ViperOne AOSP Lockscreen Help - AT&T HTC One (M7)

Finally flashed the ViperOne Rom last night!! I haven't had a lot of time to play around with it yet but I was able to enable the AOSP lockscreen; however, I'm only seeing a lock widget on the right hand side of the bubble. How do I add other shortcuts/widgets to the bubble like text messages, email, Pandora, etc. so it opens right to the app when I slide and unlock? It says Widgets are enabled in the settings but I'm not sure how to add them.

To add widgets, press and hold on the one visible widget near the top: probably a clock. That should expand the widget to full screen. Now swipe left to get to a new blank screen, with a plus in the middle. Click the plus to start adding a new widget. Widgets take a full screen when expanded.
I haven't yet figured out how to add shortcuts; let me know if you did!

[Q] trigger lockscreens

I'm running the latest redux build and without paying close enough attention briefly had a lockscreen with several tiles that went to music messaging etc plus a weather widget. I have not seen it in any screenshot. It went away after a couple of timeouts by itself and I can't find it in any cm or trigger options. I had the stock music player open with an app called free music download also open. Thanks
Are you talking about the 4 tab lockscreen?

There was a single sliding tab with 5-6 icon sized tiles for direct links to various apps right off the lockscreen. There was a weather widget on it too. I've not been able to reproduce it. I have rotary revamp as my lockscreen, it appeared and disappeared within a couple of activations. The icons were similar to live tiles but smaller. It was interesting.

Weather Widget with Manual Refresh Button

Any recommendations for a Weather Widget that has the option of having a manual refresh button on the widget? I'd also like multi-day forecast on the widget, transparent background, and other cool options...but can't seem to find good ones with a way to manually refresh by just clicking a button on the widget.
Beautiful Widgets though it doesn't have the refresh directly on the widget, you can easily reach it be touching the widget
Hd widgets. The best you can get. It's a paid app but its very customizable and will refresh weather on tap

When I tap the widget, it opens the app where you have to hit a refresh button in there. Is there a way to just refresh simply with 1 tap of the widget?
I also couldn't find where you can turn off auto updating, allowing for manual updating only...
I'm not sure why there aren't more weather widgets out there that have a manual refresh on the widget itself, rather than forcing you to open the widget, etc, in order to refresh. I personally don't like auto-updates to be running, but I want a 1-tap method of refreshing the weather info.
Anyway, in case anyone else is looking for the same thing, I did find Palmary Weather Pro that has this functionality. Overall, it's a pretty solid app imo, although it'd be nice to have a few more options within the app to customize things. It'll also be nice to have other app options, because Palmary looks like it hasn't been updated in a while. BeWeather was another one with the manual refresh option, but it is a pretty limited app. So if anyone else finds another one, please post here.
I also found Elecont Weather (or eWeather HD), which can be set to never auto-update, but to manual refresh when just tapping the widget. This app has a lot of widget options and can be customized quite a bit. Getting the widgets looking just right took a while due to all of the various options, but this app seems solid.

Lockscreen Shortcuts

Hi there. I have a galaxy s3 since a mounth or two and i have a contact that i call 20 or 25 time per day.
I want to know if there is a HACK or a MOD to integrate a direct call shortcut to the original lockscreen of the S3.
Thanks
I'm not sure about a hack/mod for the stock lock screen - someone else will hopefully clue you in about that.
Failing that though you could replace the stock lock screen with Widgetlocker which will allow you to add custom shortcuts and widgets (such as a direct dial widget for instance) to the lock screen.

Thanks for your reply. Hope in next Version Samsung will include this option in the stock ROM

I know this is old topic but Samsung did no changes to solve the problem. I wanted to keep original lock screen and be able to launch shortcuts from it, so I wrote an app for it. Application can be mapped with any shortcut, so when you press app icon it works like pressing shortcut icon. Unfortunately there is no possibility to change app icons, so I put launcher icons with different numbers on it.
Application is called Shortcut Launcher. You can download it from Google Play.
And if you don't want to install stuff, you could just add a call contact widget on the homescreen, you would still have to unlock it but it's some steps quicker
You can also use the ROM SlimBean, it has the option to add widgets to the lockscreen

[q] dashclock lockscreen

Hello
I've recently flashed liquidsmooth 4.2.2 onto my samsung galaxy s3 and I'm having a hard time getting my lockscreen the way I like it. Right now I'm using the dashclock widget on my lockscreen and all my notifications appear underneath the time (as shown in the first picture) but I would like my notifications to the right of the time where the settings button would be (picture two)
Could someone please explain to me how I could get my lockscreen to picture two but other than having a email notification a text message one!
Thank you! Any help would be appreciated

it adjusts by the space at the 1st pic its 4*4 at the second 4*2
You mean adjust the order? In the extensions section the left, gray tab allows you to move your extensions up and down. Apart from that, you need a ROM that supports lock screen mods like maximize widgets option. Check your settings menu for a lock screen section. A post like this may also be better suited for the Q&A section in the future, more views and help I mean.

Stock lockscreen clock

Anyway to change or edit not using a third party lock screen app? With root access.

Actually this is pretty simple. With the lockscreen up just slide the clock to the right. A new screen with a big plus sign should appear that you should press. You'll have to use whatever method you normally use to unlock your screen at this point. Add whatever widget you want. Delete the circle clock (just drag it up to the trashcan), and then slide the widget you really want over. QED.
There are some 3rd party apps in the Play Store that will change your lockscreen (Like Go Locker, iOS7 Lockscreen, Widget Locker, Android L LockScreen etc). You generally have to disable your lockscreen by selecting "None" from the Select screen lock setting found in Settings>Lockscreen
I personally don't like these as they have to constantly have to run in the background but they are there
Henri made a great suggestion though, stock Android allows you to customize the lockscreen a lot now by adding widgets and whatnot
