[Q] Mac Kernel - HTC EVO 3D

Does anyone know if the Mac Kernel Linaro -03 works on the Paranoid Android 2.52 ROM by lens?

try it , find out and share result.

If you are referring about Mac sense then no it won't work with pa jb. Mac Aosp does but your camera will not work. So I suggest the butteredtoast RSL 12 kernel.

I tried the butteredtoast kernel but it cause the camera not to work also I tried using both camera drivers but the aosp ones caused a no boot scenario.

The camera already works without a different kernel flashed. The buttertoast kernel I know for a fact works with the camera because I am using it now. Have you tried doing a full wipe and reflashing the rom?

Yes I did do a full wipe and installed a nandroid backup, but I'll just wait for the next update to the ROM as lens stated that he's including the buttered toast kernel.

Hello.
I have a question:
Is there any posibilities that Mwakious3Drom® Aosp 3.5 support OTG.
I ask this because he use modified ButteredToasT kernel, and this kernel in its original form support OTG

You can always tlash "normal" Buttertoast and give it a go

Is there anyone who knows is this rom support OTG

I flashed another kernel, OCed it ti1566MHz, and it works perfect! Phone is much faster than with Mwaks stock kernel, no reboots, no glitches, my battery is running 1day, 13 hours moderate use and I still have around 20% left. So, it´s totaly up to you which kernel you are going to use. Try flashing few kernels and see which one works best for your needs
Excuse me but can i know which kernel do you use

[GSM] LiquidSmooth 2.1 Kexec STABLE

I am curious why here on xda is not much about this great rom?
http://goo.im/devs/liquidsmooth/umts_spyder
i am using it since few days, it is smooth as in name, battery is ok, usb connection works, it is kexec...and after you install more locale 2 is almost in your language...
only problem i have is - i dont see how to enable usb debugging as titanium backup asks me to do it...
if soemone know, please write here, because on settings-apps there are only apps...
http://goo.im/devs/liquidsmooth/umts_spyder/Liquid-JB-v2.1-STABLE-umts_spyder.zip
Im going to try this too.
Can i flash it via SS3.11?
what's the base? cm10 aokp etc. ?
will it work @bmm
There is no need to enable USB debugging even if titanium ask for that .it works without enabling since gingerbread. you can switch off the message inside titanium setting.however USB debugging is inside developer settings menu.this ROM is old.that's why it's not listed here

Are you sure it's kexec? I've been using the liquidsmooth from crackflasher's nightlies, that one runs on the ICS kernel. absolutely love the rom and it's stability

You can enable USB debugging tapping 4 or 5 times (don't remember exactly) over Compilation Number at Phone Info Settings. You will get a notice adverting you about it...

Yeah, it's Kexec i'm sure... I have seen it on the zip
This rom is not old, it is from 15 mar 2013
Base is probably some cm
Kernel is kexec, you can flash it having already installed any other kernel
In bmm 0.3.4 just enable kexec, i have it on slot_3
kernel inside this rom is 3.0.31 by dhacker29
it can be connected to usb pc and there is no reboot.

hmm tried it for just abit on system 2 of bmm, it's seems pretty stable, but i think i will stick with the non-kexec version for the time being. works better with motomizer for underclocking/undervolting
http://sts-dev-team.crackflasher.com/nightlies/umts_spyder/liquidsmooth/
It's not based on CM or AOKP, Liquid Smooth uses their own source.
Just installed it in Slot_2 using BMM and works like a charm! Smooth, fast and a lot of customization options. Really I love it!!
I hope they can add Spanish language because with morelocale is not enough to get everything in spanish.
Thanks for this!!

I think Dtrail is trying to come up with one, but i think the current batches are all based on whatever source Hashcode and Dhacker have released so far. Maybe some time in the future..
What about bugs?

I tried doing a search on Google but couldn't find much information of it unfortunately , From what I can tell, it seems to be on 4.2.2 but I guess we all need a tad bit of instructions
Edit;
E.g. Information such as bugs, working h/w composer etc.
GSM? or does umts spyder already suggest that it's for gsm
QUICK QUESTION!
Are there any pre-requisites for installing this rom? Currently running Jbx 1.0
All are based on aosp so in every rom you will have same bugs. Don't know if camera flash will ever be fixed..

Hello, where to find more on this? I mean, specs, screenshot, etc
Looks interesting, I will try this asap

jbx is based on the stock 4.1 rom if i'm not mistaken, the roms that have issues with camera flash are the ones that are cm/aokp/liquidsmooth based roms, which are 4.2 and above.

What kernel does: cyanogenmod need?

What kernel does: cyanogenmod need?
I'm currently using the:Siyah-s2-v5.0b2 kernel,
and, I'm using the SuperNexus 3.0 Rom.
Here are few problems I have been encountered:
1, The sound is very low, even at max level of volume.
2, The font, the screen changes t weird look after rotating while texting.
3, The photo issue, jepg thru USB transfer wont show,
So, I downloaded one of the cyanogenmod for i777, thru the cyanogenmod website,
Someone, after I flashed the rom, the home button, and AOSP key don't work, and it keeps saying AOSP not responding...
I'm wondering what kernel does cyanogenmod use.
Can you recommend any stable rooms with its working kernels..
Thanks

Use AJK 4.6 THE BOSS (based on Siyah) with Cyanogenmod. Make sure it is the AOSP version.

-Cyanogenmod doesn't NEED a kernel at all, it flashes with its own, but it runs smoother with the AJK kernel listed above.
-you lost the home button and a few others? Flashing the incorrect GApps can cause this. 4.2 GApps are different than 4.3 GApps
-a STABLE 4.3 rom? aren't they all in nightly/beta stages? good luck with stability this early in the 4.3 game.
CM 10.1.3 RC2
I777UCMD8
AJK 4.7 (until a newer one shows up)

which rom you tried to install as second rom?
you know that syah kernel is discontinued and does not work with newer roms?
use instead googymax kernel (based on syah kernel), it is discontinued now as well, but at least it also supports the latest roms (except the ported note 2 rom kitkat rom)
or use devil kernel
or use arter97 kernel
for dualboot

Constant bootloop on flashing Franco Kernel over Oreo 8.1 ROMs

I wanted to flash a custom Kernel for the best battery life and buttery performance over my Nitrogen OS 8.1 ROM. After going through the xda posts and several kernel review videos, Franco Kernel was the best match.
So I tried flashing the latest version 'fk-r16-anykernel2.zip' over my clean ROM but it resulted in a bootloop. So I did a factory reset, flashed AOSP Extended (I thought probably Nitrogen OS and Franco doesn't go hand in hand), and tried Franco Kernel again but without success. I tried all the available versions of the kernel for Oreo ROMs but all resulted in a bootloop ultimately. Please help if anyone has faced the same problem.
I tried wiping the Cache and Dalvik Cache before and after flashing the kernel (although I don't see a point in doing that).
My device information:
Device - Redmi Note 3 SD (Kenzo)
ROM - AOSP Extended Oreo (June 10 official build)
Bootloader unlocked.
TWRP Recovery 3.2.1 installed.
No custom kernel installed.
FK is outdated and will NOT work with roms with the new device tree. This is already posted on that thread and AOEX too.

Ohh.. I didn't know that.. Thanks for your quick reply.. Can you please suggest any alternate Kernel that's as good and supports the new device tree?
Thanks in advance.

The stock kernel is good enough for me, you can always use a kernel auditor to edit it. People use agni kernel.

I tried that too. But there were stutters everywhere. That led me on to Radon. Are you using it with AOSP Extended?
Im using it on bootleggers
