That would be a battery killer as the digitizer would have to be always on, so no sleep ability.

The feature is available on Nokia Lumina, as well as, the new LG G2. Moreover, many kernel developers of the HTC One have had success at incorporating the feature. The depletion on the battery is very negligible to none. Personally, I have used the feature on the HTC One for many months prior to the Sony Ultra, and did not notice any "battery killer" effect.
Looking forward to our developers incorporating this great feature.

I already have this feature on my sony xperia z ultra. Except I don't tap twice. I just tap once on a certain area of the screen.

So are you going to do the modification or are you just here to naysay?

Hi, gosh, that's a great app.
However, I cannot find the setting for tab on the screen to wake.
The app mostly relies on proximity and motion sensor to wake phone.

Can Iseeyou be a good replacer of SmartStay for AOSP ROM?

Hi,
I'm thinking about to come back to an AOSP ROM but I need SmartStay features...can the new app ISeeYou be a good replacement on AOSP ROM? Anyone is using it (PRO version) on aosp? thanks
I know this might sound stupid but have you thought about just creating a widget to lock screen on instead, seems a much better use of battery resources imho, but then I have a real thing about all of Samsungs novelty apps,, so I am biased! Who can watch a video and do other things at the same time?! But hey, that's just me!

No no, I agree with you for the video features but during work it's very usefull for me to use smartstay features...Otherwise, I never thought about this solution, I'm thinking about of setting screen timeout on 5m and even creating a widget to lock screen, is it your way?

Yeah, I just use widgetsoid from the market, what it does is lock screen up to the max timeout, 1hr? So even if you forget to turn off I think it will turn off after 1 hour, and it works even in the dark, .......Samsung

I just installed this on my S3 running CM 10.
It does not work at all. It actually makes it so the screen never turns off.
I'm also using Widget Locker which also has a screen timeout function, and I've tried it with that disabled and enabled.
For reading long articles and playing WordsWith Friends, I would love to gain this feature back.
Any help or tips would be preferred.

You mean unlocking the device with double tap? The device's touchscreen sensor will need to be on all the time, but the display off. But I'm sure there are many apps do that at play store

It is kernel-depends function!

That app use proximity sensor?, i mean tap on screen like Tablet Z
Kernel dependent! Framework needs moding to make it compatible! Use the google play apps!

Problems with double tap

I can not change the double tap feature to anything other than the screen that shows screen brightness and volume control. It allows me to select other options in the settings menu just will not apply them once I've left and tried the new setting I have chosen. I have tried resetting the gear, no luck. Anyone else having this problem?

I love it I had the gear 1/gear 2 now this it works great for me music is loud vibration is very strong I love text/calling ect . and yourself
It's pretty sweet. I used it today at the gym by itself and walking the dog. Made calls and texts. Answered emails, music. I kept holding off each time they released a new one. Really thought about the fit or neo. But you like this much better than the others? I'm 6'5. 230 and I feel it's big on me. Has to look huge on smaller people.

Double tap settings changes apply to the home button. That's what you mean right? The display settings it sounds like you're describing come up when you double tap the screen with two fingers. That can't be changed as of right now.
That's it! Thank you so much. I was double tapping screen.

I was wondering if there is a mod that allows you to tap the home button instead of pressing it. similar to virtual home jailbreak mod for iphone found here:

Here we are guys! Finally there is an app which allow to tap the home button instead of pressing it! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jamworks.easyhome
Yes its quite similar to the tap to unlock feature found on the new nexus phones. But the downside to this app is that this doesnt work if u r using fingerprint unlock, which i use all the time.
+1. i am using fingerprint unlock too
Same, giving up the fingerprint unlock is something I don't want to do...
Use this app. Pretty accurate for me,don't know why people gave it low rating.
