Reinstall VVM to a custom rom?? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Hello I am currently running the hyperdrive 9.1 rom that I love! The only thing is I would really like to have my Verizon Visual Voice Mail app. I came from the Jelly Beans 6 rom that had it and was wondering if there was an apk for the app separately or for all the Verizon apps? I still have an old Verizon apps zip file from when I had my S3 that I tried to install just for the heck of it and it doesn't work. Any info and help on this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Sorry meant to post in the general section... tried to delete but couldn't figure it out.

Just download a stock rom and extract it from there. I know either cleanrom hellsrom or bonestock has a zip with all the removed stock apps.

Put into system/app/ using a file manger.
Reply when downloaded so I can delete it from my account.

Hi Guys!
Since the jflte family of devices is almost exactly the same I thought I would post my I9505 (jflte) Rom here for you as well!
It has been tested by jfltetmo and jfltecan users and is confirmed working!
To install it, just download the I9505 rom and then flash the appropriate device specific package I created.
Download the rom from this thread
Download the appropriate device specific package
Install CWM or TWRP recovery.
Boot into recovery, install ROM, then install the device specific package then install gapps.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset if coming from another Rom.
Reboot and enjoy!
Your device name might show up as I9505. If you are bothered by it you can edit the file /system/build.prop in the rom .zip package before you flash it.
This does not affect the way the rom functions in any way.
Please let me know if you have successfully installed and running this rom on any of the US variants of the S4. I don't own the device!

Yes that usually pops on a loki issue if im not mistaken. So your steps would be to flash the rom, flash your preferred kernel(i personally like the chronic kernel) then flash your gapps package.

I can't find a support thread for these releases unfortunately data doesn't work on either build. All the other junk ass aosp builds have data. I would like to achive data or at least find a support thread.

[Q] Help Need Calendar back

hi guys,
so rooted my Galaxy S4, with Verizon, so thrilled about that, however was going so fast that I deleted the calendar that comes with the phone.
I love that calendar and want it back, donnt like google calendar, so not an option, just want that calendar back, I have tried everything even factory reset, but calendar does not come back.
I need to know how to re downloaded or get it back
please help me : -(
Factory reset should have brought it back - try to just load a stock image from the original Rooting thread - have you tried that?
You referring to the Samsung Stock Calendar?

Root your device again > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798
And I think this is the default calendar. You can try to install it but don't know if it will work. You may have to root and place it in the /system/app/ directory.

you could try to flash the stock galaxy s4 firmware and then root it afterwards. no need for data wipe but a dalvik cache and cache wipe is recommended. use odin and flash the firmware. then root afterwards. you should now have the calendar app back.

Im a bit afraid to try triangle away as the I545 wasnt listed under supported devices - but who knows..

You're able to download the firmware from the samsung site http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/

I too would greatly appreciate a PM regarding doing a full backup of my stock Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 rom before I root it.
I plan on rooting the phone and installing a couple new roms to try them out and would really appreciate some direction!

HELP! URGENT: Need Dialer Storage APK!

I just got my new Galaxy S4, and I'm using Titanium Backup to try and restore my text messages from my old phone. In a totally boneheaded move, I accidentally restored the app from my old Motorola phone and not the data! :crying: Can someone PLEASE upload the "Dialer Storage" APK as soon as humanly possible so that I don't have to do a full factory reset?
Thank you!!!
I found a zip of stock APK's (Here). I assumed that Dialer Storage is SecTelephonyProvider.apk based on Google searches, so I copied and replaced both SecTelephonyProvider.apk and SecTelephonyProvider.odex. The issue still persists, and now I'm getting constant "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped"!
I have booted into recovery and done a complete factory data reset, but it didn't fix the issue - I'm getting constant "Unfortunately, the process com.android.phone has stopped" and "Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped" errors. What the heck have I done and how can I fix this? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!! Thank you so much!
This is for development only. You should post this in Q&A section.

I would try to wipe data, system, cache, and dalvik and reinstall the Rom you are using. More than likely the apk you installed isn't correct for the build base of the room you are using

I take it your in MDK? You could always odin back to stock or flash a new rom and see if that fixes the problem. Sounds like you corrupted the build you are on. TBU can destroy systems if not used properly.

and again you did not read the post he had odin'd. it takes you to stock odin me7 tar.. therefore if he used it, assuming he did since he clearly said he did, then he lost ability to have custom recovery because hes now on me7.. i am not being rude.. just letting him know he cant have custom recovery now.. maybe it will prevent him from posting in the dev thread again at some point asking how to flash custom recovery on me7 lol.

not true either.. only way to go back n forth is to use a custom me7 rom. if you odin stock me7 tar you are on me7 just as if you took the OTA. You can root it, but cant get custom recovery. the very first sentence on the me7 thread warns of this that he used...

You might have more luck with more information on how you got to this point. For instance, did you root your phone and remove the apps? Also where did you download the apps from? If they are APKs you can install them from a file browser. If they are ZIP files you probably need to flash them from your custom recovery. Most downloads include specific instructions on how to install, so I would check there first. If there are no instructions, then I suggest you ask for help in that thread, that is unless someone else hasn't already.
I was rooted but still pretty much stock. I flash back to stock using odin so I could use the isis wallet. Then I upgraded to 4.2.2 and noticed that I no longer had samsung apps. So today I went to Samsung's website and downloaded it. Clicked to install and it trys to install then says application not installed?
Sent from my SCH-I545 using xda premium
Same issue here, bone stock VZW GS4 recently update to 4.3 and factory reset. I downloaded the APK directly from the Samsung Apps site and it shows the same error. I don't really need it for anything but it would still be nice to get it fixed.
