So, I just flashed my l9 with V20B so I could unlock recovery mode.. I flashed, rooted, installed busy box, then installed recovery apk, did the reboot to recovery, but it doesnt boot into recovery mode, it just goes straight to android.. so what im asking, can someone either help me get my phone up and running correctly? I have the p769 L9.

My son, in all his wisdom didnt see a need for the custom recovery or nandroid. Except now his phone wont boot so I am unable to get an adb shell. It is stuck at lg boot screen. I can get to the stock recovery which is s-on apparently. I do have backups of the stock img files. system, boot, recovery, etc. He said he was trying to add a custom kernel to the boot img via adb when he encountered the problem. Is it possible currently to flash a new kernel and or rom via the stock recovery? I cant seem to get past the verification. Any help is greatly appreciated.....
Go to stickies on forum and you will see what you have to do.. you need KDZ updater and the stock image.. that's what worked for me..

I flashed the latest CWM on my Atrix running 2.3.4 stock(KennPenn) flashed via fastboot system and boot.img's.. I am unlocked and rooted. After installing the latest CWM, when I try to boot into recovery I just get the red M with "Entering Android Recovery" and it goes nowhere. I was able to get into the stock recovery at least prior to flashing the latest CWM... Any help would be greatly appreciated... Thank you.

mramirezusa thanks for the reply.. I used your root_cwm, Got as far as to reboot into Android Recovery and stil the phone is at the Motorola Splash screen and just says..

Entering Android Recovery Mode
And is just sitting there.. I don't even get the exclamation point to get into stock recovery. Any ideas? Thanks!
My phone is rooted, i dont think the bootloader is unlocked, after i installed CWM using "L9RecoveryInstaller_1.5.0.apk" everytime i try and boot into recovery i just get the dead android. i also rooted using "LGPwn.apk"
Need help! my final goal is to install Cyanogenmod, if someone can help me find a way to do that it would be amazing.

You cannot install CM or custom rom on locked bootloader. Please unlock your phone boot loader first. And for recovery problem, did you install busy box? That recovery need busybox installed to work.
Hi I have the lg optimus p769 and I tried to unlock the BL to no avail. So I flashed back to stock and updated to 20h. I already got the phone rooted but when I try and install the recovery through the apk it says its installed. But when I reboot to recovery it just passes it and wont let me in. Even if i try to press down when the phone turns on because the led's are not blinking. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you have busybox install? Lock bootloader recovery works only when busybox installed.

I have a problem with my P760. I was using my phone with unlocked bootloader, CWM and official CM 10.2 installed. But my phone stop working, and after reboot I get error mounting data in CWM and of course got in bootloop. So I used LG flash tool to go back to stock ROM. I didn´t knew if my bootloader is still unlocked, so I connected phone to PC and wait for 30 minutes. Then I hit command adb reboot oem-unlock. I decided that my bootloader is still unlocked. So I flashed CWM and got the same error. Stock ROM is working normally. Can somebody tell me, what to do? I just want to restore my nandroid backup and get my data. But with this error it´s impossible. Thanks for every advice and I´m sorry for my bad english...
