Previously I was having stock ICS and cyanogen mod which gave me 3 days battery life.
My specs:
Device: neo v
ROM: ultimate HD 5.0
kernel: Alliance 1.5
CPU settings:
Governor: tried, ondemand, interactive, conservative and finally on smartassv2
scheduler: SIO
I already wiped battery status, tried calibration of battery etc.. I couldn't get any expected gain in battery life. How to overcome this?
Also,
Can I directly use the Emma tool from sony to back to stock ICS? Since I'm on Alliance kernel, should I need to flash the ICS stock kernel first?
Thanks.

I am using 5.0 with Alliance kernel on my Neo,and OndemandX governor,but I dont see my battery draining any faster than on my previous ROM which was Zelly Cream 3.0.1.Three days of battery is quite a lot,I never got that much even on stock ICS with my phone use.Try reflashing the ROM with full wipe.

Yet another battery drain issue

Hi,
I bought a new Atrix from Personal Argentina. Ever since I bought it and change it to CM the battery drains as 3% or more per hour when the phone is idle (no data or wifi on, neither screen). I changed to Neutrino 2.2 EE rom as it is supposed to be optimized for battery life and the issue still persists.
I tried to check if some up was running in background using high CPU with WatchDog but I didn't find anything.
I also tried the process these guy describes on the first thread but my Atrix already measures around 4200 mAh http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1198333
Not sure what to do next.. Maybe change the radio, but I am not sure which one should I use for Personal Argentina.
Please Advice
Just changing ROMs is not enough, you'll have to experiment with different Kernel, ROM and Basebands (radios) until you find the best combo.
For me Wetdream 1.4.3 ROM, FAUX 1Ghz Kernel and 77.36P radio seem to do the trick. (see screenie)

I have the same bug, but it's in the nightly. Get used to this bug, because it's exactly how battery drain issues began on the GN

Actually upon looking into it further it is the governor not lowering the CPU clock when sleeping

maybe calibrate solves to you
Tried twice.
The best fix is this:
Download SetCPU and change governor to hotplug.

Two questions:
1) How did you identify that it was a governor issue?
2) Why would changing the governor to hotplug fix the issue?

GB Kernel + Battery Tweaks = Great Battery Life

what Gb kernel and battery mods are recommended for a great battery life?

GB kernel I recommend you this, for battery tweaks you can add these lines to your build.prop:
wifi.supplicant_scan_interval=180
pm.sleep_mode=1
ro.ril.disable.power.collapse=0
+1. Xkernel is still the best. So sad development has stopped. AIFK, kernel 3.x will never work on stock GB so I think I'll stick with this one

You want battery life like this

Use this
But at your own risk. It will probably harm your device.
There is no such thing as which is the best Kernel, Rom or what ever for battery life, every person uses their phone diffrently so diffrent kernels will suit diffrent people.

Try a different kernel. I use Boeffla Kernel, and I can get up to 1600MHz.

Well frequency couldn't be reduced by under volting.. can it??
You have to reduce the frequency and that is called under clocking...

Best custom rom for battery life

hey, what is the best rom to get the most battery out of this phone ? I'm currently on Crdroid and battery is draining relatively fast.
Battery consumption depends on the type of use your phone (use Wi-Fi, 4G data, AAA class games, etc.)
In the rom section, there is always an inverse ratio between the features and default installed apps and battery consumption. Do you want a minimal ROM with good battery consumption, or a ROM with a lot of personalization and features but normal consumption?
I use Pixel Experience (not plus version). 1 percent in 5-6 hours for idle mode. 8-9 hours SOT if use wifi, 7-8 SOT if use 4G, 5-6 if game CoD mobile.
