First install these

BEFORE doing this TURN OFF ALL ANTIVIRUS AND FIREWALL PROGRAMS
now
and turn on usb debugging from applications\developement
install cwm
1.install sci usb drivers
2.extract debug tool
3.open channel server from {DEBUG_TOOL\DEBUG_TOOL\CHANNELSERVER\Bin}
4.then open research download from { DEBUG_TOOL\DEBUG_TOOL\ResearchDownload\Bin}
5.now click on settings in research download
In download settings main page
Select product
Click on sc6820
Uncheck select all files
Now select these files by double clicking under filename
FDL1
FDL2
RECOVERY
6.then click ok
TURN OFF YOUR PHONE
7.NOW CLICK ON START DOWNLOADING
8.HOLD VOLUME – BUTTON ON PHONE
PLUG YOUR PHONE USB CABLE
IT WILL SHOW PROCESS
WAIT FOR PASSED
UNPLUG USB
NOW REBOOT INTO RECOVERY VIA PRESSING
VOLUME DOWN+POWER ON
YOU HAVE CWM RECOVERY NOW
NOW ROOTING
JUST GO TO CWM
1.INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD
2.SELECT SuperuserAndFullBackup
3.WIPE CACHE
4.WIPE DALVIK CACHE FROM ADVANCED MENU
REBOOT SYSTEM NOW
HURREEYYY ROOTED ]

I'm using windows 8 single language OS.
my guess is it doesn't work on this particular version of operating system.

you are doing it right but i think you forgot to start channel server first
start channel server first then run researchdownload
and while connecting phone press volume down button
it will show progress and then passed in a very short time
then it will be done

volume down + power button at the same time and hold it till it shows cwm
and if this dont takes you to cwm then connect ur phone to pc via adb and give command in command prompt

Holding down buttons just flickred the boot screen once and the phone just rebooted normally. I did it many times according to the instructions but still the same. About the adb, my PC doesn't recognise my device. I installed drivers according to the instructions by various sources but still the same problem. I did had a spreadtrum device of micromax previously and had the same problem on it.

SORRY BUT I M REALLY TOO MUCH BUSY NOW AND TRYING TO GET TIME FOR A VIDEO TUTORIAL OR WITH IMAGES GUIDE
AND FOR ADB RECOGNITION YOU HAVE TO ADD VENDOR ID OF THIS PHONE WHICH IS 0x1782 in adb_usb.ini or you can paste the attached ADB_USB.INI file to
C:\Users\{your username}\.android\
if after that also adb is not being connected
then plug the cable to the phone and install pdanet.exe which is also attached here
make sure for adb "usb debugging" is ticked in [settings\applications\developement)
phone will be connected to adb for sure
please unzip both files before using

Hi,
I have been trying to flash CWM recovery using every possible means. I have tried MTK Uncle tool and have even tried SP Tool. both process completes and gives success report but when i restart the phone by pressing Vol UP button it enters into Factory Mode not recovery.
Reason i want to install CWM recovery is to get the phone nandroid backup and install some old ROM as the ROM which i have is 4.1.9 and has so many bugs in it. even it cant sync my google contacts and calender.
Please guide me why my phone is not getting recovery installed even after completing the whole process without any error and get OK report at the end as well but when first time it is asked to reboot into recovery it gives a blank screen and when we do that again after replacing the battery it enters into factory mode.

Have you tried volumee down? Or maybe use rommanager to reboot in recovery?

Yes i have tried both. Rom Manager reboots me into a blank screen from which i have to come out by removing battery and by pressing volume down button it again gives me blank screen
This maybe happening due to the recovery not supporting your device. I have seen this issue around mainly with knock off/clone devices. As for bugs well even down grading may not fix the bugs.
That black screen is RECOVERY MODE
download recovery manager from play store and flash recovery.img
110% works on every device
Then try to reboot to recovery by same app or by rom manager.

Actually rest all is fine and the only bug is that i cant sync my google contact with this rom... my one friend and old model with 4.0.4 rom and it works fine thats why wanna try that

Tried recovery manager... on first installation it showed no recovery installed i tapped on flash CWM recovery a popup appeared displaying downloading recovery... but it remains on 0% and suddenly it vanished at 0% and a black popup appear saying recovery flashed but still not visible in recovery colomn... and even if i do reboot into recovery mode same blank screen with nothing visible and if i restart by removing batter and open recovery manager it again says no recovery installed
What about preloader.... if i flash some other preloader but offcourse compatible to my model will that make any difference ?

Downloaded the app that you referred. installed that but its not running every time i tap on it, error appear like unfortunately recovery manager has stopped. i checked it on both while installing it on internal storage and external both sorry that i am bothering you so much. I have been using android for last 7 years now have used HTC Hero, HTC Desire, HTC HD2, HTC EVO 3D, Samsung Galaxy S3 original.... have rooted them all recovery installed custom roms, kernels and everything i have done... but this one has really made me helpless

2)install ADT

Presently i have two type of drivers installed on my pc
1. when i plug in the phone in normal mode it detect it as MTK65xx Android phone drivers are installed
2. When i plug it in when completely switched off for use in SP Tool mode it has drivers USB V com installed
3. When i try to get into recovery and switch it on while pressing vol up button it gets into a blank screen when i plug it in in that mode it is detected again as MTK65xx android phone but i dont have any drivers for that.
is this mode mentioned in number 3 is bootloader or download mode ? and where can i find its drivers as i googled it but coudnt find anything on that

I own the same phone and have tried installing CWM on it through all possible ways! I think that newer phones with MT6575 no longer work with the Recovery img that we have been trying.

I successfully found a suitable method to root it formely.. But when we reached to cwm level we found that the device is not at all taking custom recoveries .. even a moded stock recovery is not being showing up.. whenever custom recovery flashes it ll give a black screen and reboot... after a long investigation we figured that this device have a locked bootloader.. Is it possible for you to unlock this guy....

So here goes the first unofficial ROM (thanks to Ukrainen) for Penta IS709C. Its a Jellybean 4.2.2. and even though is still in very early phase of testing, sharing it for others to try. I am not a developer but if you find any issues, please let me know and I'll forward them to the developer...
Use it at your own risk. All your existing data will be lost and I am not responsible if you brick your device (however will try and help you bring it back to the state you purchased it in, but no guarantees)
This is what you need to do:
1) Download the zip file from here: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B5T-ylTRyyKdczY3Y1A1VTZXUms/edit?usp=sharing
2) Extract it to your desktop or any other loaction on your PC/ Desktop you prefer
3) In the folder 'CustomRom4.2.2forPentaIS709C', right click on RKtool.exe and click run as administrator (on Windows 7, figure out your self for any other OS)
4) Put your tab in flash mode [switch it off, press and hold the menu button (middle button of the 3 buttons below the camera) and then insert the usb cable already connected to your PC]
5) Your PC will install its drivers automatically, it auto driver installation fails...go to device manager on your PC and you'll find your device in other devices. Right click on it, click on update driver software, click browse my computer...and then point to the drivers section of folder 'CustomRom4.2.2forPentaIS709C'.
6) After driver update Click on EraseIDB of RKtool.exe window and wait for it to complete
7) Click on Run (You need not do anything after this step, just sit and enjoy)
8) Your tab will reboot once the above step is completed and the recovery system will do some formatting.
9) It will reboot once again and within next 5-10 min you'll have a working Android 4.2.2. on your PentaIS709C.

Anyway have you try installing it as a normal apks? If it still doesnt install then i guess you really have to be rooted..
How about, get root, install apps, then unroot.. I dont think the apps are affected. Im not sure just give it a try

Actually I have now the same question than "OP" on the recovery mode. I have now rooted the device the "super user app" is available and activated.
but I still can't access the recovery mode. I have tried the key combination mentioned in your post to "OP". then I referred to the post from DooMLoRD "All the info you need before you begin" with the Xperia Z tablet where the recovery mode is described.
I have the sony screen displayed, then I press volume up, the boot is going the normal way.
I tried with the usb cable connected to the PC, then it goes directly to the Xperia logo.
I tried the normal reboot (one light falshing) and the hard reboot (3 lights flashing) I do not have the device vibrating like explained by DooMLoRD.
Is this the reasn ?

but I still can't access the recovery mode. I have tried the key combination mentioned in your post to "OP". then I referred to the post from DooMLoRD "All the info you need before you begin" with the Xperia Z tablet where the recovery mode is described.
I have the sony screen displayed, then I press volume up, the boot is going the normal way.
I tried with the usb cable connected to the PC, then it goes directly to the Xperia logo.
I tried the normal reboot (one light falshing) and the hard reboot (3 lights flashing) I do not have the device vibrating like explained by DooMLoRD.
Is this the reasn ?

did you spam the volume up?
our tablet will not vibrate because DooMLoRDs links is actually for phone that ALSO works for XTZ..
You said you're rooted but still cant go to recovery.. HHmmmm..
Do you have the recovery installed? cause if not it will not work
you can install it Here
if you are rooted and the recovery is installed.. then nothing can go wrong

I have downloaded and tried unsucessfully to flash the recovery tool.
I couldn't access the flash mode as described in the basics from DooMLoRD.
“while device is power OFF
Volume Up + USB cable connected to PC -> FASTBOOT MODE (BLUE LED will light up）“
I'm afraod I will need some tutorial to go through the steps of fast boot...

You don't need recovery to install the apps if you have root. Just unzip the file using root explorer. The unzipped file will show from the structure where the files have to go so just copy them to the corresponding folder on the tab using root explorer. (apps, and their associated odex file if there is one, will usually be in /system/app folder) Don't forget to set the permissions (rw-r--r-- for system apps and odex files), also using root explorer. How to put Xperia Tablet Z into Fastboot Mode.
1. Completely POWER OFF tablet (not Sleep Mode).
2. Connect one end of USB cable to tablet.
3. Press and hold tablet's VOL+ button.
4. Connect other end of USB cable to computer.
5. Wait until tablet's notification light flashes red then solid blue, then release VOL+ button.
6. To exit Fastboot Mode, disconnect the USB cable.

Hello,
thanks for the walk through.
I have followed it step by step and here is the result. my computer (PC windows 7) makes a sound like a usb device is connected but not recognized.
when I connect the tablet in the normal way it is recognized without problem.
do you think I need to install some drivers on the PC as well ?

Hello Cat McGowan,
I have made some progress since your post. I have downloaded and installed fastboot toolbox from DooMLord (V1.0) and could access the fastboot mode
My final goal is to install the gapps on my tablet, I have downloaded the package the android 4.1.x.
to install the gapps, I need to find the recovery mode,
to install the recovery mode I have downloaded the TabZ_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel.img.
For the next step I need some help because I can't install the *.img through flashboot toolbox. or anything else for that matter.

Hello, Quick feed back on what I have been doing the last days.
I have finally understood the CWM recovery tool and managed to install from zip file the google apps.
unfortunately something failed in the process and now I can't acces the tablet anymore. "google service has unexpectly stopped"
I can't access the recovery tool anymore.
I may have to flash a new rom completely.
anyone has a suggestion ?

after too many pattern attempts I need factory reset (disabled usb tethering setting and wifi off). When I get to android system recovery I can't do anything. I'm trying volume up/down buttons but I'm still on "reboot system now"
When I push volume down button, nothing happens:

stock recovery is recovey mode in your device given by company but you can flash custom recovery like cwm
all device have their different recovery & you can't flash another device's recovery
you should have device drive installed on your computer

how bring this in fastboot mode
HI i have just bought Honor 7 european version PLK-L01 , i have rooted this phone with twrp recovery. and in twrp recovery which is in chines languge i have deleted OS and also some of TWRP files. no back has been made.
now i have just four options in my phone
without conected to pc.
1. direct in twrp recovery mode (vol up+ power button) and if i install my os through zip file. it shows MD5 not found.
2. i can see both internal and SD card storage. internal storage is 10.3gb. and have TWRP folder with TWRP.img. nothing more.
with usb cabel conected to pc.
1. both vol button + power button wil bring Huawei e-Recovery mode. there i can conect to my w-lan but msg will come getting package info faild
2. vol button down + power button will bring fastboot&rescue mode ( that i can conect with pc and should open Hisuite)
but nothing will happen.
or with out any Button apear just Honor logo.
can you please help me out to get back my os on my phone.

Thank you very much for your help. actually i have changed the computer and tried again its worked perfect i have my Honor back.... thanx alot for such great help
