So basically you created a thread for no reason. Cable damaged by the touchscreen sensor. Touchscreen does not work. End of story.

the cable is the reason??
the breaded cable are four or five lines.and they are connected to metal surface(i think they are GND)~

ok and the cable that you have circled, the tip of that goes to the touchscreen/digitizer. you said it yourself, "my touch screen is not work......" That's a clear indication that you should look at threads about the digitizer. What are people doing? They are replacing the digitizer and/or the cable. So what's the problem? Go buy a replacement cable. Why did you create a thread when you already know what your problem is, what the effect of the problem is, have a handful of threads discussing your problem already in existence that you refused to/were too lazy to read/go look for, and have various sites such as ebay at your disposal to fix your problem?

You don't know that. It might look like it but I'm sure it actually isn't.
What is the point on having that many pins where all of them connect to GND?
If that piece had no function, they wouldn't even put it in, don't you think?

or something about Static conducting~
i just want to know they are obligatory?
it is feasible for weld another wire to the back of screen ?
if they are obligatory and can not be repaired , i will buy a cable~ i do't want to pay too much money ,the phone worth just ¥300 and i have pay ¥200+ to rpair it .

But, most probably you can't get a new main board from ebay. I doubt even HTC has them. Changing a new main board is essentially like changing the whole phone, no?
Hello if your mainboard has gone wrong send it to HTC. The mainboard on my HD packed up I got in touch with HTC UK http://www.htc.com/uk/ (go to support and phone them up) they picked the phone up a week ago Tuesday tested the phone/fitted a new mainboard and sent it back, got it back last Wednesday. Fixed for free, very polite and very helpful

the problem is that my device felt to the ground after 2 months :S Then i got my screen repaired but not by htc since it is not warranty. The device still resets every now and then, so i try to fix it myself... that's why i need these spare parts... so suggestions still welcome!
nobody?
The only possible place to get a new mainboard will be htc.com. Also why a gps cable when the touch has built in gps. jez

I'll get it tomorrow and try it later, let you know if it fits, i know for sure about te connectors, but it is 3cm longer, so should see if you can put the 3cm anywhere under the mainboard.

xboxexpert posted a tutorial for this on a nook color here . Looks easy enough and the same method should apply.
Hmmm.. interesting.. only wished someone would have tried previously to know if it'd fit inside the battery cover...
After looking at the iFixIt teardown for the Atrix I'm not thinking this would be a straight forward process.

Boards aren't my strong point but it looks as though the +/- may be under the usb connector housing.

Need a better shot, but it looks like you can still hit the resistor between the two ground posts. Going to need some thin wire though.
I am curious to know if anyone will attempt this.

Don't think I'm going to sacrifice my Atrix to the hardware mod gods. Enjoying it too much and not terribly interested in dropping the money to replace it if it doesn't work out.
I don't know if I will be doing the mod, but these are some of the tips I would follow if i decided to. If I do it I'll post pictures..
1st:
Be sure to use the Palm Pixi's back cover with the smaller circuit board - this one.

2nd:
You might wanna consider buying this case since its thicker and you can dig a little bit if the circuit doesn't fit the standard battery door.

I'm sure there's an easy (+) pin you can solder to - so far i haven't found one, but many people cut a usb plug to fit inside the usb female socket and route the cables somehow (Watch the first video below). You have to remove the cut usb in order to use it with computer, also its quite ugly. The best, but very hard way is to solder the (+) wire directly to where the usb socket is soldered to the phone's circuit board .This I'll leave to a jewelry craftsman, I know, with lots of experience. MAKE SHURE YOU KNOW WHICH PIN IS THE POSITIVE!!! For polarity of the palm pixi's circuit boat refer to the first picture.

I know its a bit difficult, but... that's the way it is.
Useful links:
Galaxy S Mod.
First HD2 Mod.
Same mod but with extended battery (Not good looking)
You have probably seen this.
A lot of people forget to do this.
YOU ARE WELCOME!!!
I bought some of the pixi components and will try this out without the requirement of soldering.. I've been thinking.. is there any way to use the leads from the battery as the connection point as opposed to soldering directly to the port? Or is there a voltage regulator that I'd have to go through first...
First, you should try if it's really charging Atrix (batt's percentage going up), because it needs more current than standart phone.
But i'm thinking of modyfing my own, but with less invasive method
I wouldn't take apart my atrix again. I may have killed my first one getting my screen out. Those ribbon cables are a pain, and well, you might not need to remove the flex cables (the black flat ones), but if you do, you are most times pulling up the temp sensor too, and that thing never goes back!!
Just make sure you are good at what you do
Why not solder the the inductive piece to a chunk of mini usb cable first ? Completely non invasive and you'll be able to prove it works before you solder to the phone.
That was what I was considering. Unfortunate that the variances for the attrix are so tight.

If you're going to do that, you may as well just buy one that's already made.
I meant to do that as proof of concept. If it charger, take it apart and hide it under the battery cover.
Does anyone tried the Palm inductive charger with Atrix? Does it really work?
I just got mine in - will try it soon.
Let me ask you guys this...
1) Whats the point of all this?
Really? What is the point? The cool form factor? Bragging rights? It seems like
a big inconvenience for me, especially when you will need to take your charger somewhere.
Anyways, seems like a lot of work for just the convenience of not plugging in a mini usb cable.
Anyways, good luck and I hope you guys have fun
Perhaps you are right about it.
But whats the point in buying a lapdock or media dock when you can just get a laptop? What's the point in rooting or unlocking your phone? You could easily just leave it stock and most of the functions will work just fine.
Call it a hobby or challenge or a convenience or whatever. I made this thread merely asking for technical help. Not snide commentary that is counter productive.
Ok, im trying to figure out why this phone wont charge or connect to pc via usb. I have done testing on the port, and it appears the port is good. and it seems to be making good contact with the board. I have posted pics of the port and the area that connects to the board. I have checked the continuity from a cut usb cable i have, plugged it in port and have good continuity across all the pins of the port. My question is, are the pads on the other side of the pcb points for the usb port? becuase i have no continuity on any of the points with any pin in the cable. the phone turns on, i bought a brand new battery and screen for the phone, i got it for free from someone and it was completely shattered. I have about 75 dollars invested in it. It works perfectly, completely virgin no root or unlocked bootloader. Running the latest update.
I also posted a pic of the jtag pads, there is no continuity on any of those either to the USB. Nor any other pad on the board anywhere. And i think thats odd, there should be one somewhere.
Sorry if i posted this in the wrong area, mods can move it if they need to.

Oh yea, ive done all the obvious things to try and figure it out. When i got it, they said it just quit charging, so i figured it was the battery, so i bought a brand new battery, which came charged, and a new screen, since it was shattered. It turns on, works perfectly, but it will no charge or connect to pc. ive tried 4 or 5 different cables, and ive wiggled and bent and pushed and pulled and everything else on them to try and get a sign of connectivity. So far ive come up with nothing.. This appears to be a common problem with this model, i guess i should have researched it more before i spent so much on parts for it.
Maybe the circuit board is fried.

As in the port lost connection to the board/broke? or this same situation, where it just quit working for no reason? The port is working as it should, and making good connection with the board. I'm stumped. If the port was broken, i could replace the port, no problem, but im 100% positive the port is not the issue here.

From my understanding, when u reversed the polarity it will damage the charging circuit like IC or diode...
If it still can be turned on means it a minor damage but if it cant be turn on at all then the mobo is effected...
Electronics are very very sensitive...

That looks like a hardware issue. It could be a loose ribbon cable to the display. That would require a teardown to check and fix. If your tablet is still under warranty that would be the place to start.

I was able to open the backside and i reseated the LCD cable that runs to the board connector near the camera, but it still does the same thing.
Could it be possible that the opposite end of the ribbon cable is disconnected? i've never seen an android tablet that has 2 connectors for the display
