For Transparent NavBar - Decompile Prism.apk
Once decompiled navigate to \Prism\res\drawable-xxhdpi look for home_nav_bg
Just modify the above image to your liking color, transparency etc
i will let you know on the folder later on as i cannot remember of the top of my head what needs to be changed

wait a sec.. where the hell is dat file?
-- ok found it.
is there any way to change height of this nav bar?
Re: [MOD] Force Navigation bar like<br>Nexus 4
I think to change dpi we must modify framework.apk file...

don't. You need to change build.prop or simply use a program like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birdapi.android.dpi

Re: [MOD] Force Navigation bar like<br>Nexus 4
Any of you get messed up screen with this mod? Everything is shifted and there is space to the right. Happens only to stick launcher, keyboard.
Also lg quick memo force closes
Undid the mod and everything is back to normal

What's the point of this mod that eats a bit of my screen? We already have the two soft buttons and the hard menu button. Like S3
Re: [MOD] Force Navigation bar like<br>Nexus 4
thats the point. hard menu button!!

I enabled the soft buttons and you are right! I really miss the extra 1-2 lines of text when browsing the web and half of an icon on my home screen!
lmao. its all preference man. chill. go enjoy your extra line of text an half icon space on your home screen

you must be talking about the stock lg apps such as camera, quick memo and launcher, right?
Re: [MOD] Force Navigation bar like<br>Nexus 4
The reason I got this phone was the 4.7" screen, I don't wanna lose anything of it
this is optional mod. dunno why you complain about it telling us that you don't want to use it. just give it a try, remove or do whatever you want.
I did it as someonq said: hard button. it makes me angry because i hate those hard buttons especially when i was using them for like 3 years on iPhone..
Re: [MOD] Force Navigation bar like<br>Nexus 4
Something about having redundant buttons just irks those with common sense, I guess. All serve an identical purpose and offer no difference whatsoever in sensivity and/or context, so you're basically doing it 'just because'.

Except that clicking sound of home button can wake up wife/girlfriend/children/dog at night. And the button have to be pressed much harder than swipe on touchscreen.
I am terribly sorry that your [finger] is that weak.

HTC IME Keyboard for ICS/Viper rom Stuff

FULLY Functional HTC IME keyboard!!!! No Swype gestures. There are some gestures but not for typing.
Place on sdcard and install it with a file explorer or an app installer.
Enjoy it!
original thread here and of course this is not my work and I do not take credit for this.
I just googled it and installed it and now we have a fully functional HTC IME keyboard. and voice input works too!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1594642
Also, check out Swype beta!
NOTE* For those downloading the build.prop file you need to rename it to just build.prop
rename your old build.prop to build.prop.bak
Copy the new one to your /system folder, reboot!

Decide if the RootBox should get it own theme.
If yes, should it directly be integrated or
only available via theme chooser as a `third-part-theme`.
Please only vote if u use the RootBox urself!

It would be wonderful to have a Rootbox theme. But I would want it to be a separate one to be installed by Theme chooser. Or maybe options via Aroma if its possible ??
Yes I like the idea would be awesome

Yes. A pure vanilla theme. I like the vanilla look. Since root box has the battery background light grey. (Think from para.) I don't like it anymore. For now I use a theme to change it. Love this Rom. That pretended me from changing. And using a theme.

Awesome
It would be really cool if you could provide it via flashable .zip format, that way we can add our own dialer and settings backgrounds, that whole background_holo_light method, where we just re-size our image to 800*480, then save as a .png and push it into zip using 7zip. That would be freakin cool. I miss those small personal customization ability. Thanks for your epic input brother, it makes this rom kiff.

In some cases it may or may not work that way... for example if a single mod is being done on the same apk, then simply flashing one mod after the other is just going to replace the old modded apk with the new one
For example: If one framework-res.apk has only Ripple effect enabled, then flashing another framework-res.apk with "weather on lockscreen" will cause losing of ripple effect

I will try to bake all that in my ROM (if I get some free time )

Sorry for OT: Did any of your try ripple effect on lock screen... for me whenever I enable it, my lock screen loses all its color and contrast; but still the "ripple" works.... and if I disable it, it becomes ok again... anyone else noticed this??

But I think the folks at Ace and S3 Mini section found a fix for this... I remember seeing a screenshot of an Ace running JB with ripple effects (without that bug) in a thread somewhere in the xda forums.. I did ask them how they did it but no one bothered to reply...

The ripple effect has a white shadow image imposed on the lockscreen in order for you to be able to see the ripple effect. Without that the ripple effect won't be visible. So it is not a bug really, but it does wash out the lockscreen somewhat and is quite noticeable if you have a transparent status bar. The ink effect doesn't seem to do this tho so not sure why.

in the stock one it shows:

<bool name="config_isWaterRippleLightEnabled">false</bool>
wonder if that makes a difference.. not tried it myself but just an idea that maybe...

So that means there is another way to enable Ripple Effect - in which that "color loss problem" is not seen...
I wonder, would it be possible to get the "updated" Ripple effect - the one S4.. maybe some kind of smali editing maybe?

you could always try to ask whoever did the theme if they could supply the icons
But it will be much easier if the icons were stored in the same folder as wallpapers. And I don't know who did the theme
