Your code is being processed. - Themer General Discussion

Anyone else getting this? Was at zero now it has said this for about four days. Seems like it's stuck or something.

FAQ:
1. Why are you guys so slow to send out codes? We're a really small team, and all the themes get downloaded from our servers. We need to make sure they can handle the demand! We are very very very sorry we can't go faster.
2. What devices do you support? We support most devices with Android 4.1 or above. We do NOT support tablets, the LG Optimus G, Xperia J, Note 1, or Ascend Mate. We may support them in the future.
3. Why can't I see themes on my Galaxy Nexus or Nexus 4? If you don't see any themes it's because you are running a custom ROM or some app that is changing the screen resolution (getting rid of soft keys or increasing the size of the notification bar). The themes are tuned to the device's stock resolution, and you need to restore your device to its original configuration to see themes.
4. I changed ROMs or switched phones and my code won't work! Please send us a support ticket on http://support.themerapp.com. We will respond very quickly if we are awake.

Thanks for the info.

[Q] S3 + custom roms

I'm contemplating trading my GNex in for a S3 LTE. Was playing with a non-LTE S3 in the shop earlier and noticed the S3 has three dedicated buttons (one hard, two touch) on the bottom that roughly equals the GNex's "menu" (the house-shaped one), back and a funny third button that seems to activate the "options" within apps. JB/ICS has a built in app-switcher but I dont see this or some Samsung version of it in TouchWiz.
Question 1: if I were to install a custom ROM onto the S3, what would those three buttons do? I presume the "back" and "home" buttons would behave the same, would that funny upside-down "U" button then toggle the app-switcher?
Question 2: How does the S3's camera work on a custom ROM? Does it use the native camera app or is there a Samsung camera .apk that can be downloaded? If you use the JB native app, would the photo quality be the same as it would be on a regular S3 w/ the factory ROM? Do the custom ROMS have adequate drivers to support the full 8M and higher sensitivity? The GNex's crap camera is driving me nuts
Question 3: Perhaps the most important question; I want to move onto a custom ROM b/c Samsung's slow at updating their firmware, and also b/c I want to get rid of the customization that comes w/ the S3 (namely TouchWiz and what they've done to the notification/status bars + menus etc). Is there a way to do this w/o going to a custom ROM?
Sorry lots of questions, but the S3 suddenly looks a lot more restrictive than the GNex

1. The buttons do Menu, home and back.
2. I haven't tried many camera apps but they all seem much the same, you will need to try it I suppose.
3. I am not sure if you got confused but I know I did!
You want to install a custom rom without installing a custom rom? No, I don't think you can do that.

Rom Index ..
Button remain the same unless changed by the rom maker .
Camera the same if using Samsung based custom rom.
3 is impossible without using a custom rom .
You can flash stock Samsung firmware often before the update .
You can flash a custom rom with the standard ASOP Android interface .

Tks all for your help. Sorry the 3rd question was terribly written. What I'd meant to ask was whether there was a way to strip all the Samsung customization (mainly how they change the notification menu + settings menu appearance) w/o having to use a custom ROM?
@JJEgan, tks for that ROM index, it's most useful. Are you aware of any ROMs that actually change the menu button back to the "recent apps" screen? How can I get to that functionality within the stock factory ROM? HTC has a funky 3D switcher, does Samsung have something?
Mucho gracias

custom ROM = modification
what you seem to have requested...is to have modification to "strip all the Samsung customization"
so essentially...you will have to look into the option of custom ROMs.
do keep in mind that there are two main types of roms available...
Samsung based custom ROMs and Android Open Source Project (AOSP) ROMs.
Samsung based custom ROMs look virtually to be the same as the original one that you have on the phone when you first unbox it...but with small adjustments and tweaks to fix things that Samsung didnt fix, or forgot to fix...usually this means the same user experience but with better battery life, smoother UI transitions etc...generally further improving the same existing experience...
AOSP ROMs is totally different ROM experience in which many users are also interested in as it gives the user a more raw, more down to earth experience to Android...in addition, due to the fact that AOSP is more rudimentary in nature, it leads to faster rate of updates, fixes as well as modification due to the larger source tree as it relates to a wider range of AOSP compatible devices...
Galaxy Nexus is based on AOSP (without the Samsung Over-Lay) while this does typically mean a more leaner, low fat ROM, it does miss out on certain features such as in-box video playback, HDR camera functions, low motion high FPS camera functions, as well as other nifty and impressive functions...in which you would have actually paid the phone to do...
keep in mind...the Galaxy Nexus does have inferior hardware as far as most users will be concerned...
Samsung's "recent apps" can be shown by press and holding the middle physical button...

Tks buddy. The gNex is by no means a weak phone (for 99% of the population) but certainly the camera and screen leaves much to be desired. Call quality is quite iffy too, maybe b/c its microphones are too sensitive; I take calls on the road and the caller hears every car, pedestrian and bus that goes back. Sure it has dual microphones that does some level of noise cancellation but doesnt do a whole lot of good. The iPhone (esp 5) smokes the gNex here.
I'm not wild about all the Samsung functions but certainly having a better camera app w/ HDR built in, Smart Stay etc is pretty appealing. Samsung-based ROM it is then, if only they could bring back the stock JB look and feel...the cyan/B&W layout is very sleek.
Anyone here tried the LTE version (I9305)? Carriers here in HK are offering it for free w/ an unlimited LTE plan for about US50 a month. Bit of a no-brainer when it's the same effective price as the I9300 w/ more RAM ) but I wonder if there will be less custom ROMs developed, and how LTE battery life compares? I'm not a massive data hog looking to stream videos regularly but I do have to VPN home every few days
why not remove the bloatware?

if you just want to remove the bloatware, have you considered simple rooting the stock firmware (not an upgrade and will block the samsung OTA update), then using a rooted explorer or adb or something (I personally use Titianium Backup to manage all my apps and backups) to delete the bloatware??
if you anything like me (who has been with android a while now) you'll have a set of 3rd party apps - so dont need the S Memo (love noteeverything) for example you can simple remove it from the phone. I did this for a few weeks before I moved to a custom ROM.
Heres a list of what is safe to remove...

[Q] Latest viewable theme is "city", which is from ages ago?

Ello,
I have an Alcatel One Touch Mini running Jelly Bean on stock rom, and themer installs fine and I can apply themes.
However, when I go to 'browse' and then 'newest', to display the latest themes, the latest theme is "city", which is from a couple of months back. It would appear that I can't view any of the newer themes.
I've tried reinstalling themer but it doesn't help. My resolution according to "lcdspecs" is:
res - 480 x 854
pixels/inch - 240
I haven't knowingly installed anything which should effect it.
Does anybody have any ideas what's going on here? I want the greenly theme so badly!
Thanks

Hi, sorry we didn't get back to you on Facebook, was speaking to the rest of the team.
In theory your phone shouldn't be supported as it doesn't have soft keys (as far as we can tell). So only devices with a 480x854 resolution with soft keys are properly supported.
Did you root your device?
If it's completely stock, it might have been lucky that your phone supported themes up till now. Devices with a 480x854 resolution and no soft keys will be supported very soon though.

Okay thank you. Purely out interest, do you have any idea why they stopped working after the 'city' theme?
My phone is rooted using kingo root, but themer installed just fine before that was the case!
hmmm maybe the rooting is the problem then if it was working before, but as suport posted the resolution isn't supported

Ahh, you misunderstand me. Themer installed fine before I rooted and it installs fine now. It still has the issue with not displaying a massive proportion of the (seemingly newer) themes though.
but did it display them before rooting ?

Like we mentioned it could have been purely coincidence. Some themes aren't seen on other devices due to the complexity of the theme. If it completely stops showing any new themes though, then it might due to your device.

Sorry for bringing this thread back, but I have been thinking about this recently and think it's probably quite important.
So basically the situation as alread stated is:
1. Alcatel One Touch Mini phone
2. All themes released before the theme 'city' work
3. All concurrent themes don't
As far as I can work out, this theme was released in December. As such, at around about the time of that date, something changed within the programming structure of Themer which makes all concurrent themes incompatible with my phone.
I know that themer are trying to increase the list of supported models, so I would imagine this is a pretty important thing to note!
Just thought I would put it back out there.
Any further ideas? Surely coincidence does not apply here.
Thanks

Hi,
Unfortunately there's not much that our team can do. We don't have the resources to check why rooted phones have issues, especially ones that aren't fully supported (as mentioned, only a 480x854 resolution with soft keys is fully supported). The team probably removed a root-fix feature after that specific update as many people were complaining about crashes/bugs with devices that weren't supported.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but at this moment in time, our team don't have the time or resources to work on rooted devices.

I bring to you another installment from my full oZoP project.
This one is usually kept for exclusive use control by my oZoP ConTroL app, but with the many requests and lingering release of the full oZoP I felt i could try and pump some juice back into this great device by showing the power and capabilities of this beast!!
Code:
native call recording with toggle
choose half-screen or full-screen caller id
custom background
choose image from gallery
any color solid
any color 2 stage gradient colors
call details text any color
incall button text text any color
incall dialpad numbers any color
incall dialpad letters any color
access to hidden service menus and settings
Screenshots
Screen Recording
instructions:
1. make a full backup if your current rom just to be safe
2. download the file
3. flash in TWRP
4. reboot and open the new oZoP Mods InCallUI app in your app drawer
5. show everyone and brag to them how you can do this and they can't!! HaHaHa
Deodexed rom is needed.
All other files are included.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY TESTED AND INTENDED FOR THE LG V20! For now at least. Once I get feedback from others that could change.
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TRYING IT unless you are at the very least LG and I suspect the only viable applicants would be the G5 and v10 running Android 7.
No G6 and no other devices should even attempt to flash unless you know how to recover yourself.
(some features may not work properly because they are dependent on root and busybox installed)
I am not responsible for your mistakes or errors!!
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm not going to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amount of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind and slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
Anyway, I don't expect there to be many if any bugs! Been tested by myself and confirmed with users of this device!
BUG REPORT

DEVS: You are welcome to use this in your projects, BUT the files must remain together and the code must remain untouched!! You can theme them however you want, but again, the main code must stay untouched and the apps must stay together

NO, this is not a patch method zip!
This will completely replace your existing InCallUI with ths custom one.
The only way to revert back would be manually copy the files from you system before flashing,
pull the files from the rom zip of which your are running
or restore thhe Nandroid i suggest as step 1 of the instructions.
I have tested this many time and have had some test result feedback confirming the flash went fine.
I don't see any reason to go back to stock, unless of course you like the hideous stock look with the tiny color ID and stick figure drawing for unknow callers! Hahaha.
Just flash it, you'll be pleased with what you cam do! Just check the screenies and video.
As far as Google dialer goes, I've not used it and am not familiar with it or what ot does to yoir system.
Does it effect both the main and incall dialers or just the main dialer you call out with?
Left is main dialer amd right is incall dialer.

Same here, flashed granted root and configured to my liking but dialer hasn't changed.
Edit : seems to work only when placing a call
H918
That's no fun lol
So only the in call is being changed atm and not the dialer.
Just flashed it on WETA 5.0.7 which is the newest one as of right meow. Phone booted up properly and nothing seems wrong. Call UI shows up properly.
Only thing I had an issue with was the phone stopped charging even though it was plugged in and the fast charging notification was even showing up but my battery icon was actually going down. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and got the charger sound but the battery icon was still discharging. I navigated to the battery menu under Android settings>General and after it loaded that menu it went from discharging to charging. Kinda weird.
Just thought I would share for anyone else who experiences this.
Haven't experimented to much with this just yet and I realize its just the 1st version but I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of the icons. It would be great if I could have the stock icons for the buttons and numbers.
The full screen caller ID is fantastic ? great work on that. However I'm finding it very difficult to read based on the caller ID picture since you can only set one color for the text and buttons, it can be very hard to read or see the buttons. Maybe some font ehancements would help fix or alleviate the issue. Something like borders or drop shadows or something better that I'm not aware of?? The half screen option could actually benefit from this as well for the name and number field as it still can blend in depending on picture.
***I just realized that to activate the half screen caller ID option you just have to leave the full screen option unchecked lol. I thought it wasn't included yet or something and noticed that after reading about the half screen option in the OP :silly:? ***
One little note on the half screen option is the "Hold call" icon overlaps with the call timer.
Just trying to to give some feedback on it and thanks again for porting it out from your mod so we can try it early ? Kudos!

Hahaha!!! Come on guys... I thought the title of the thread "InCallUI" would be enough to understand that it is the dialer UI for when you're "In a Call"
if that wasn't enough I did list the features, one of which state "native call recording". I've only seen the call recording option available once you're "In a Call"
I guess Android is a little confusing to understand that they even have 2 separate dialers (which I did describe above including screenshots). In fact our android system has nearly 10 apk's, several framework jar files and other support xml files. So it is confusing.... I guess...
Anyways, This mod is usually exclusive to my full oZoP project and it will be included in the project along with the main dialer and many many other mods!!

I have not had or had report of the charging issue you report. This mod really should have any effect on that or any app associated with that portion of the phones activities?
As you a;ready noticed, this is v1 and it will be improved on.
That being said, the stock icons created problems being a single solid flat color and visibility in many screens. These one may not be the best style for everyone, but they are more visible in more situations and that is better for more people.
I also am working on getting color controls for the icons (as shown with the Button color WIP option, it works, but only for the redial call icon that shows when the call ends.
If I can't figure the coloring option I will either restore the stock icons or have a flashable zip to replace them actually, I've attached a zip to put stock back(I do not use these and can not support any color issues you may get as a result)

I'm not sure what issue you're talking about here?
As far as this mod goes, there are no major issues, some very minor theme style preferences maybe, but no issues here.
The link takes me to my XDA signature image, you want to know something about that?
In the future if you want better support, I suggest giving as much detail, including screenshots detailed noted for what you did, what you had going prior and the results after the flash. Logs from logcat as good, but don't always help (especially for user error, haha)
I also suggest reading the OP and viewing any previews that may be included. I actually updated the OP preview section with notes of what is in the screenshot.

That is a great looking feature, but at this time the control app is set as is. There is a lot that goes into these things and I am not at a time in which I can spend working on this kind of thing.
Not to say it won't eventually happen, maybe down the road after oZoP has been officially released and several updates have gone by, maybe.
I do thank you for the suggestion and am always open to, not promising, to any suggestions or request you all have!!
Thank you all

Thank for the feedback, I added to the OP confirmed devices. I may start thread in the G5 sections as well. But need to know if it worrk for other G5 roms or just Fulmics.
Are the stock basedrom like fulmics somewhat compatible or is Fulmics based ...

Fulmics is stock based. Version 3.5 that I use is based on Android 7.0 Version V20d.

In call UI thanks for the mods!
Hahaha!!! Come on guys... I thought the title of the thread "InCallUI" would be enough to understand that it is the dialer UI for when you're "In a Call"
True, I read the OP but I thought incallui was the samething as the dialer,my bad. Please delete my previous comment and thank you for this mod.

5 plus dark UI?

Hello! Bought a Redmi 5plus about 2 months ago. Saying I love it, is less than fair... I really, really love this device. Lots of ram, lots of storage, it is responsive, fast and love this new format for the screen. But, I hate... NO... I loathe all this white present on the User Interface.
Prior to this 5plus, I had a Samsung S4, wich has died... Finally! LoL dont get me wrong, I have loved it too, but I had it for years, was kind of tired of it. I flashed Many ROMs to it and managed to always keep a dark UI.
So, this brings me to my question or request for help: is there anyway to put out all the whiteness to rest on the 5plus?
Been already searching XDA for flashing tutorials, but I came to the conclusion that its not as Simple to flash a 5plus, as it was flashing the S4.
Soooooo... Help? Suggestions?
Thanks for not ignoring and sorry for my poor English.
Hugs from Portugal.
Edited to ask: what is this treble and vince thing?
Thanks again.

Main difference between your old Samsung s4 (I too had one in the past and many more Samsung devices) is that Redmi 5 Plus has the bootloader locked but this device is really more easy to flash cause it has an additional way that is fastboot method and in this mode you can flash it using commands or using the official MiFlash tool also through recovery and edl mode.
Once you unlock bootloader any rom that you flash it onto (except flymeOs which I can´t find one) has their dark themes as miui with its own theme engine (based on theme chooser from cyanogen) as any aosp based rom using substratum theme.
Vince is the codename of device and treble support (not natively implemented) tries to create an universal system image for all devices as many possible to get reach every update more easily. (this is a basic explanation, there is many more)
try a theme. i'm using Dark Legacy Pro. darkens almost the whole ui, but notifications and the navigation bar are still white.

there should be an app called, "Themes" somewhere on your home screen. open it and search for Dark Legacy pro and apply it.
Yes, there is a "themes" on the phone definitions, but it only shows 2 themes installed and there is no search option. Installed and APP from the Google playstore... Will test it.
Edited to Say, this sucks!
Have already tried and download a few themes.
But it doesnt let me apply them.
Error: themes are not supported in your region.
What?! So sad... Why is this?!
Hello. I managed to install dark legacy pro, all I had to do was Change my phone's region, login to the Miui fórum and download the theme.
One Word: Perfect!!!! Thanks for all the help!
Also check out Blackberry.

OEM skin/software

Are you comfortable in your own skin? Is your phone comfortable in its skin? Rate this thread to express how you deem the skin on the Xiaomi Mi A2. A higher rating indicates that you love it: it adds just the right amount of features, it's visually pleasing, and overall it's additive to the experience. If this is a Nexus phone (you didn't think we hand-wrote all of these prompts, did you?) then use this rating to indicate how the latest version of Android looks to you.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Is it 100% stock? In the stock photos the lockscreen doesn't look the same as the one on my Pixel, with the clock being in the top-left... small detail I know, but I wonder what else is different

Well yes and no, more YES then no, I'll try to explain.
You see, google has their stock android which they send directly from google servers to phones like Nexus and now Pixel models.
Then there is google one program, in which google send again directly from google servers new updates to phones for different kind of brands of phones out there, but not 100% same as pixels stock android (camera app for example).
And there is google go variant, which is another variant of stock android, but it is not send to phones directly from google, instead it is send to brands of phone, like for example nokia, and then nokia has the responsibility to send those new version of android or updates to phones themselves.
So, android one is 98% stock android, there are some exclusives which google keep for their premium phones, and some launcher design changes, but nothing serious.

Thank you very much for the infos, I proceeded to order the Mi A2!
Ok, so I recently updated to Pie and ugh, I wish I hadn't. The audio controls are horrible, you can only change multimedia volume and toggle between ring/silent/vibrate. For the rest you must go to the settings. Oh and the settings button, where did that go? Well now you have to make an additional swipe to get to it because its now hidden in quick toggles.
Now you can't change the WiFi/BT directly from quick toggles like before, you have to go to the settings....
The gestures are half assed as well imo. Either use the onscreen buttons or full gestures so that you don't have anything taking up the screen. Another thing that extremely annoys me is that you can't change the nav button layout, you have to install additional app and grant it permission through adb to move the back button to a more sensible right side. After Pie update the clock is located on left side as well without ability to switch it to the right side. I know that this is probably Googles fault but still, in the end its a problem of this phone too.
Another thing that annoyed me was that there wasn't even a music player on the phone :/
