Improve Bluetooth Audio On Stock 4.1.2! (Must have root) - AT&T LG Optimus G

Using your favorite Root Explorer (I use Root Browser) go to:
/system/etc/bluetooth
Open audio.conf
Find line: SBCQuality=MEDIUM
Change it to: SBCQuality=HIGH
Reboot.
Enjoy BT Audio how it should've been from the start.
Sorry if people already knew this, but I couldn't find anything.

Some of us use noozoxide rewire for such things. It's a free root app and it works well.

Excellent, found the same settings on my LG G Pro, gonna try it myself too,
by the way, I am actually searching how to improve the output power of the bluetooth in the LG, it's actually weaker than my old Sony Xperia S, any idea?
P.S. after some research, this seems to only support A2DP audio, so it won't actually improve quality of voice call

Looks like I'm not the only one looking for a way to boost the output volume/power for bluetooth....
I just posed the same question in the Q&A section (moderators & senior members, please forgive me if my post in the Q&A is considered a duplicate. I did a search under the Q&A forum section and I didn't find a post related to my question )

Bluetooth power boost would be great

[MOD][PORT][UNIQUE][05/28] KingBeatZ Audio - 3.0.9 Linaro/GCC 4.9

The phenomenal KingBeatZ audio mod from aznrice2k4 works with Nexus 10! Compatible with Stock, AOSP, and AOKP ROMS.
100% Compiled with Linaro for superior performance!
Versions 3.0.9 recommended, but 3.0.3, 3.0.4, 3.0.6, and 3.0.8 are confirmed working as well.
This is a heavily modified BEATS Audio mod that can also boost volume above stock level, has extra preset equalizer settings, and increases sound clarity. No placebo/emulated effects unlike other mods. Info (follow the instructions for the Nexus 7) can be found HERE
All credit belongs to aznrice2k4 but any issues that you may have (albeit highly unlikely) after following the instructions correctly should be posted here. I have successfully used this on many devices and also in my ROMs for the OG RAZR.
Unique or Acoustic Equalizer settings have been found to have the best sound. Loudness setting will boost volume, use with care to prevent damage to headphones, ears, etc. Other than that, use what sounds good to you!
Enjoy!

I always use ROM Toolbox to edit build.prop, if its having an issue saving changes I would try a different editor. ROM toolbox free version has that function as far as I know.
I am not seeing lpa.decode=true" in my build.prop is that a problem? I am using mrRobinsons aokp pub if that makes a difference

Uhh... If you have this installed on your device it works on all sound on your device... It has nothing to do with individual apps...
Work great on my N10:good:
Does it work with MX player and stuff like that? Or it only works with the music player?
As I said 2 posts up, it works with all sound coming from your nexus... Not just individual apps

[OFFICIAL][MOD] ViPER4Android (V4A) Audio Effects - FX v2206 & XHIFI v2009

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2191223
This is just a link to this Audio Mod to let people know of it's existence and that it is compatible with the N10. I have used it and I think it is fantastic. Not only is it a very powerful audio tweaking and improvement app it also allows the onboard speakers to gain more volume across the board and not just app specific.
I am just a normal end user so don't bother asking me any questions here, lol.
I just saw this line in the thread "To volunteers, feel free to share V4A in your respective device's forum or anywhere applicable. Link them to download here. Thanks." and I was so impressed with the mod I felt moved to do so.
Amazing audio mod. Had to set it to compatibility mode and everything sounds louder, clearer, and cleaner. (with some fine tuning)

Yep, I am really impressed with it.
It works better than any others I have tried.
@stonebear,
Nice work to share in the N10 forum..
For certain players if it still does not work in Compatibility mode, switch it to Safe mode and without a doubt it should work.
Don't understand it but it works.
Is it safe to use?
LE I mean in the long term for the speakers

As with any audio mod, or mods in general for that matter, you experiment at your own risk. I'm not saying that using this is "dangerous" by any means, but everyone knows higher volume and bass can cause damage if you're not careful. However, it should be common sense to determine how loud is too loud for your external speakers to handle.
99% of the time I use a good pair of studio quality headphones with my tablet for any music or videos so its not an issue for me.
Just wondering how you set this up?
I installed the FX version, installed the APK, chose A9/15 with neon. When I go into driver status, even after reboot it says:
Neon enabled: Yes
Enabled: No
Status: Normal
Processing:No
I can tell it's doing something when I'm listening to a song and flip the equalizer on and off, not sure if that's it though.

Simple. You can install both. Freeze either one of them using titanium or run both together.
Can anybody confirm what your "Music Effects" button in options SHOULD do? I click it and instead of letting me select, like on my phone, I get this.

With any audio playing app you must always disable the apps audio features such as built in equalizers. With MX Player: Settings->Audio and un-check Volume Boost. That is how my MX Player audio settings are and it works perfectly with V4A.

I don't believe those settings are where your problem resides but here are my settings anyway.
Settings->Decoder
- All HW items check except "HW+ decoder (10 bit)"
- No software or any other items checked on the Decoder settings panel
Settings->Audio
- The only settings that are checked are the two Fade settings and System volume panel
My last suggestion is to go the main V4A XDA thread and search on MX Player. That is how I confirmed which settings you need to make V4A and MX Player compatible.

Any equalizer that works with our phones and play music?

I've been looking for an equalizer for music... ideally one that works with any music app I choose, but in particular one that works with Google Play music (just because all my music is already in there).
I've tried several, and while a couple kind of worked (they show up as available choices when you hit Equalizer in Play Music's settings), they either only sometimes actually have an effect, or eventually will cause no audio out of the player whatsoever and I usually have to reboot to get it back.
Others, while they seem to work fine for the built in music player, don't seem to do anything for Play music. We don't have the audio effects menu in our sound settings which may have something to do with how the audio is routed which may be why most of these are not useful.
Try this one. I've used with good results

Thanks. That's probably the one I'd had the best luck with in the past, but it's still been hit-or-miss.
you can also try Viper4android from playstore. It is an excellent app for rooted phones. I have been using for the last few months, and it gives an excellent sound response from almost any earphone, with superb facility to tune, and adjust to your liking.
Plus one for vipermod. Been using it a while, it works well.

Theres an app called beats audio installer is in the play Store and it works
I believe Beats Audio itself is actually a kernel feature.. If it couldn't be directly ported over in it's truest form then you have other options like "Awesome Beats" something like that which I believe is a port of Beats Audio..

Beats audio is only and only a EQ thing. Not so much.
AND THERE IS NO SUCH THING LIKE BEATS AMPLIFIER. Amplifiers that inside One, mini and max are produced by NXP and customized by HTC sound engineers.
