Hi XDA-Developers, i know that my type of problem has been solved many times on the forum, but each situation is different... last night i left my phone without charge the battery died, so i charged it a little bit, then tried to start it after that, and it loads but gets stuck on the HTC boot white screen, I can access to the bootloader, but that didn't help me much, my phone is rooted with S-ON and running a similar costume ROM to the original HTC, i have been using this rom for a while now, and have Titanium Backup, and SMS back up softwares, but i ddn't back up anything in months, is there anyway i can back-up all of it before i do anything? (I tried before and Nanodroid back-up doesn't really backup apps and texts) can someone tell me what to do to make it work without loosing anything? my phone details are:

one more thing, when i made the nanodroid back-up now, it should always name folder name by date and the date was 1970-01-01 (very weird)
Thanks for your help
Can you get in to recovery? Hold down volume down and power, wipe cache and dalvik then reboot... If you can make a backup in twrp, do it and try to flash meanbean it has a s-on kernel installer then with titanium you can extract anything from a backup, Good Luck!

I have searched and found some answers but jumping around from post to post isn't helping me at all. I already rooted and flashed adrenaline rom to my phone. Yesterday i downloaded a rom and tried to flash it via the phone. now im stuck on the white HTC screen and i cant get off it. i cant install any rom and dont know what to do. i cant access any any backup rom.
Can anyone help Thanks
More details please. S-ON? Bootloader lock status? Firmware version? What rom were you trying to flash?
can you boot into hboot manually by pulling battery > putting the battery back in >holding the volume down button + power? This should boot you back to hboot. Once in hboot you should be able to access your recovery and wipe flash etc.

are you s-on or s-off also what firmware are you on? I assume you're on ics to have been able to boot adrenaline successfully.

I tried to go to venom rom. I had all the steps and everything was loading. got to pick what i didnt want installed finished install and after it installed i kept getting an error msg that stated something crashed ( i think is what it said) i could hit ok and that was it. it kept coming up and id hit ok a few times and reboot. same thing over and over. i came home plugged it into computer mounted it and put Scott's clean rom and it sits on a white HTC screen.
If i choose the recovery it reboots and sits on a black screen and will not let me into the recovery

sounds like your boot.img is not being flashed. Since you are s-on you have to do that. I'm not sure if the roms you have tried to flash do that automatically or not but take a closer look at how it is supposed to be flashed. In the old days the rom would create a ph98img.zip file and you would flash it in bootloader...OR you would use fastboot flash boot boot.img to accomplish the same thing. Make sure you are wiping before flashing.

if you are still s-on you will need to flash the kernel for the rom, the installer wont do it for you. what ever rom you are using, please download the correct kernel.

I was in the process of rooting the phone.... the bootloader unlock process was simple enough but when i download the Hasoon2000 tool kit things started getting more complicated i flashed the recovery(TWRP 2.1.0) and pressed the permanent root option.
after it did its thing i could not find the SuperSU.zip file anywhere to flash it so i rebooted the phone and after going around for hours through forums i found some people saying to do a full wipe and that should fix the issue.
so i did but i think it deleted all my stock files from factory so now my phone is stuck at the HTC white screen when booting up and no matter what i try doing it isnt flashing anything to try and get it to boot up fully.....
i am not all that knowledgeable on fixing these issues if possible i would appreciate any help.
thanks

If you did a Full wipe and deleted the system, then yes, your device won't boot. What happens when you try to flash something? (Do you get an error, etc.) If no progress is made there, boot into fastboot and run your device's RUU.
I'm pretty sure I made a pretty big NOOB mistake here....
I was running the CodefireX CM10 Nightlies and was having some problems with my WiFi and 3G connections, so I went to change roms and wiped full cache, davlik, factory.
I flashed the Mean Rom and was stuck on the boot screen... In a panic, I quickly wiped and went back to CodefireX only to find that I was stuck on the CyanogenMod bootscreen as well for over 30 mins until my phone died.
I started fishing around to try to find a resolution to my issue and was told to relock my bootloader and RUU, so I did and the RUU failed.
The RUU that I ran was:
RUU_JEWEL_CL_ICS_40_Sprint_WWE_1.12.651.2_Radio_1.02.11.0423_2_NV_SPCS_2.28_003_release_257970_signed
I lost TWRP, cannot boot my phone past the bootloader and am lost with no idea on how to get my phone working again.
Currently this is what I have on my screen.

You need to try ruu 2.13. You have hboot 1.19.000 and any older ruu than 2.13 won't work.

The RUU you ran is an older RUU as far as I can tell you need the RUU for your HBOOT 1.19 that may be the reason it failed PM om4 he knows alot more stuff then me regarding this area
Just run the latest ruu and you should be fine, for future reference meanrom will hang and reboot. The first flash (clean flash) will take anywhere from 5-10 minutes. Should the kernel installer fail then you extract the boot.img from the Rom zip and place it in adb tools or SDK and flash it in fastboot
Hi! I have a phone with an unlocked bootloader, S-ON, that I am trying to get back to 100% stock. I have the 3.15.651.16 RUU, but for some reason, it will not detect my phone, without or without HTC Sync installed.
I simply flashed a stock unrooted ROM and its kernel via my custom recovery, but now I am unable to receive OTAs due to my custom recovery. I see two solutions here:
1) Use another RUU to wipe everything. I would prefer to do this, but since HTCRUU was taken down, I cannot find anywhere that has an RUU for this phone.
2) Flash the stock recovery.img via fastboot. This is fine, but I also am unable to locate this file anywhere.
Could anybody point me in the right direction?
Just extract the stock recovery.img from here *edit: stock recovery.img was not included. Just search over in Capt Throwbacks firmware thread in Android development.
As for the ruu I know there is a 3.15 floating around here somewhere...
Edit2 (cause I'm bored): here is the 3.15 ruu http://unlimited.io/downloads/dirtyracun/jewel/209/RUU.zip

You can get the RUU from here

Provided by jmz_taylor software, not the 3.16, or you can use VipeRuu in the android development thread

My goal was to learn more, but I am at a speed bump. when I realized I may have screwed up, there was no back up to fall to. I would like to know where I could get something to bite on. I have looked and looked, but am feeling a little over whelmed. Sorry if this post may be inaproppriate, but I am grasping at straws. Thanks in advance. please post or pm me.

Get into Twrp
Press mount
Press usb storage
load a rom( I suggest MeanBean as it has a kernel installer for s-on folks) from your PC to your phone
once loaded unmount usb storage
go back to the main screen and press advanced wipe, make sure delvik cache/cache/data/system are checked
swipe to wipe
press install navigate to the rom you just loaded(read the OP for s-on install instructions)
once done flashing it should ask you to reboot
once it settles for a bit go back to twrp and MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP
enjoy
Thanks

I believe you should be able to get into stock recovery and do a factory reset, but pics and anyting else will be lost unless saved to the SD card. I find it hard to believe that anything you deleted would be that valuable to the OS, since your basically stock...any important files should be protected from being deleted.
