I am living in China and bought a Samsung Galaxy S2 the other day, I was looking to root it and install a custom ROM as everything on it right now is Chinese stuff. The place I bought it from said it was a valid phone but that this version has no internal memory, It has a space for a MicroSD card instead, I've been looking online and have found no other people talking about a Galaxy S2 phone without internal memory..
As well when I go to 'Settings - About Phone' there is no listing of what kernel it is using so I have no idea which one to use to try and root the phone.
Any thoughts or was I just sold a fake phone?
Just noticed my phone says it has Android 4.1.0... 4.1 is not out yet correct? Guessing this is a bad sign...
daaaang.. 4.1? guess you were trolled? :/ hope you didn't buy it with the original s2's price
Total fake phone, sorry
Hey Guys,
I have the Galaxy S3 International edition, which is the (GT-I9300) and just today I received the new android update. I know you guys did too.
When it was SUCCESSFULLY updated, it was kinda slow to start, but it worked fine. After it was done booting. I opened the images and I found all the music, photos, and videos of the SD card has been erased. When I checked the SD card in the settings it says TOTAL Memory: 7.8MB.. How is that possible I have 16G! How did 16G turn to only 7.8MB...
I said OK, let me do a recover and try to fix this. When I put the S3 on the computer. It says driver failed. Both my computers cannot find the MTP of the phone. What did this new update do?.. It completely killed my phone.
Please help me, I want all my erased stuff back and most important the 16G back on the SD card.
Is anyone else having this Problem?
Hi, I have recently flashed an Ace GT-S5839i with Ace-i-Sure ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258319 and so far love it, the only problem I have is accessing the SD card.
When the phone boots it says it is scanning, however within Phone Storage it is all greyed out and cannot be mounted. I can access it through recovery, and tried putting it in a Galaxy S3 and formatting to see if that would sort it but no joy.
Is there anything obvious I could have missed, or need to add/configure for Aroma to see it? I can get another card to try but as it shows up on the S3 and in recovery I assumed the card itself is fine.
Thanks for any help :highfive:
Hello everyone im new here...
I have been at it for hours, and i have finally managed to root my tablet. Its a samsung galaxy tab 3.7.0 wifi only with 8GB of internal storage, most of which is taken up by system memory. Its model is the SM-T210. I have a few questions and i would be very grateful if you could answer them...
1) How can i move apps to my sd card?its a 16gb sandisk...i have already tried folder mount, apps 2 sd and APPMGR 111, but they are either not compatible for my device or dont work/let me install them?
2)ive rooted my tablet...now what do you reccommend i do?
Thanks everyone, in advance.
1) Give Link2SD a try, it sounds like the closest to what you want. Make sure you read its FAQ, it's not a one click solution and you'll need to setup your SD card first.
2) Why did you root if you don't know what to do?
A friend of mine has a Galaxy SII (i9100) which had become sluggish and glitchy. I helped him install the latest stable release of CyanogenMod 11 for his device, gapps and everything, and the phone works perfectly now. However, it cannot access the SD card. It does show up in the file explorer and in the Settings app, but apps like Camera and others which rely on external storage cannot access it. Searching on the forums yielded no answers. I hope somebody here can help with this.
