[Q] over heating after rom flashed - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I´ve flashed S4 Revolution v6 rom with no problems at all.
After going on a tour my i9300 reached 43º. I thought it was just me getting excited but it still happens.
I´m using titanium backup and removed all apps I didn´t want but didn´t improve.
After idle it´s ok but as I start using net or a few multitasks.... 43º again
Also, I´ve deleted cache, dalvik and factory as well and flashed again with no luck.
On another note, on previous S4 Revolution v5 it was fine.
Any ideas please???

Wipe phone flash stock rom and test and or read the rom thread .

any way that is based on a leaked rom and hence bugs are expected. tweak according to your requirements. else mega wipe and flash the rom again.

funny enough I had version 5 for some time and worked fine.

Heating can sometimes be caused by the kernel.Wipe cache partition and flash a custom kernel.

[HELP] GT-I9300 doesn't boot in stock

First of all i apologize if i don't post this thread in the right place and if there's already a thread about this but i looked a lot and found nothing.
My problem is that i cant make my phone boot in stock rom ics.
I tried with lots of stock roms, not just from my country, but also from anothers, but i can use JB rom (from Poland right now, in omega rom) without any problem.
The phone is stuck at bootloader, and if i wipe data/factory reset, it get's stuck in the language selection screen and if i touch it, anything happens.
Also i tried to flash roms like cyanogenmod and aosp rom and they just stay on bootloader and nothings happen if i wipe everything.
I appreciate if someone helps me and sorry for my bad english.

I don't know, but if JB are OK I would not worry, just stay with a JB ROM.
Do a factory reset after the flash

I actualy loved JB, but the main reason is because that i can't test any rom other than Omega (they just get stuck on the bootloader and i read it may be because my JB stock rom) and the other reason is because that's a very weird bug, and i'm very curious about it

I did a factory reset before and after the flash and it's still the same. Do i have to format the complete sdcard? including the pictures and the music and all that stuff?

no, but always worth a try, but backup first
I just solve it and its weird. I had to do a full reset with stock recovery and then I can boot in stock rom and even use rom's like cyamogenmod or aosp.
I don't know what was the problem but now is solved
Thanks a lot to all for your help

Omega questions in the Omega thread do not post multiple times the same question .
A guess is that it was a bad flash wipe phone re download rom or use V40 and flash again .
Problems flash stock rom .

Try to wipe data, cache and dalvik cache. Reboot.
Note: do have backup first.

Thanks for your fast reply, but I did those in every installation full wipe for all. But the problems remain.
What about the stock rom with stock kernel (just flash the stock .ftf)? If the problem is on stock rom/kernel too I guess it's a hardware defect
Sent from my SK17i running stock ics (.587)

Wiped data, cache, dalvik, batteriy stats......even fixed permissions.... It's very weird cuz its only on a Custom ROM..... On stock wifi is working fine....
Perhaps a kernel related problem?
Did you do a full wipe?
Okay here's exactly what i did....
-I was running Samsungs 4.2.2 leak.
-Wiped data and cache and dalvik and battery stats.
-I installed AOKP.
- I installed GAPPS 4.2.2
- Came in the setup screen and said the wifi problem....
then I did the same with CM.....

Cyan - Bootloop

Hi guys, i have this strange problem, lately ive been switching between aosp and touchwiz nearly weekly, had no problems with that. Few days ago i have flashed this new 4.4 port from arter but as my camera didnt work i wanted to go back to cyan (temasek). When i flashed it just bootlooped. I have tried wiping anything, installing 4.3 touchwiz and then temasek but nothing helped. I know i can always flash factory rom but i hope u guys have some kind of other solution.
thanks in advance
// uh wrong thread, i was quite sure i was in Q&A, please move this
