A USB Jig is used when you brick your phone. It forces phone to go in download mode
Use triangle away app, which can be found in themes and apps section

I would like trying something that no need paying for, so I just wanted to know if USB jig can be used for it
No need to pay - Chainfire has been kind enough to release the APK for free.

Though if you really want to use the USB jig, that's very simple too: http://www.dialandroid.com/2011/12/how-to-use-usb-jig-on-galaxy-s2-i9100.html

Hi,
Does I9100G same as I9100?
Can I flash CF-Root on I9100G?
Does the custom rom in this forum is compatible?
Anyone tried it before?
I use a GT-9100T with no issues as baseband version KH3 of the custom rom matches that of the stock.
Have a look around in chainfire's thread for a matching rooted kernel. Once rooted, use the CWM app that's installed automatically to make a nan-backup of your original rom (if three is no shipped rom G version available for download, check intratech thread)
......That is if you decide to go down this path. Sorry can't be of more help.

I too have the I9100G DXKH4 S2 and from experience please do not use CF-Root files on the G phone. I ended up with a stuck Samsung Boot screen with the Yellow Triangle.
Some of the ROMs i tried from Intratech and Samfirmware could not be flashed and the error did not go away. Last resort was I sent back to Samsung for reflash.
Just updated my firmware to DZKI1 using Kies. Looks like we are stuck with an
unrootable phone until CF gives us the CF-I9100G root files
I sure would like to know what exactly is the difference between between the "G" and non G phone but somehow I cant find any except for bricking it
---------- Post added at 04:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:09 AM ----------
One other thing, I noticed the G phone has some font issues
1. Droidwords...In the game where you can see the points on your word played (top right), the fonts become ............
2. Papago , the mylist (saved location) fonts are extremely small
3. TouchPal Keyboard (IMHO is far superior than the stock Samsung KB) - Full QWERTY mode with Symbols and Numbers intermixed, first 3 rows are missing all the symbols and numbers. Only the last row of keys can be seen with the symbols

i9100g is using different CPU TI OMAP 4430. I think thats why root fail. You can PM hahaboy cos he have rooted his device. Also it seems you guys got official rom KI1 which is a 2.3.5 rom.

Hi Hahaboy,
I need the KH4 kernel (for i9100G) to flash my i9100G back to normal..
I've foolishly tried to root it using the CF root with a KH4 kernel (for i9100) that causes the phone to be stuck at the reboot level..
Hope to hear from you soon.

The solution comes with the new kernel uses by ICS builds. The flash disk actually has two hidden boot partitions, /dev/block/mmcblk0boot0 and /dev/block/mmcblk0boot1 . The MMC driver in the kernels used for Gingerbread did not present these partitions in the past, the MMC driver in the ICS kernel does.

I have a bit of a dilemma i would like sorted out. So i wake one morning to find my rooted Galaxy S2 I9I00 is not charging even though i have connected the wall charger. It isn't charging with the usb cable as well. I try cleaning the port with an old toothbrush as i read in some thread but that didnt work. My phone doesn't charge my friends battery either so its the phone that has the problem. Not to worry i have my warranty which has been void since i had rooted my phone, so before i call Samsung i will be unrooting my phone. When you flash stock (TAR) rom it already includes stock kernel in the package (zImage file), so stock kernel will replace your current one. In mobile odin, when you open the firmware file, you will see that "Kernel" partition will be filled in as well.

Remeber, when you download XDA version of mobile odin then you have to download separately (special flash kernel from the same thread for i9100 and store it on internal sdcard). ASAIK paid version from Google Play is able to download it automaticaly.

Hi All,
I've been really happy with my Galaxy S3 until I decided to flash a new Cyanogen Mod nightly build onto it. After the update my touchscreen stopped working but the soft buttons still work. I done a bit of reading on XDA and found it could be the digitizer that has faulted.
I've reflashed all the original ROM's and Firmware. When going into download mode in now reads
Customer Binary Download: Yes (4)
Current Binary: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
I want to take it back to Vodafone to see if they can repair it but I need to get the flash counter back to 0. I know Triangle Away can do this but as the screen doesn't work I can't get past the unlock screen once it turns on to install and use it.
Is there anyway to reset the flash counter without getting into the phone e.g. via Odin?
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Need some more advice,
As you know my phone is a samsung galaxy s2 gt 19100 and its not loading up to the main screen, but staying on the boot screen. I recently updated to jellybean from ics as well.
Entering recovery mode has not worked as using the combination of buttons doesn't work and i have used odin to reinstall jelly bean and downgade to ics again and that has not worked.
I desperately need my phone to work as it has all my stuff on it, is there anything else that i have not tried?
Thanks in advance.
