No need for s-off, we don't have that yet, just unlocked bootloader, should already be unlocked if theres a custom rom on it, just visit htc dev if you need to unlock it again, follow some guides for installing roms on xda.
Thanks. This unlocked means the phone is ready to install a custom rom, no?
Correct

I seed this tutorial on internet: http://youtu.be/x1y9MQ3ddQg but I dont understand if I need do do any type of wipe, and I dont know when I install the kernel?
Regards. and thanks
TWRP 2.6 is the latest. Find at teamw.in
For viper 2.0 do a factory reset in recovery and then flash the Rom.zip and the boot.img with fastboot.

Hi All,
Apologies if the has been asked already but I was unable to find an answer to my question.
I have an O2 HTC One X Plus (CID 02__001) which WAS on Hboot 1.30 but is now on hboot 1.35 since the OTA update 1.17.206.1 came out in the UK not very long ago
I know there was an issue being able to use a custom ROM with the older hboot. Will I now be able to flash a custom ROM to my phone (I am eyeing up Android Revolution HD 6.2)??
Or is it too soon ?
You now have the latest hboot. So you can flash any international custom rom you want

Fantastic. l assume I don't need to do the firmware thing the instructions mention just the boot image and Rom itself?

Yeah just flash the boot.img then boot into recovery and flash the rom. If i was you i'd do a nandroid of your stock rom first though.

thanks for your help. Much appreciated! Things were so much easier on my HTC Desire S lol
Hello,
I recently got the HTC One ATT, The bootloader is unlocked, it is rooted, and I have used revone to get S-Off No problems.
Now I want to install Viper rom from this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334294
My question is, Do I need to get super CID in order to install the viper rom? The thread doesn't say if it is needed or not
I am mainly going to use viper rom and probably not going to install any other Rom, is it still recommended to get super CID?
What will I be missing out on if i do not get super CID, will viper rom be restricted in any way, will i just not be able to install sprint roms etc.
I read on a different thread that super CID isnt needed to install international roms, but I just want to confirm so I dont have a $500 paperweight.
Cheers,
Nope not needed

Yes you need to be s-off in order to install firmware that does not match your CID or MID.

You need s-off if you are going to run a different carriers ruu if you want to run a custom rom from the international forum you can be s-on or s-off

I just went through this process and S-OFF is not enough, you also need to change your MID otherwise OTAs will fail. I will write something up soon on what I did to convert my ATT to International ROM.
Just got my One today, coming from an S-Off One X. Is getting S-Off deemed important on the One?
##Update##
Realized how easy it was to obtain S-Off compared to the HTC One X (which admittedly was pretty easy already) and went ahead and did it anyways
Honestly if you need to ask this type of question do not attempt it, just because its on here doesnt mean its a necessity...htc dev unlock the phone and flash a custom rom and be happy with that for now until youve read read and read some more....
Hi everybody. I have an S-OFF EVITARE_UL Telus handset with CID 11111111. HBOOT is 1.40. It is an LTE handset. I am still on 4.1.1 JB with Sense 4+.
From what I understand, I can't flash a ROM that's made for an International HOX+.
AT&T rolled out 4.2.2 with Sense 5. Telus did not. My question is can I flash a ROM that's made for AT&T? If so, what is the procedure? Thanks.

You understand wrong then. Your device uses diffrent radio hardware to the international version and requires a diffrent kernel. There is nothing you can do to make any international rom compatible with your device. Sorry!
Although AFAIK you will have no issues flashing an AT&T rom...

yeah! you can flash At&t htc one x plus roms on telus.

Hi, you can flash sense 5 and android 4.2.2 based At&t roms to Telus device. in fact I use one, presently we have three roms. Elegancia 6.2 .. Blackout extreme ..and magiorom. These roms were based on system dump provided by lloir, the hboot is not updated and its safe to try these sense 5 roms.
make a backup of your present rom and try these...
don't even try to flash roms made for international version.
Will it require s-off and root ????
Okay so im going to root my friends AT&t htc one. He has Sense 5 4.1.2 and 1.26.501.12 as his software number. I know i can unlock his bootloader using HTC Dev and then i can s-off using Rumrunner or which exploit to give him s-off?I see that people using rumrunner have 4.3 with hboot 1.5 i believe. Now based on my searching i dont need any special firmware hboot radio ect in order to flash 4.4 AOSP roms on this phone correct? What i was planning on doing was s-off then flashing Dirty Unicorns or maybe converting it to the M7_ul for Sense 6.

This is just my opinion but you should leave their phone on stock Sense roms
Rumrunner will work on 4.1.2 but you have to have a rom installed with insecure kernel like ARHD 31.6 here > http://www.androidrevolution.org/downloader/download.php?file=Android_Revolution_HD-One_31.6.zip
here's all the steps
unlock bootloader at htcdev
flash twrp 2.6.3.3
http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.3-m7.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
put the ARHD rom on the phone and flash it
s-off with RumRunner or firewater
then flash the new firmware to get everything up to date
http://d-h.st/a1w
instructions on flashing firmware are here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
Now your all set to start flashing any roms you like
The new ARHD 61 and Insertcoin 6th Sense are Sweet !!!

thanks he wanted Sense 6 but i thought it was only for the M7_ul so i guess he'll be happy getting sense 6. On HTC Dev i pick all other supported devices correct? Also the firmware you linked is that 4.4 radios hboot ect? Also after updating firmware i will still have s-off because it wont touch Hboot correct? The ARHD that you linked to flash so i can use Rumrunner it works on AT&T m7 correct? And i wont need to convert his One to a international version in order to Flash insert coin? because i see its in the international section or do roms from international One work on the AT&T and T-mobile variants?
All the gsm variants of the htc one are all rom compatible with each other unless directed other wise. If your s off you won't lose it if you upgrade from most threads on xda.
