[Q] LG L9 P769 Bootloader not Unlocking - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

I'm having issues unlocking an Optimus L9. I have the drivers set up along with ADB and have the phone Rooted.
When I try to use "dab reboot oem-unlock" or anything else, the phone simply doesn't reboot into the unlock confirmation screen. All it does is a normal reboot. Same thing happens when I try to use any type of tool such as Rom Toolkit. What can I do about this?

I have the same. I tried on three different computers and nothing

Ugh... me too. I'm trying to follow the video tutorial and let the phone sit for two hours after installing the euro kdz. Maybe I'll try using my Linux Mint OS to run the adb command.

Lady, let us know how it goes. I won't have a chance to work on it until I have a method that works since it's a friend's phone.

Cannot unlock bootloader P769 -open euro v.20f fails

When I try to flash the open europe v20f.kdz, the UpTestEX_mod2_marwin application tells me that there's a connection problem between the computer and the phone. Correction, the open euro version is v20b.kdz and I have tried multiple usb ports as root with no success, always ending in the same message.

I renamed the file to V20D_oo.kdz and get the same error. Not sure if I'm using the correct phone mode (emergency and DIAG both seem to fail). Is it the LG phone update sw that's failing, is it the phone settings that are wrong (LG software mode), or am I missing something?

Your bootload is locked? What is your last firmware version?
If you're on JB, offline flash may not work in S/W update mode. You need to turn on your phone, put it in LG software mode and select DIAG mode instead of EMERGENCY in flash tool.
If your phone cannot boot up, try this 2 options
1. Load lg mobile support tool from lg website and boot your phone to S/W update mode select recover phone then wait about an hour or two. (if this tool cannot recover your phone maybe it hardware problem)
or
2. Flash ICS x-loader / u-boot with Lelus fastboot at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292828. After that try to flash your phone by offline method again in S/W update mode.

I flashed lelus firmware correction and it worked. Then, I flashed the T-Mo V20D_00 to get me back to square 1. The phone is rooted and unlocked, but when I run the fastboot flash, I can't figure out the correct path to the .img saved on the external SD and when I try to use the tool, it tells me there is a communication problem...confused.

Your phone bootloader is lock or unlock? You said that you try to flash V20B to unlock bootloader so I assume that your bootloader is lock. If so you cannot flash recovery in fastboot. You need to use offline flash V20B/V20C kdz and try to unlock bootloader first.
If you flash ICS u-boot / x-loader successfully, you should able to offline flash kdz pass that error.

Gave it a shot
I reinstalled lelu's ICS uboot...ect and tried to offline flash both V20D_DEODEX.kdz and V20B_00.kdz; continue to get the following msg:
Problem with communication between the cell phone and PC
Please disconnect the cable from your cell phonein order and remove and connect the battery.
Power on your cell phone and press the retart button to resume update.

Got the files on a google search for V20 open europe, and I've flashed the V20F successfully at least once before. Do you know of any reputable links for this download?

kdz filename should be in format V20B_00.kdz, all capital characters. You should download kdz file from LG server or thread in L9 general forum and make sure that it's md5 is matched.
For offline flash DIAG mode is used only when you can turn you phone on. EMERGENCY is used when your phone is in S/W update mode. After you flash ICS x-loader/uboot, your computer still cannot detect your phone in s/w update mode?
If all don't work, I recommend you to use LG mobile support tool to recover your phone.

Nothing has changed with the switch from the desktop to the laptop. Computer still recognizes the device is connected but the R&D Test Tool cannot see it connected; both remote server and Tool running as administrator.Laptop is 32 bit, desktop is 64. Ive even tried the different modes with failure on each. I'm going to attempt to flash V20F_00 again and determine whether it is a software problem with the .kdz or I might possibly have to master reset the device.

Just want to make sure that you do recover your phone in S/W update mode. Not LG Software mode.
You can enter S/W update mode by
- Power off your phone
- Remove battery
- Hold down Vol+ while connect usb cable, wait about 5 sec. S/W update screen will show up

Stuck on LG logo -- HELP!!!

I created a faulty boot.img file for partition mtd0 and flashed it. Now I'm stuck on the LG logo screen. I have a backup of the original boot image. But how do I reflash it? I can't access from adb shell obviously... Please help. My phone is an LG Optimus S LS670. I appreciate any help.
Take a look on [ROMS] Original LG Firmware list but instead of P500 for search use link for LS670 (....ezlooks_model_list.jsp?model=LS670) and continue by next steps. It should works.
Thank you for your timely response. I've done what you said but the links appear to be invalid. I made the links below according to this: csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/ezlooks_model_list.jsp?model=LS670.
Code:
csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LS670/ASPRCQ/V10a_00/V10A_00.kdz
csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LS670/ASPRPP/V10a_00/V10A_00.kdz
Do I have something wrong here? These appear to be the only possible links. I'm also a bit skeptical of this working. I'll try anything of course. But I say that because windows doesn't seem to recognize the USB device without error. I did, however, find the source code for the LS670. You go here: lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource.jsp and search "LGLS670". Is this for the firmware or just Froyo Launcher? I'm also wondering how, after I compile it, I convert it to the kdz filetype (or is it just a matter of changing the extension?).
Take a look on Preferences => Information about phone => version of software. What version is there? Maybe is different like P500 have (V10x).

I can't do that. The phone won't boot up at all. This is all the information I can get because it's on the back of the phone inside the battery casing: model, fcc id, meid dec, meid hex, s/n, and the fact that it was made in Korea (yay?). There is also a little thing in the corner that is labeled V00E. Maybe that's it?
Update: I checked on my brother's phone which is the same as mine.
Code:
Model: LS670
Android Version: 2.2.1
Baseband Version: LS670MV9_6040
Kernel Version: 2.6.32.9 [email protected] #2
Build Number: FRG83
SW Version: LS670ZV9
OK, PM me S/N, I can find right, last KDZ file for your device by this number. You can find it on back under battery.
S/n: 011kpxv0311258
So, you can dwnl: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/csmg/b2c/client/auth_model_check2.jsp?esn=A00000284EEC0A
anyway, now I know, why we weren't be able to download kdz - because it simply doesn't exist and it have absolutely different name.... http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGLS670/ASPRCQ/LS670ZV9_20/LS670ZV9_20.S9_20.P60671.cab
I will take a look, how to use cab's...
//Edit:
Ok, I'm not sure with it, but it should work also with .cab in KDZ_FW_UP. Unfortunately I can't test it....
You need KDZ_FW_UPD_EN. Get the stock ROM for your model and boot it into emergency mode. from KDZ select 3gqct then emergency mode and select the patth to your .kdz file. click Launch software update and let it run its course.

I downloaded the cab file. You have to change the extension to "kdz" and then when you launch KDZ_FW_UP, the mode has to be set to CDMA. It will successfully extract but it doesn't find my phone.

Just to let people know. Not sure if it'd work without the recovery screen or not. I never tried it ironically, haha. Thank you guys.
No luck
Currently my phone boots to either the LG splash on normal boot or black screen when going into recovery mode.

Its better to spend 35$ than wasting months on a brick.

You probably just have a bad driver. I would uninstall all the drivers for the phone. In device manager, you'll find them in three sections: adb interface, usb, and modem. Then reinstall them from LG mobile update without your phone plugged in. Hope all goes well.
If it doesn't go well, go to sprint and tell them it messed up when you were accepting an OTA update. Or just pay $35...
help for you
Hi
If you haven't solved yet your problem.
I had the same problem and i tried the same prg like they recommended you but with no luck
so here what you can do:
1. you download the update program from lg's official site, and it will flash your phone with the official firmware
or
2 you reset your phone like this:
- remove battery, put it back
- press home+volume_down+power_off and count slow until ten, its better then actually wait cuz you will let go before 10 sec believe me )
but you loose everything on the phone memory i hope you have a backup.

I just used KDZ to bring up my phone back to life, just follow the instructions mentioned while using KDZ and your problems would be solved. Just use the latest v10E ( In India ) or something.

Keep in mind that you should never unplug the usb while updating the firmware using KDZ...Now your phone is back running so enjoy that....Try installing custom recovery using adb..That works flawlessly for everyone...Happy rooting..

Custom recovery is only required if u intend to use Custom ROM on your phone. That is customised OS programmed by the developers other than LG. If u want to know about the next step to do that use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038338
You want b able to flash anything without custom recovery.
If you can wait few days you will be able to install custom cloakwork recovery by mik directly from rom manager app, without doing any shell command stuff.
As kaush is going to support our device soon as said by mik.

[SOLVED] Flashing a KDZ fails on H860 using LGUP and LGFlashTool

Hi everyone,
I am not able to flash a "Middle East" KDZ for H860 over my phone which is H860 but with Taiwan Stock ROM. The phone is new; no rooting, no oem unlock, nothing. The current ROM version is 10e and I want to flash the AME KDZ which is basically 10g.
Using the patched version of LGFlashTool v2.0.1.6, I get an error "(S) Failed to Load". Using LGUP v1.14, the phone is recognized as H860, it restarts into download mode and gets to 9% (which is starting to send the KDZ to phone) and then it give an error msg:
Error: Error Code = 0x81000304
CBasicFlash::_func_LoadGPTF - ErrorCode:8224
I am working on a Windows 10 PC with all the drivers installed and I can access the phone through ADB, Fastboot, LG Bridge, with no issues. The only issue is that I am not able to flash the KDZ although it is for the same model H860.
I have tried a different PC and a re-downloaded the KDZ directly from LG's website. Same issues.
PS: In LGUP, I tried: Refurbish and Upgrade options.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
UPDATE: I tried flashing a Singapore KDZ for H860 as well and it gave the same errors.
This forum is not as useful as it used to be once upon a time. Disappointed.
Try with LG support tool from LG
Please update me with this case. I have twn vrsion also bought from one of the online shop in dubai and i want to flash also the uae kdz. thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. The LG support tool does not work with my version of LG G5 (I am not sure if it works with any G5 at all), it says that I need to use LG Bridge instead because LG Support Tools does not support my phone.
However, I tried the "Recovery" option in LG bridge, but it checks the IMEI and decides that my phone needs the latest Taiwan rom instead of what I want (which is UAE).

I already got the the newest version of LG UP. The phone is recognized, but it does not proceed with the upgrade properly.
This is how it was solved:
I believe that the issue was with the LG UP Store version. This is what I did:
1. Installed LG UP LAB v1.1.
2. Installed the H850DLL msi file.
3. Created a folder named C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\H860
4. Copied the H850.DLL file from C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model\H850 to the new folder
5. Renamed the file LGUP_H850.DLL to LGUP_H860.DLL
6. Everything went on smoothly !!
The only error I get now is at startup "current version is not available for user. can't find matched cust for nt-code mcc/mnc subset" which I have not dug into but it does not bother me.
By the way @engineer000, most of the online stores in UAE suck!!

Where did you bought yours? I bought from Yallashop.
Where are you seeing that error? As your phone startup? How about using the proper DLL on the guide and flash it again?
it seems to be related to different customizations. i don't know if flashing tW version will stop it. but this stopped me from flashing a AE fw

You can eliminate the error by reflash the phone with LG bridge (can download officially from LG). In "Software update" tab, there's "Update error recovery" which will automatically download the official firmware for your G5 and of course, the annoying startup error message will go away.

I am afraid that it might download the software based on the IMEI and then my phone will be back to Taiwan software instead of the AME currently installed.

LG L65 D280n no IMEI no baseband

Hello,
I'm here trying to get help to solve a LG L65 D280n with the null IMEI problem.
I'm hopping there's no problem with the hardware as it was working ok and didn't fall or something else. It just got that way and it was nw unlocked some months ago.
Well, I've 1srt search and follow many youtube videos and read a lot of threads.
At 1srt I've tried to use official software form LG. LG mobile tool and drivers.
I download and install them everything goes well, phone is detected and after usb connection the firmware download started.
Problem was, after the point that it decompress the firmware and it was supposed to start copying it to the phone, the LG app just hangs with the windows error as it stops responding.
Using a machine with Win7 Pro x64.
From this saved the LG kdz file and the dll file that was downloaded.
I can't get another because the links from:
http://redirect.viglink.com/?format...g-phone-firmware.com/firmwar...-Tutti-50.html
are broken to the Europe/Portuguese version A or B of this phone that was original from MEO/TMN
Then I've tried another LG tool, older I believe. It requires qualcomm software, visual c++ etc.
All went well until I've selected a com port at the QPST configuration and then at the RF NV manager were I would try to write the IMEI it fails.
I select the COM port I've added before at the QPST configuration app but when I select the READ from phone option it just returns error ... DM command 19-24.
I was hopping to flash the modem only or to write the IMEI manually but its getting hard to solve the communication problem even after trying in different computer and with 3 version of drivers and software.
Recovery mode only shows if I wanna do factory reset, I did.
Can someone help?
Tried also EFS Professional now using Qualcomm NV tools, I can select the phone COM port but if I try to connect to it with 000000 Send SPC option on, It returns error, unable to send SPC to the phone.
