Hello!
I have a problem with my Jiayu G3, I rooted it using Bin4ry's method, and used CWM to flash Android 4.1.2 , all was finished well, but whenever I tried to powe the phone , it always went into a boot loop. I read somewhere to try and flash Lewa Recovery using CWM, and now the G3 won't even boot into CWM and Android.
Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

I think you will have to flash a new rom using mtk sp flash tool. You may have to try several versions before one works. Jiayu.es (in Spanish) should have all the files you need. Or, hopefully you made a backup and can just reflash cwm recovery and restore.

The stock recovery what you have got.
If you press the home button, you can see the menu.
If you want to install a custom recovery, you can use my ported CWM, which works. This recovery is based on bgcngm ZTE V970 recovery, using his mtktools.

Red triangle dead android still appears even with your cwm
Hello Cappa. I too have rooted my Lenovo A390 using framaroot. and installed ROM Manager. Initially, ROM manager complained there is no clockworkmod recovery for my device model. I then flashed your clockworkmod recovery using spflashtool. Successful and ROM Manager finally detcted my clockworkmod too as version 5.x.x.x.. But, then when i tried to backup my current ROM, phone reboots and tries to enter recovery mode. But, then the dead android killed by a red triangle still appears. Help me!!!! Somewhere i read that it is the stock recovery icon and the phone should still be able to enter recovery mode using volume up, down buttons. Is it true. Somewhere, I read that TWRP must be used instead, because LENOVO A390 does not have cutom recovery. What should I do next? Suggest. If TWRP should be installed, I would wish to remove CWM first. Is it possible to remove CWM, after it has been flashed?
Sorry for lots of questions.
Will be grateful for your help.
Regards

There can be many reasons for not having the CWM.
You mentioned that you could flash the CWM.
I have not used ROM manager for MTK platform - I don't know if it is compatible with it. I used Mobileuncletools instead: you can change recovery with this program (can be downloaded from PlayStore - free app)
Right after you change the recovery from stock to CWM, then you have to enter into it.
And then make a backup directly from CWM.
This is my suggestion.
Also, I would recommend that run the chinese application remover, right after entering the CWM.
The reason why I suggest it that the stock rom can contain patches, which rewrite all the modified recovery to stock.
can i flash twrp recovery with same scatter file to remove cwm
One more question. I found on several forums that TWRP recovery works for Lenovo A390 and can be flashed using SPFlashtool. Will flashing the TWRP recovery overwrite the CWM recovery, if I use the same scatter file. I guess the scatter file provides the start and end address for flashing into ROM.

Hello,
I visited TWRP site as well as CWM recovery site. Niether of them supports Lenovo_A390_ROW, not listed. I guess coz the brand is new to the market. ROM Manager too complains that the phone model is not supported and I should wait until an official recovery from CWM is available. However, I googled and got one CWM recovery by cappa for Lenovo_A390 but got the dead android triangle. Then, I googled and got a TWRP recovery for Lenovo_A390_Row and flashed this one too (some friends suggested flashing with same scatter file overwrite the previous CWM). But, I still get the dead andorid with triangle icon. What is wrong? I guess the recovery images that I am flashing are not correct. Do you have the correct TWRP recovery image for Lenovo_A390_ROW?
How can I use SPflashtool and make the downloaded cwm 6.012 a scatter file?

I downloaded SPflashtool and the CWM recovery image. It says I need a scatter file and it couldn't continue. How do I make that CWM recovery image a scatter file to flash and how do you flash that into the phone using SPflasher? Do I need ROM Manager for that?
After installing a custom rom, my phone got bricked. Now I dont have any ideas how to do it. I even made a backup before installing a custom rom through CWM. But I cannot even boot into CWM because of the bootloop. Please guys. I need help.

Just use One touch upgrade. Connect your phone to your computer and then start the upgrade. Your devices will have an hard- reset, and the cwm will be deleted.
Hi everyone, please I need help with my umi x2, I had cwm installed and had created all my backups successfully, I then changed my recovery to carliv touch recovery without issues.
I now tried to go back to normal cwm but carliv recovery wouldn't change. I was fustrated and mistakenly flashed a twrp recovery which wasn't for my phone and now I can't go back to cwm or carliv touch recovery which means I can't boot back into recovery. Each time I try to boot into recovery, it the phone hangs on the boot screen then after that it restarts and loads the android os to the home screen.
Any help on how to bout back to cwm will be most appreciated.
Thanks

Friend Install TWRP is more simple, and stable, CMW is good, but TWRP is better, this is my opinion
Look how to flash ur stockrom and make it. After that make the steps for the Cwm recovery and I can restore ur nandroid.

Or...
or install the Stock ROM Using a compatible Flasher (as well as Odin is the Flasher compatible with Samsung) and after that install A Recovery (Recommend the TWRP)
Please can you give me a link for twrp for UMI X2, I can't seem to be able to find it. Thanks for the effort.

I recently flashed my Lenovo P780 which was running 4.4.2 to MIUI V5 4.8.27 ROM using the guideline mentioned in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/len...iui-v5-4-6-2-jb-4-2-lenovo-p780-dual-t2795361
I also used the recovery image mentioned this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/help/rooting-tutorial-kitkat-t2835605 using mobileuncle.
I followed every step mentioned in the thread and flashed the rom. Now my device is booting but is stuck at boot. All I can see is MI.com logo. It is stuck like this for more than 30 mins.
I am unable to go back to recovery mode also. I don't know what to do. Please someone help!!
Ok. I solved the issue. Since I flashed the ROM when my Lenovo was running stock kitkat 4.4.2, the MIUI was stuck in bootloop.
What I did was I reflashed my P780 with LIFE ROM V7 using Flashtool. Then I flashed MIUI using TWRP. Now it works fine.

Yes, I also did the same thing. Life ROM is Savior with TWRP recovery built in. Whenever, I had a wrong flash and my mobile is dead, I returned to this by flashing with SP Tools, boot straight into TWRP and then restored my previous working ROM or tried flashing another ROM.
Welcome to MIUI world. I am sure you will enjoy this ROM. Go for OTA update to 4.8.30 which worked like breeze for me. Try the Android V5 Dark theme. You will love it.

Oh! I was going to ask whether OTA update to 4.8.30 was safe. Thanks for letting me know.
My lenovo softbricked after I tried to OTA update MIUI 4.8.27. Then, as you guys said, I installed Life Rom V7 and when I tried installing either MIUI 4.6 and 4.8.27 through TWRP, Roms got installed without any boot issue but I couldn't open any of the apps, even system apps like Dialer and File Explorer. Any suggestions? I would really love to go back to MIUI. May be there is a way to repack it and install through Flashtool?

Soooo... MIUI is for Jelly Bean not for KITKAT.
DO NOT FLASH OVER KITKAT.
IF YOU FLASH OVER KITKAT YOU WILL HAVE ALOT OF PROBLEMS LIKE: YOUR SD CARD WILL NOT WORK(THIS IS THE SMALLEST PROBLEM), BOOTLOOP,BOOTLOADER CORUPTED, ETC ETC.
SO BE WARNED...
If you want to test MIUI do this:
1. Flash stock s124 ROM;
2. Download Framaroot and root your phone;
3. Install Mobileuncle Tools;
4. Get TWRP 2.6.3.0 no other;
5. Flash TWRP with Mobileuncle Tools;
6. Download MIUI and put it in your phone SD Card;
7. Install from market Reboot Manager, give root right and reboot to recovery;
8. From SD Card flash MIUI wipe cache dalvik etc etc;
9. reboot and voila MIUI.
10 Good Luck.
