Hey everyone,
Here's my query to the Android gurus..
In my company, there are specific ports enabled to go out/in to the outside internet. I want to use my Android device and connect to the Android Market.
I can connect to the corporate wifi and by using ProxyDroid, use the corporate proxy to connect to internet sites like google and others. But, it doesn't let me open Android Market. When I launches it, I get the message "No Connection.."
Do we have a software or other ability to bypass this limitation ?
I have Galaxy Nexus running 4.0.3 I9250UGKK7 rooted device with kernet [email protected] #194..... (wow...thats a long one).
Any help/direction will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hello Everyone,
The company I work for is currently in the process of buying a set of the Motorola Admiral PTT (Push to Talk) phones from sprint for our employees. However we don't want them using the phones for personal use. So is there a way to block them from accessing the market (play store) or to block the installation of apps. Essentially, does android have any administrative features like what I just suggested.
Also, is there a way to block the internet browser. We don't want to turn off the internet but to prevent them from browsing the internet on the phone but still have access to other internet using apps like google maps or the gps navigation.
Thanks for any help,
Mike
Hey guys! I used to download apps from google play using this tool apify
but it seems to always be broken, maybe too many people using it. Does anyone know of a similar tool that uses the same functionality, but doe snot encrypt the end result links/downloads? Basically, i am looking for a API tool that can download apps from google play without a PIN ID or email address
I'm not familiar with Android so just needed to know if there is an .apk app that would allow me to root my Android car stereo so I could then install and run an app called 'Market Helper 2.0' to allow me to change the device name to bypass restrictions on Google Play so I can install apps it currently says are incompatible.
I've installed Market Helper but for it to work my device needs to be rooted what I now know is the same as the jailbreak I have on my iPhone.
Thanks for any support or suggestion if there's an easier way to allow me to install unrestricted apps from Google Play. I know I can get apps from other sources but I want to install a particular sat nav (TomTom) and need the in app purchases like real time traffic updates and speed cameras. I do have TomTom on my device but it's missing the traffic updates for me and as well on occasions the car symbol appears to be flying over buildings so I'm sure thats not meant to happen:laugh::laugh::laugh:
PS: Why don't they just call it a jailbreak for Android instead of Rooted, damnnnn...lol
I just tried an app called Frameroot to root my device but I received the message 'Your device seems not vulnerable to exploit included in framework'.
I've tried another 2 Root Apk app and no joy. Are there some Android devices that cannot be rooted just out of interest?
Is there a way to bypass Google Play compatibility on an android device without it being rooted ?
Hello,
i am a long time cyanogenmod user without any google services installed. It seems like chromecast is just possible to be used with google play service api. There are some tools (UniefiedNlp, NOGAPPS) replacing parts of google api but it does not seem like its working with chromecast.
Is there any chance to get a chromecast work without installing google software?
I know from my own experiences that in general a chromecast can work without google services. So this is not impossible what you are asking for. But i am sorry i have no idea about android apps capable of doing that ...
