Having seen virtually no updates since august about the rugged cases for the S3/S4/Note II, we can be left wondering if the Note 3 will get an extended battery as large as the note 2. I am skeptical about buying another hyperion battery since the battery life is already good enough to last the day, but I think I've been spoiled by the 9300.
If you're current battery gets you through a day, then shoot for the stars! That Zero Lemon will get you through a 3-day weekend!
At least, that's how I thought of my ZeroLemon for my SGS3. When I went for a ski weekend, or to AC, I'd pop that big battery and case on and then I could stumble into a hotel room in the middle of the night and not have to worry about charging at all.
So now, on Oct. 7th, the race is on...will ZL release one of their Godzilla batteries before ski season starts for me?
i actually sent an email regarding this and i was told they are looking to release a battery (possible a slim battery as well) by the end of October!!!!
Needless to say, i'm sure we won't see one til the end of November. haha

just came across these and am not finding any relevant data or reviews on these particular batteries...truth be told, im only interested because of the price...im torn between these and the mugen 400mah batteries...ironically im interested in either extremely cheap or the extremely pricey batteries, and am only hesitant because id rather overpay for quality than waste money on some shoddy product...
im not fond of carrying back up batteries and this damn phone loves leaving me stranded when i need it the most

If it isn't oem, I would say don't use it. Batteries made by third parties are usually crap. Just putting that out there
Yeah cheap batteries can explode, leak then explode, overheat then explode, or leak then overheat then explode.
(Ok not literally)
Some 3rd party batteries might be better quality than others, but your safest bet is OEM.
(I heard the Mugen batteries are pretty good, but I haven't used any of them.)
I've used Seidio in other phones and they have been great. Unfortunately they don't have a Rezound battery. Heard good things about Mugen as well.
Just talk nice to a Verizon customer service person and get them to send you one for free or for cheap. If they won't, kindly ask for their supervisor. If you're polite they'll usually do something to help you out.

It's people like you make me hate when I have to work phones in a help desk position.
I'm not in sales anymore (was in high school), but I'm in an IT position at a company now and only have to deal with internal customers (who still *****, just less so usually).
Everytime I've had to call a CS line (or use chat or w/e) I'm polite / professional, and usually get what I want. I've warrantied several components to my computer that were out of warranty (by a few months) this way.
There's a difference between the CS Rep actually wanting to help you out (if you're nice to them), and just wanting to get you off the phone (if you're being an ass).

Battery might work, that doesn't mean the BACK does.
Remember, the antenna for the Rezound is in the back of the phone. At least one manufacturer (Hyperion) sells an extended battery and back, and the back is completely worthless. The phone essentially eats up all those extra mAmps just trying to CONNECT. Fortunately, I also have the OEM 2750 mAmp battery from VZW and original extended back, and that fits the 3500 mAmp from Hyperion.
I can't vouch for this particular vendor's phone back, but keep it in mind.

I've just read on Android Police that HTC has acknowledged that there is a problem with their button design on the N9 (sunken with little travel) and they are going to provide a new type of button for there newer batches of the nexus 9. Anyone know any details about this?
Newer models will have buttons that aren't sunk in. Manufacturers do stuff like that all the time. That's the rough part of being an early adopter
Sent from my LG-D852 using Tapatalk
That's crap, I'd want my money back
If you bought it from Amazon or Best Buy, you shouldn't have an issue at all. If you bought from Google, they'll swap you. I'd say you're in fine shape.

Are you sure that's what you read? Can you link to "HTC's acknowledgement"?
Because all I'm seeing are articles pointing to a Reddit user who has compared 2 devices after an RMA. We all know that not every device has sunken buttons. So how could such a conclusion be made?
This seems like the exact same situation as the Nexus 5 "revision" which became viral news in December 2013, a short 1 month after the phone's launch. Again a single community post was what sparked it and no official word from Google or LG was ever made.
That turned out to be false as new N5's to this day can have loose buttons and every N5 ever made can be identified as "rev_11". Sounding familiar to anyone?
It's practically unheard of to get a hardware revision after only 1 month.
You are right. The article is really only referencing a single user on Reddit. I guess HTC never really "officially" took responsibility.

I got a first day White 32GB from Google Play, and the volume up button is now almost flush with the housing, called google and they organised a replacement - should be here today.
The SN of the new one indicates that it was made around a week later - not holding my breath for anything any better this time around.
I just got my replacement, volume up button pretty much the same, and about an inch of lightbleed at the top of the screen.
I have just contacted Google and requested a refund - they need to escalate it to a manager since its been 15 days since I got my original device.
Going to wait and see if these hardware issues get solved.
I know I have defended Google and HTC in previous threads, but I feel that for £399, I should have a device that passes quality control.

As an early nexus devices adopter, I do agree ! I didn't try to return my nexus 5 and its bad speaker, as it wasn't a deal breaker for me. But for the N9, considering that google sold it to us as a premium device (489€, ouch !) I expect a premium build quality.
I'll send them an email this week-end, will keep y'all informed if you're interested.
Kind of annoyed, my buttons aren't great and the back makes quite a loud popping sound under light pressure so I decided to RMA it (mine was manufactured Oct 16th) and the one I've just been sent as a replacement was manufactured Oct 15th, so BEFORE my current one, despite the fact it was sent around a month later. So it seems unlikely the buttons will be fixed
I bought one on launch day from Best Buy and the buttons were very low profile which made them hard to locate. However, they did function fine. I returned that tablet because Amazon had it $50 cheaper last week with a $50 Google Play credit and I received it this week. The buttons on the new one stick out much further and are much easier to locate (I like them much better). I do, however, feel there is more light bleed on the new one especially at the top and lower left corner when holding in portrait mode.

OT: Unfortunately, with a reboot in the night, I see the lightbleed problem that was not present in the previous HT4A....
The worst is that I had a chat again with a guy of Amazon Italy and he told me that Amazon, HTC and Google are aware of this problem and the policy is to not exchange it since you can still have the possibility to receive a unit with the same problem....but, for my case, there is always the opportunity within 30 days to return it and get money back.

Just got an email this morning, slickwraps has released their skins for our Nexus 6. They seem to have a pretty good selection of colors and styles from the quick look I gave the web site. I've used their carbon fiber and wood tones on my Nexus 5. They make a great product. I just wanted to share this new option for anyone looking to protect their nice, new device.
Heres a link to the website.

I've ordered a black carbon fiber and a zebra wood, both full coverage. I'll add pic's of them and probably the zebra wood installed when they come in.

Just ordered matte black back for $6.99 shipped. Hoping its a little trippy.
Making the dimple with that M cutout is a smart decision on their part and same with the frame coverage.
I hate that M symbol though and prefer to have it covered. Frame coverage is also smart but might be useless for some people.
Interested to see how these turn out.
Checking it out! Thanks! https://slickwraps.com/devices/phones/android/google-nexus-6.html

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well, cause I need your help, hoping it's the right section
I've owned my S6 Edge for 3 years by now, and I still do everything with it, the real problem is the battery
I sent it to the the Samsung warranty for the replacement of battery one year and a half ago, so the battery is even younger than the mobile
So I heard that with some mod or something similar I can improve the duration of the battery
So I'm here to ask you for some help, cause I no jack about modding
I'm ok to basically every option you have me if it will help
Also, I thought about modding cause I'm interested so instead anyway so maybe it's the right time to be involved in this world
