 4.4 the day after. Just watch it happen.

yeah but we are talking about NZ dollars here so the $120 is only about 50c US
as a comparison they are currently selling imported for about $6-800
This is bad news Hamdogg, you didn't got much change for enyoing this device. Hope this will be solved for you in good way.

I've used it in the rain, before I had the initial repair. worked fine, the humidity paper was still white. BUt the last repair company was complete rubbish. Was not my call as it was shipped to Hong Kong (where i purchased it) and they had it repaired.
So if your device is new, and not been opened then you're safe.

Yeah i'll get it repaired, and then sell it. I've bough a C6833 in New Zealand. Its not a sony store, but at least I don't have to ship it overseas. Should arrive next week I'm guessing. I was looking at the Z1.... but just couldn't do it. size of screen is obviously more important to me than a better camera... plus i have the QX10 so there's that.

I can get it locally for USD 128 new in hong kong, it's nothing surprising as the gear 2, neo and fit has been released, they need to get rid of the old stock, if it was water resistant it would of been a good accessory.

Yeah, I've been holding out until the Android Wear watches come out, but I've wondered how a wearable would be for a while. I'll just wait out the LG/Moto watches then. Can't be that far away.
Few days ago in France, the first Galaxy Gear was available for only 1€ in lot of stores : you paid 101 €, and you got 100 € refund by Samsung.
I really think this device does not deserve to be paid more. I prefer my Pebble Steel from any point of view.
Got one in a McDonald's happy meal. Lol
If they get cheap enough, I'm sure you could use it for something other than a watch. I'd strap one on my steering wheel for music control.
