I'm using the cm 10.2 JB 4.3 rom on my galaxy player (USA version). If I use the included kernal should the FM radio be working? It doesn't seem to work on that kernel, if I flash sultans v6 kernel then storage settings crashs, but the radio works. If I use sultans v6r2 kernel it seems laggy but storage settings works. Currently on the included cm 10.2 kernal without the radio but wanted to know if the FM raido is working for others.. or if anyone else experienced performance issues in sultans v6r2 kernel.
thanks

Hmm. Which kernel? And which player? International or usa ? Yeah I even went back to GB then back up to cm 10.1 and the radio works if I flash sultans kernels but seem to have a few bugs.

sgp5,, sultan kernal latest one for 4.3 usa. don't use the radio but for performance was pretty good.
Yeah I like he performance of the default ROM but the FM radio doesn't seem o want to work or me on that kernel. Sultans the radio and performance are good on r6 but then storage settings doesn't work which means I have to power down the player to load he micro SD card. On r6b2 fm radio works as well but performance sucks but storage settings works. At this point I'm on 10.2 with the default u.s.a kernel with no radio. Just curious if other were having any luck with either the FM radio on he default kernel or performance laggy on sultans 6b2

Well, i would ask you to update the version of CM7 by mik
I am sorry, i forgot that you are using the latest version of CM7. As your version i.e 6.5 is unstable (beta release). So, the bugs are expected. Please lower your CM version to 6.3 which is a stable release with a minimal amount of bugs and may solve your problem.
i use 6.5 version.
If i come back do 6.3 stable, is what I have to make a wipe ?

Yes, you need to wipe
Read the first post in MIk-os thread!!
Bluetooth for phone calls does NOT work.
If you need your device to make bluetooth phone calls, go back to original LG rom.
is another good rom to recommend ? a rom that works using bluetooth ?

Try franco's ROM ... it's awesome for a froyo build
I used CM7 6.3 by MIK-os, GB 2.3.3 (stable release), the bluetooth is works properly and it the best Custom ROM for me rather that froyo based custom Rom..

Does anyone know if the Mac Kernel Linaro -03 works on the Paranoid Android 2.52 ROM by lens?
try it , find out and share result.
If you are referring about Mac sense then no it won't work with pa jb. Mac Aosp does but your camera will not work. So I suggest the butteredtoast RSL 12 kernel.

I tried the butteredtoast kernel but it cause the camera not to work also I tried using both camera drivers but the aosp ones caused a no boot scenario.
The camera already works without a different kernel flashed. The buttertoast kernel I know for a fact works with the camera because I am using it now. Have you tried doing a full wipe and reflashing the rom?

Yes I did do a full wipe and installed a nandroid backup, but I'll just wait for the next update to the ROM as lens stated that he's including the buttered toast kernel.

SOLVED: used latest syah kernel 5.01 and worked as primary revolt and secondary MIUI. No problems so far, i think dream kernel would work also on this matter.

Good that you resolved it but there is no need to bump/double post your thread. You have an edit button.
What kernel does: cyanogenmod need?
I'm currently using the:Siyah-s2-v5.0b2 kernel,
and, I'm using the SuperNexus 3.0 Rom.
Here are few problems I have been encountered:
1, The sound is very low, even at max level of volume.
2, The font, the screen changes t weird look after rotating while texting.
3, The photo issue, jepg thru USB transfer wont show,
So, I downloaded one of the cyanogenmod for i777, thru the cyanogenmod website,
Someone, after I flashed the rom, the home button, and AOSP key don't work, and it keeps saying AOSP not responding...
I'm wondering what kernel does cyanogenmod use.
Can you recommend any stable rooms with its working kernels..
Thanks

Use AJK 4.6 THE BOSS (based on Siyah) with Cyanogenmod. Make sure it is the AOSP version.

-Cyanogenmod doesn't NEED a kernel at all, it flashes with its own, but it runs smoother with the AJK kernel listed above.
-you lost the home button and a few others? Flashing the incorrect GApps can cause this. 4.2 GApps are different than 4.3 GApps
-a STABLE 4.3 rom? aren't they all in nightly/beta stages? good luck with stability this early in the 4.3 game.
CM 10.1.3 RC2
I777UCMD8
AJK 4.7 (until a newer one shows up)

I do not use nameless ROM but a quick look over the LP thread suggests Boeffla CM kernel could work with nameless. Have you tried? Just asking...
Anyway I would suggest Archi Kernel. Should work fine because it uses the AnyKernel method. Just be sure to flash it over the stock kernel that comes with your rom.

I just mentioned that because you wanted a kernel for nameless rom on LP and as I don't use it I wanted you to know that I'm not speaking from personal experience with that rom in particular. But the way it is built, ArchiKernel should work with every rom and people seem quite happy with it.
I personally use a sammy based KK rom at the moment because I like the UI, mainly for the looks not the performance...
If you want to try another non-sammy based rom other than nameless I would check ArchiDroid also developed by JustArchi as is ArchiKErnel.
