Guys the other day I did a wipe data from original recovery and it deleted all the data in /sdcard, is it normal?
Yes. It's the same as factory reset.

it's a strange. The Galaxy Note II doesn't erase the /sdcard. Why is there these differences?
Because you should use a custom recovery for this, it doesn't wipe your internal sd

Good response. Then The offical kernel format also /sdcard ? Instead custom recovery not format /sdcard ? Is it true?
I have from many month installed and tested various different rom on my i9300.
NOw I'm using Final Chaos with Android 4.1.2.
Every time I install a new ROM normally I use following procedure:
star in recovery PhilZ Touch 5
Wipe data / Factory reset
Wipe cache partition
Wipe Dalvik Cache
after install the ROM e standard boot.
Some times after all initializiation procedure, I found on the internal rom some data already downloaded or received in the past (ie. icon, some images) How is it possible?
Normaly I restore only rubrica from google and nothing else. But wipe data / factory reset doesn't erase all internal rom?
Total wipe mounts and storage in recovery .
Format cache sdcard system data and preload .

I use the Chaos rom , so you need a full wipe with that rom , so you can do what was suggested by jjegan or you could use Megawipe , seach for it on xda , flash that , it will wipe away everything that is from the past rom (SO KEEP THE ROM IN YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD) , but back up everything from your internal sd card , whatever you need , and then flash it , then flash the Final Chaos once again

Yes Chaos rom is a zip file ... keep it on your external sd card and flash from that (but the Dev for chaos says to flash from internal sd card. .. because you want to clear all waste from the internal sd card , you'll have to flash from the external sd card. . But if you experience problems after flashing , move the rom.zip to the internal as card and Wipe data/factory reset , wipe cache partition , format system under mounts and storage and then wipe dalvik cache under advanced options and then Flash the chaos rom from the internal sd card. . Good luck

No not needed as far as i know, i have never restored it. . Just remember it will wipe out the system , so you need to have a rom in the EXTERNAL sd card to flash. . Or your phone won't boot. . But it's always goodto backup your EFS ..

I rooted my GT-I9305 following the tutorials on this forum and after that I installed cyanogenmod 10.2 with cwm from sd card. i noticed that my photos and data were still on the phone memory after wipe data/factory reset. Is there a way to clean install custom roms?

Recovery format system data cache preload and sdcard .
You now have no OS boot to download mode and flash stock rom or flash custom rom from ext sdcard .
Hello,
I have installed this rom cm-11-20140311-UNOFFICIAL-kumquat on my Xperia U, everything is ok but I have a strange problem.
I tried to delete all data from the internal storage but it doesn't work. It looks like is working but then after reboot all my image and my contacts are still there. I just want a clean install. Anyone can help me? I also tried to format sdcard0 through recovery but it says that "can't format sdcard0". Have I missed something?
Thank you
Wipe everything during flash, easy

No need to wipe sdcard (that's where the pics etc are)
Contacts are in /data
Use wipe data/factory reset option in recovery.
All app data will be lost. Restored to factory state. (Installed rom will remain)
