Voicemail icon always showing, no voice mails. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

Anyone know how to get the icon & new voicemail notification to disappear? I've already tried force stopping voicemail and clearing data/cache. Its been showing for 3 days now. Still on MDK w/root & TWRP. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

No Voicemail Notification Nero 4.1

I am not receiving voicemail notifications. I contacted tmobile and they tried some stuff including changing out my sim card, but I still don't get notifications. Is anyone else having this issue?
I'm running Nero 4.1.

Why would you let t-mobile touch your phone with modified firmware installed? No issues here with google voice notifications.
I didn't let them touch my phone. Everything they did they did on their end.
Google voice won't work for me. It wont finish the setup.

After you select GV at the voicemail setup screen, it typically would bring you back to the gv app... I'm not sure why it doesn't, but gv voicemail still works.
For me, when I select google voice it brings up a voicemail number box, but it wont let me do anything in it. I tried calling my phone thereafter and it was still my tmobile voicemail. Is there something else I have to do?

You need to replace the Message center number to redirect to GV instead of Tmobile Message center Number
It won't allow me to change the number. Some sort of bug with Nero maybe?

New Voicemail Notification won't go away..

In my notification menu bar, the a New Voicemail notification will not disappear. There is no clear option for it. I have tried many roms, the only one that got rid of it was CM7, using the clear function. Can anyone help?

Voicemail notifications come from your carrier, not the phone, so there's nothing you can do on the phone to get rid of it. So basically, there's no need to go flashing your phone to try and get rid, despite the fact that you already have!
You could try ringing your voicemail, make sure the message has been listened to (and deleted if relevant), and then maybe check your voicemail settings. Find the notification settings in the menu and see what options you have.

Mind sharing what you did to fix it? I am having an identical problem, and I am beating my head against a wall
I have tried thus far:
- Called it from a land line and left a new message, then deleted it
- Had my carrier reset my voicemail
- Had my carrier remove voicemail service completely
- Power cycled the phone, and pulled the battery

[Q] New Voice Mail Indicator Not Working

I updated my phone to the 2.10.605.1 ROM and it seems that since I've done it, whenever I receive a new voicemail message, the indicator in the title bar is not appearing so I have to rely on the missed call info to force me to check my voicemail.
Has anyone else seen this and have any ideas on how to resolve. And YES, I've checked my voicemail settings and the indicator is set to on.
Thanks for the help.
Ty.
It's a known issue with the gingerbread leaks.

What they said ^
I setup Google Voice to combat this problem and I am SO glad I did! I love GV so much so that even though I am back on froyo (with working voicemail notifications) I still use it!

[Q] Clearing voicemail notification?

Has anybody gotten stuck with a voicemail notification they couldn't clear?
There's a Voicemail section in the settings, but nothing to change. If I don't get voicemail from my carrier, who would I get it from?

VM Notifier stuck
I have been using this program for a while now and really like it but today it is stuck and thinks it has vm when there is none. It reminds me every 3 minutes and I have tried clearing the data from the phone, rebooting the phone, taking the battery out and then replacing it and uninstalling and reinstalling the program and nothing is getting rid of the 3 minute warning. If its going to go on forever like this, I will have to uninstall and look for a program that is more reliable. Please help, hopefully now, because I can't wait 3 days for ran answer. this 3 minute thing is driving me crazy!
Thank you

Stock.voice mail icon? Go away!

I'm running the global update, rooted.
I use google voice and have been for a few years. All of a sudden the stock vm icon shows up on my status bar. It indicates I have 2 vm's. I check it and I don't. How do I get it to go away? I've rebooted phone, removed battery.

Settings->Call and tap "Clear voicemail notification"
I also use GV for my voicemail, I have had this happen a few times over the last few years, after verifying there are actually no VM's in there, I just clear the notification and all is well. If there are messages in the VZW system, you need to do the *71 again.
