[Q] Alcatel OT Star - Memory low (low RAM, not internal) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys,
I have serious problem with RAM on my phone. It runs JB 4.1.1 and has 512 mb RAM.
The thing is that often when I browse the web (sometimes light pages but very often at browsing imageboards like 9gag) i get a message in top right corner saying "memory low" and the stock browser is crashing. Similar problem happened to me in game Kingdom Rush during loading after beating the previous one. Once I had that strange problem that it crashed to home, low memory appeared so it closed the launcher, launched it on again, then off and so on...
I disabled bloatware apps from Orange and the System Panel Lite shows me 150 mb free RAM. It should be enough to not cause any problems... I'll just add that Moto Defy with the same amount of ram didn't make any problems.
Do you have any solution for this?
P.S. Does any one have stock ROM for this phone?

[Q] Xperia sola ram problems

my phone becomes so slow because of low ram availability , when i free ram many applications are shown in go launcher task manager that i didnt open, when i run games they run so slow but when i open youtube they appear to be fast on the same phone
I've been having this trouble too. It was Sony that suggested to me that my problems could be RAM related. God help us on Jelly Bean. I've deleted many apps and still don't know what to do.

[Q] Strange RAM problem - Gingerbread

I have a Huawei Ascend G300 running Gingerbread. I've noticed a strange problem involving the memory.
The other day, my launcher kept restarting every time I pressed the home button. So I checked the running services and very few things were running. When I looked at the memory bar at the bottom however, it said 57mb used/1mb free. This device has 512mb of RAM supposedly, so something is obviously wrong here.
Since then, I have been checking the RAM usage bar in running services more often, and adding the used and free values together. From this I've noticed that the amount of total RAM varies wildly, I've seen values between 220 and 350. My RAM seems to just disappear and reappear randomly.
Does anyone know why my RAM could be disappearing like this?

[Q] Free ram 0.0bytes android 4.1.2 [low memory msg for all apps & frequent crash]
Hi!
I bought iball andi 5li android smart phone a few days back. The configuration of the phone is:
512mb ram
4gb internal
1.2ghz cortex a9 processor
android 4.1.2
Although my device runs almost every app out there (including temple run, subway surfers etc.) but occasionally im facing problems.
problem occurs after 3-4 days of restarting the phone.
when i restart and check the ram usage it says 350 mb (approx) as used and 150mb(approx) as free ram every app runs smoothly but as days pass by gradually the free ram starts decreasing down to 30 mb where all the apps (games and browsers) start crashing with a low memory message. then the conditions get worse after approx 2 hrs free ram is now 0.0 bytes and even the launcher, settings etc crash with a low memory message. The only solution out is to restart the phone.
[used androids before and is quite aware of closing or killing apps but none is working]
Already Tried:
# removing apps from recent list
# stopping apps from Setting>apps>running apps & cached apps as well
# restoring to factory defaults
# used ram freeing apps (no change on ram)
Well just like on PCs if you keep your phone running for quite a while a lot of dead apps will fill your RAM and reduce performance, the workaround as you know it is restarting your phone.
I don't know that how this can be permanently solved. I myself restart my phone after one or two days.

One of your main issues is that your ram is the min to even run Android. With 5.0 they are supposed to optimize it for devices with low ram. Not a whole lot you can do right now.
Wayne Tech Nexus
a little fix
it is a common problem with all low ram devices
root your phone and install greenify (or maybe greenify pro with xposed framework ) and hibernate those apps that are using the ram on your device u will get much more free ram now explore around a bit

[Q] Unused ram

Hello guys, this is my first post here. I have a problem with my new LG g2 mini. I have about 200mb ram free after I have launched my most used apps, 3apps in total. Switching between them is very fast, all is smooth, then I put my device to sleep and after an hour 1 or 2 of the apps would start super slow, as if they are being loaded from internal memory and not ram, even tho I have lots of it free! Why do my apps get swapped out? There is an option in the task manager to auto clear ram, it was ticked by default, I disabled it, but made no difference
Another issue I have is, if I try to launch more than 4 apps at a time, the first one gets swapped out even tho I still have like 150mb ram free! Why?
What I think is the low memory killer is badly configured. I can never run out of ram! Every other than 4 apps get swapped out!
I know that issue... If my phone is turned on fro many hours, the keyboard (every keyboard) fails to open in heavy games like Clash of Clans, and my fried too (he uses LG L9 II). It seems to be an LG problem.
After 2 days turned on is almost impossible to do multitasking.
When my phone used to be rooted I installed Auto Memory Manager, and everything worked well.

Custom ROM. RAM for browser is low. Lag, crash app.

Hello all
I will describe the situation:
I have installed Android 10 custom ROM (Bliss) on my smartphone, before that I installed Android 8 and 9 (LOS, Bootllagers, crDroid ...).
The problem for all versions of Android is similar: when using a preinstalled browser or ViaBrowser that work in WebView, after loading 5-8 pages, the phone heats up and the system lag, then the browser simply closes. My smartphone has only (2GB ram).
The problem is that RAM overflow occurs, Android system loads RAM up to 1.6GB (not the browser process, but the Android system itself). Due to the fact that the RAM runs out, the android begins to close the cached and running processes (the user) to ensure the operation of the browser (only the browser remains in the cache, and the running processes, for example Whatsapp or Email, are constantly in restart mode - I think this is where it starts smartphone warmer). Some processes start to restart, but they cannot do so because there is not enough RAM, so the phone freezes and heats up due to cyclic start / end of processes.
Now working with the browser is simply impossible, and heavy Chrome or other browsers, such as Opera, Dolphin, slow down and warm up the smartphone a lot, even if there is enough RAM.
1. Can anyone advise, there are solutions?
2. What happens to custom roms, are they all so crookedly written (unfinished) or do just need to fix something (build.prop as an option) so that android can work properly with RAM in the browser?
- Found 1 option as the solution (as it seemed to me): ro.config.low_ram, set the value to "true" in build.prop - it did not help
Device: Samsung J510F (j5xnlte)
p.s: In stock android 7 there is no such problem, the browser works well, and the android works "correctly" with the RAM. The android system loads RAM up to 900mb, and the browser process itself is about 70mb - no more. Can surf the Internet endlessly, the smartphone is a little warm.
