Trying to figure out a way to disable crt off animations. Already have animations off in developer options but the animations are still there. Running jellybutter 8.5, any thoughts?
Edit: figured it out:

Hey gang does anyone have the stock transition animations for the photon? I thought they were in the animation mod app but there not.
Awaiting Assimilation
Any idea where they are or what they may be called?
I'm trying to find out where they might be on the EVO 3D hopefully they will be in the the same place
Awaiting Assimilation
They are in the framework-res.apk. Change it to a zip file and then look in res, anim. The animations are in anim folder.

Ok thanks ill look into it
Does anyone have just the framework they can post so I don't have to grab a full rom?
Awaiting Assimilation
Here is my framework-res.apk with some custom animations that I added in. Anyone is welcome to push this to their /system/framework or copy it there with root explorer (don't forget to change permissions) and have a few extra custom animations (zoom menus, slide window transitions). My attached framework is from Alien rom so beware some of your status bar icons will change if you use this with non alien theme.

Kratos this is the stock photon framework-res. This one does not have the custom animations I added. You can grab the stock photon transitions from this anim folder!
Sorry for the noob question. This morning, I tried to fool around with system/app/systemui.apk using ninjamorph, but I kept messing stuff up and having to restore from my TWRP backup. Any ideas?
change the drawables in the systemui.apk i do it outside with 7zip...im no themer by any means but ive fooled around with a few things
Thanks for the advice. It led me to search for more info on 7zip and I found this post:

muCommander! Just rename the .apk to .zip and browse it using muCommander just like you would using WinRar! Just tested it, I was able to add and remove files without resigning. The modified apk installed on my phone without a problem!
As for editing xml values you can simply copy the xml file out and edit it using your favourite editor and then copy them back in.
Hope I was able to help some OS X users.
/edit By the way, this method (WinRar or muCommander) also works for editing update.zip. This means you can customise the rom (add/remove system apks, change the boot animation etc) before you flash it.
The one thing I'm having trouble with is the green bars on the bottom of the notification toggles. I can't find where they're at.

I'm using CleanROM. I really hate the green Touchwiz battery and toggles, so I used this ICS blue theme from my GS3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1775235

In a root file explorer (I use esfile) move the systemui.apk to system>app ... It will ask you to replace the existing file ..chose yes. Then reboot. (It will start force closing ...don't panic...work through the warnings and reboot).

Hi all, is there any easy way to disable the ugly CRT-OFF animation on custom ROM?
Which ROM? Most have a means to do so in settings.
kitchen.indieroms.net/kitchen/OmegaFiles_SG3/v39/Remove_CRT-OFF_Effect.zip
This is the CRT off removal zip.. Flash it and it should be removed.
PS: taken from Omega kitchen files

Because they use same apk, framework-Res.apk in this case I think.
You have to re-add ink effects again manually by yourself, you can find it in theme section

Hey guys. I made a mod that allows you to select whatever widget you wish for your lockscreen. It allows home screen widgets and lockscreen widgets. Some home screen widgets may not work perfectly but most should. Don't forget to hit thanks
This is for STOCK BASED TOUCHWIZ ROMs!
If you find this breaks a specific ROM feature, just let me know VIA PM and i will fix it for you. (I ask via PM cause i sometimes miss peoples posts)
If you are running Hyperdrive's ROM, then use the hyperdrive version
If someone running a complete STOCK ROM would please provide me with the android.policy.jar file (please send via PM don't post it) i would greatly appreciate it
Just flash attached zip in recovery and profit Btw, don't forget to hit thanks
I downloaded this and installed in recovery, but after phone reboots what are the steps to add widgets to lockscreen? I tried long press and also settings in lockcreen but no go.
I am running hyperdrive and swipe lockscreen.
Thanks,
Glenn

Not yet. There is an xposed framework mod that allows Widgets on secure lock screen. I'm trying to add it to the actual file so you don't need the module. Give me some time

This would be sweet. A custom widget on the secure lock screen is one of my most desired missing features of the Darkslide/stock ROM.

This thread is way old, but was this ever figured out for stock Lollipop? I only see download files for Hyperdrive.
Is it possible to port Android L's animations? like the slide up effect when app launches. I love that transition
If you have any idea, I would appreciate it much. Thanks

Simply copying the xmls into your framework res apk won't work because the apps have to be re written to use those animations rather than their own. Or you can try by renaming the anim xmls to the names already present in the apk.

Yes. I when i tried to copy the xmls from other framework, some of the animations worked like the screen rotate animation and the popup dialog but the app launch won't. Still it uses the old jelly bean transition (scale up) even though I replaced almost all of the xml in the anim folder. I don't know which xml is for the app launch.
About your last, what do you mean renaming the anim xml to the names...? I didn't get that sorry
Thanks !
