Apologies but the search is down. Can someone tell me how the camera is with this fella?
Quite excellent, very fast in low light and extremely fast during the day when the sun is strong.
But since it's 4mp, it has some noise issues but not bad at all. Go check this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2238529

There are a lot of folks that have had problems with the camera on this model too. Google "HTC One camera focus", and you will see what I mean. Also, there are issues with many people having blue and purple graininess in low-light conditions. Supposedly, HTC is working on a "software fix" for both issues, but I am not holding my breath.
I have the G2 right now and I came from HTC one. I believe HTC one has a much better camera in low light. G2 over processes the pictures and night pictures are horrible. I have yet to see a phone that takes better pics than HTC one at night. I'd rather have a good night camera since most of my pics are indoors over something like G2 that is just not working for me. Wide angle lens has me kind of spoiled too.

If you're up for it run a custom ROM and never fret about manufacturer updates again. Stock software problems become non-issues.
Quite simply, the images themselves are not bad, but the lens distorts horribly. It's too wide and people look silly.
Since you specifically asked about the camera... I honestly couldn't recommend this phone any less (due to the camera.) The phone itself? Excellent. Mine has minor build quality defects, but I don't foresee them to be detrimental to the livelihood of the phone over the next few years.
The camera, however, is incredibly unreliable, and not up to snuff with the standards set in smart phones over the past few years. My Galaxy S2 took marginally better photos than this camera is capable of. Good shots from this shooter are, quite literally, 1 out of 100. It only adds insult to injury that these good shots are pretty damn good. Not once have I managed to whip the phone out and point-and-shoot my way to a great shot on the first attempt, either. Here's a few examples of what I consider to be worthy shots from this camera. Each one took around 4-5 attempts to remedy focusing/white balancing/ISO issues. Finally, here's an example of a point-and-shoot situation. This pretty accurately represents the kind of photos I get from this phone in everyday usage; decent color representation, but poor white balancing, and poor detail in anything more than 5 feet away -- notice there's no distinguishable focal point -- everything is out of focus.
Barring the sub-standard photo quality, mine is useless in low light situations, due to the purple/pink discoloration of images, and poor focusing. Check out this thread about the issue -- it's pushing 300 pages of replies in just over 4 months.
On the flipside, if you give this lens the tons of natural light that it needs, you're bound to get some excellent shots. I noticed that trend pretty quickly in the photo thread linked above -- outdoor shots are mostly great, indoor shots are mostly terrible (no offense to any of you who contributed to that thread!)
If you were to say you wanted an awesome smart phone that just so happened to take pictures, I'd probably have much better things to say about the device. Since you asked about the camera, I encourage you to avoid it like the plague. It's such a disappointment to me, a guy who has had a lifelong appreciation for cameras and photography, that I began considering my other options only a month into owning the phone. I'm even curious about the Nexus 5, and no one even knows how that camera behaves yet.

If you need a good camera phone for low light (Night) situations then you need a Lumia 92x or above. They are excellent on that department.
The camera is awesome. Just make sure you get a phone with a properly functioning sensor and you'll be blown away. Seriously.

All taken with the HTC One. All by me. I hate seeing people put blame on something when really they just don't take the time to thoroughly learn and use it properly. I mean, It's not a magic box guys, you do have to do some work and learn the settings and different modes and what works best for the situation you're in.. Cheers!

I'm going to post this thread here which extensively (300 pages) covers the issues surrounding this camera. I hope you don't get scared by this and determine that you should avoid the phone, because as @mrrick said, if you get a properly functioning one the results are excellent.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317507
Things to keep in mind:
Around 85% of launch units have this problem.
It seems very unlikely at this point that a software fix will solve the problem and lead to normal pictures.
The only way people have fixed it is by getting a new phone or sensor.
More recent batches may not be affected. The June one I just got as a replacement is excellent.
Try to check the serial number of the phone before hand and look for HT36... or maybe 35 onwards, just not 32,3, or 4 (the second number is the month of manufacture). Of course try the camera before you leave the store too by putting it down on the table - if it has the problem, the screen will turn red.
Other than this, I don't think there are any problems with the camera.
Don't let this put you off, it's an amazing phone you won't regret buying!
I just bought a LG G2 as well and the One takes much better pictures especially in low lighting. The bad thing about it is only 4mp, so when the picture is blown up on a larger screen, the quality of the photo lowers. Not a lot of detail and also sometimes grainy. But on the phone itself, it looks spectacular.

That explains so much!! Whenever I try taking pictures in low light I get a red looking blotch on the screen(always wondered why it was there)...didnt notice any reduction in quality though, but thats probably because i didnt get to take photos on a more recent One..got mine in May
It's funny how people feel the need to lie about taking pictures with a certain camera. The camera with the One is not bad but a lot of other devices are better in this department.
I have one of those early production models (I got mine in May) and have the same problems with the camera. This is my 4th HTC Phone and I have exchanged 2 out of the 4 at this point for design flaws, with this about to be the 4th. They have given me crap (being AT&T) for exchanging the phone for "minor" feature problems that aren't critical to the function of the phone, being the ability to send/receive communications.
If I take my phone to AT&T with proof, are they going to give me crap for trying to exchange it for a replacement? I'm just trying to see if anyone else has this experience, since I'm tired of missing out on shots of my kids. My wife can just whip out her iPhone and take a perfect picture on the first try and it pisses me off.
camera
the camera is really good but the only flaw is when you zoom in images get blurry and if taking pictures outside the sunlight destroys the picture
I love my phone, but I hate the camera. When I was on a GPE ROM I was better off describing things I wanted to take pictures of in 100 words or less. Now that I'm back on a sense ROM people can make out what I'm taking pictures of, but there's so much to be desired.

Calm down slick. Even two devices doesn't mean that every product off the line will have it. Unless they had checked 20 devices and every one had the same problem, I'm not writing of the device. There are defects. Some people have Nexus 7's with no light bleed, others have it with some light bleed.

Of the 5 reviews so far only Engadget mentioned leakage, everyone else is highly satisfied with the screen. Cnet mentioned these are presale models being tested, so let's just wait for the final version.
With the new Nexus 10 coming out, I strongly believe Apple is going downhill. I do not want to be cynical but had Steve been still alive, this would have never happened. When I saw the Ipad Mini, I thought "This is going to be my first Apple product, though expensive". Then Google announced Nexus 10. Everything changed dramatically. I want Google, and nothing but the Google, so help me God(if any)!!!
Light bleed is kind of a big deal to me too. I don't care about anything being really much over 1920x1080 (although it has to be at least 300PPI for me with Pentile displays, I can still see it), but light bleed might be the deal breaker here when I see this thing. It is not like I absolutely need a tablet with a good desktop, laptop, and phone. I'd be getting it for media and browsing around the house and workplace where screen quality will be the #1 focus.

+1 Can't stand light bleed.
It seems that the contrast is nothing special either, but that's because it's not as bright as other tablets. The black level looks decent according to the tests.
D: ohh lol i hate light bleeds
Does warranty cover light bleeding?
Any LCD with a backlight will suffer from light bleed to some extent even the iPad3 retina (just Google for the pictures). Obviously, something to check for and exchange if it's significant. The pictures on The Verge don't show any signs of it and the pixel level comparison shows the Nexus 10 display to be superior in black level, colors and sharpness against retina.
What is the brightness of the screen, anyway?
There is a firestorm going on over at Engadget over this review. The same reviewer wrote the iPad mini review and fawned over it but nitpicks the Nexus 10. Engadget has been deleting posts that point out the flaws in the review (and back it up with evidence).
I wouldn't put too much stock in this review, but it's always a good idea to be skeptical.

When the spread of the backlight is uneven, so parts of the screen are brighter than others.
I always thought light bleed was the presence of light when there shouldn't be any. Like when you're watching a movie in portrait view, and the black bars on top and bottom show light. That's why I haven't wasted much time with IPS in the last couple years ever since discovering Samsung's AMOLEDs. Uneven backlighting is a different and even worse artifact, and again it only affects non-AMOLED screens.

Seems like they both have pros and cons. Amoled displays have high risk of tint, I experienced this in my s2 for about a year until I finally got a replacement. This one portrays whites much better, or at least now it does. Aside from that you have all benefits, thin capacitive touch layer, vibrant colors (I don't give a **** if they're over saturated, they look great and that's what matters), no risk of light bleed, and huge potential battery savings. In my personal opinion I would take an amoled panel any day. I mean, displays like the super lcd2 in the one x are brilliant, but come on,, have you seen the note 2 on dynamic settings ?

Wished Samsung had gone with SAMOLED. Without a backlight there's no backlight bleed, ghosting, uniformity, etc. issues.

The technology is not there yet, nor is the economy. They simply can't produce a 2560x1680 OLED panel, 10" or otherwise, at a price anyone would be willing to pay.
Look at the PenTile "tricks" they have to pull on Galaxy phones as an indicator of how they're struggling with the tech, look at the very high cost of the Tab 7.7 to see how expensive it gets when you increase size, and to further reinforce that look at the ludicrous price of their big screen SAMOLED televisions compared to LCD and plasma.
Give it a few more years, it'll be feasible, and Samsung is surely working very hard on the problem, since they have a lot invested in pretty much owning the OLED market.
You're right. This is going to be the best 10" screen for the next 6-12 months. Yes it won't look as good as the screen on my S3 but I will be more than happy with it.
8 days and counting!
Hopefully a PCWorld/Currys near me will have it ready to take away!

Hello,
I've purchased 2 Lumia 920s now and both times the camera sensor had lots of hot pixels. If you could, would you please perform a test?
Set camera to 'Night mode'
Set exposure to '2'
Set ISO to '800'
Switch off auto-focus light
Switch off flash
Then:
Lock yourself in the bathroom and turn off the light.
Take a picture in the dark (as close to pitch black as possible)
Upload the photo to your computer
Turn off the lights around you and your monitor
View it on your computer and zoom way in
Look for any bright spots/dead pixels
Describe/upload what you see
My results:
Regular resized for display.

It is not uncommon for cameras to display hot pixels under those conditions. Even high end cameras can do it.

What im saying is it happens to the best of the best. Take pictures normally like everyone else. You wont see them then and they wont effect your picture quality. Nothing to be concerned about. You can take 2 identical cameras and one might do it while the other doesnt. And its only usually gonna happen under longer exposures. You shouldn't be worried. And it doesn't surprise me that a few of your pixels went retarded based on the shooting conditions you described above. Take it easy partner..

Those pixels absolutely ruin that photo of nothing!!
I experienced the event horizon looking at your pictures.
Honestly, my screen has more dust specs than the hot pixels on your screen.
I hope you're not kidding with this thread. That's definitely normal... I first thought it was a prank.
You should need a minimal amount of light. I've seen many videos on the internet where a DSLR camera was used to record videos @1080p with minimal amount of light and you can definitely see random hot pixels every while or so. As long as it's not always the same pixel it's nothing to worry about.
I know DSLRs have hot pixels. I wouldn't be worrying if it didn't show up in normal pictures, but my unit has hot pixels in normal night-time pictures and they're consistently in the same place. It was similar to this (not quite as many though).
http://www.neilcamara.com/WP_20121123_097.jpg
I've attached a photo (everything in auto settings) from my first unit. It only had 1 hot pixel. I would've kept it if it weren't for flexing/clicking polycarbonate. My second one had 7.
I took a black picture just to show the pixels.
I'm not trying to annoy anyone, but none of my friends' units have hot pixels as bad as mine, even under the same testing conditions.
Either way, that unit is now on its way back.
Thanks for your help.

If your unit has hot pixels close to the one you linked then it's another story. It should not happen.
Hot pixels happen on any DSLRs regardless the price range. What those DSLRs do is when you shoot anything with over 1 second, they automatically (can be turned off) take another picture with equal time but without letting any light in. Then they subtract the frames to remove those hot pixels as those pixels are always on the same location. It is by no means defective unless you see them in pictures exposed within a second.

I wonder if the Portico update contains hot-pixel filtering. My friends on AT&T don't have this problem.

I had the GS3 (best phone I had before the G2) and TouchWiz never bothered me since I immediately installed Nova Launcher. In fact I had the original Galaxy, the G2 and the G3. And I had custom launchers on all of them. I don't think TouchWiz is either a make or break decision.

Camera: holy hell. The s5 camera is amazing. To me it just blows the G2 camera out of the water. So much faster auto focus, brighter & more accurate colors, instant shutter instead of having to hold the phone still for a second or two every time you slightly move the phone. Plus, all the camera features are amazing. Especially the selective focus shots. Looks extremely professional.
Responsiveness: once again, this is going to the galaxy. Everything seems to snap more in this phone, as if every app were made for it. Even using chrome browser feels like a day and night difference. The zoom is the smoothest that I have seen on any phone. This holds true with everything from gesture typing to just scrolling the home screen. That snapdragon 801 is a beast.
Battery: of course the G2 kills the S5 in this field. The 2800 mAh battery just doesn't stand a chance. Especially with the brightness of the superAmoled+ screen. I have yet to be able to get a whole day of heavy use out of it like I was the G2, but I expected this going in. The phone does a really good job of putting itself into deep sleep though. I am doing nothing to conserve battery (as usual), I have twitter, Facebook, Instagram, vine, ifunny, etc installed, so I was surprised when I realized that the phone was only dropping around 1%/hr with the screen off. But, I have also only had the phone 2 days, things are still breaking in. If anything changes I will come back and edit this.
Display: the display on the S5 is amazing. Holding the G2 side by side the resolution itself looks almost identical, however, the G2 does appear to show whites more accurate while the S5 displays black more accurate due to the magic going on in the amoLED display.
Gimmicks:
-fingerprint scanner: this one was by far the most frustrating to me. The fingerprint scanner was one thing that really caught my attention about this phone. Since it's Samsung making it I figured it would be as good or better than my old 5s. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Don't get me wrong, it isn't terrible, it works, it really does; there is just a technique to it that you have to teach yourself in order to do it one handed (the scanner is designed to be used two handed, one hand holding the phone with the finger on the other hand being scanned.) Now that I have figured out how to do it, I am proud to say that I can successfully use the scanner 95% of the time.
-IP67:I have not got to test this thing out against dirt yet (waiting until I go dirt bike riding again) but you best believe that within 4 hours of the beauty coming in the mail I was texting people in the shower. It really works! I was worried because the aux port is left open, but somehow they have managed to make it work! I have run it under a stream of water from the sink to wash the screen off (which, by the way, works wonders!) And I believe I got some water in the aux jack or something because the auxiliary did go a little faulty for about 30 minutes, but it seemed to fix itself!
Touchwiz:my only gripe about touchwiz this time around is that it looks cartoony to me, almost like a child's toy. The DPI definitely needs to be dropped a bit, that would make this display amazing. Everything else is fine. I love the Samsung "Gimmicks". The multi window, gestures, etc. work great as usual.
Final: The S5 is a great phone, it's lighter, it's faster (just enough to be noticeable), the camera is about as good as it gets on a smartphone, and it can read fingerprints and take a dive. If none of this matters to you, there is no logic in you purchasing the S5. But, if you are in need of a better camera or a dust and waterproof phone, you can't go wrong with the S5!
Wow, thats weird because GSMarena said the GS5 was one of their longest lasting phones yet in battery tests. Should be pretty close to the G2.

It does seem like my battery is beginning to break in a little more each charge I put it through. Here is what I'm working with currently:

It isn't bad by any means, I'm just hoping for more and more each time I'm reaching for the charger. If I were someone who used my phone ~3 hours a day I would be absolutely in love with this battery. Unfortunately I'm not. I'm on mine usually 5 hours or so a day.

You have to know that these tests are done with pre-release firmware often, and G2 at least were suffering a bit from wakelocks at start. If they did a test now with KitKat it would blow the old value away, especially enduring.

The G2 already did very well, the tests attest to that. Just saying that the GS5 was supposed to be close to it.

I have never once in my life gotten as good battery life from Samsung phones, that are reported in tests. They always have some software crap that eats battery on the background and you can't get rid of it without rooting and that in turn flags Knox. Some friends who bought the S5 are saying the same - they have issues with the battery.
This is why I absolutely never trust battery tests unless they are done be real users and in real life for an extended period of time.

Lol, thats understandable. They do it in ideal conditions, ie excellent signal, 50% Brightness, no draining apps etc. Also AMOLED kills battery on web due to all white background as all sub pixels are needed for white. AMOLED uses more battery than LCD in such conditions by +100% or more. Not to mention at full brighness, and the screen burn to top it off after a few months which I have seen.
Where ever i read three are several people going through all sorts of issues with G5. Iam currently waiting for mine but all these QC issues are really starting to make me worried.
Now i am not sure wether to go ahead or cancel my pre order.
Mine is flawless. Looks perfect, no headphone issues, wifi calling works. I guess I haven't looked at screen bleed but don't really care about that. Haven't noticed any screen bloom.

Anyone else has anything to chip in ?
I'm on the way to pick mine up so I will tell you how my unit looks . I have said that if there is any problem with the look of mine that it's going to go back
No flaws with mine. Haven't look for light bleed though. Don't care about it.

True, I dont see people complaining about iphone quality that much.
But all things aside, I am hoping that UK dont get that many defective units since we have stricter QC measure in place.
Like most things, people dont bother to write unless they have a complaint. So im sure for every complaint you hear there are a hundred happy people. I have had mine since release day and the only thing i am dissapointed in is the volume buttons being on the side(which i all ready knew).

Glad to hear u are happy with your G5.
As for the volume control I am glad that they decided to put it on the side, since its easier for me to skip tracks easily while phone is in my pocket but with my G3 i have to really search for it and most of the times i would just hit the power button or camera lens
Camera lens scratched already.
I've had the phone since April 1st and i've been very happy with, however i just noticed that my Camera's glass cover in the back is already scratched. I have a case on the phone and I've been very careful with the phone. I'm very disappointed and annoyed that this got scratched up so easily! has anyone else noticed this? just seems like a very cheap material in the back. Is there any protector i can buy or will it distort the image?

That sucks. I'm pretty certain I saw a case on Amazon that covers the camera as well. Yes, it must distort the photo a LITTLE but hopefully not much. Maybe it was the Lifeproof case?

Looks like you dont have a case on your phone, and since G5 has a camera bump it is bound to get scratched when left on a hard surface.

Keep your order. It'll be worth it for you trust me. Got mine from ee today. Absolutely amazing phone and in perfect condition with amazing build quality.
I've been very happy with the build quality of mine (had it since Wednesday), moving from a Nexus 5X the quality is in such a higher league in my opinion. So I am very happy. If build quality is your only concern I wouldn't worry, like others have said for every one complaint there will of been many more who have been fine! The phone (at least in the UK anyway) comes with a 2 year warranty (one year for the battery) so that has to go some way in showing that LG believe tha5 the build quality of the phone will last at least that amount of time. I've only got one problem so far which is that the camera, on both the normal and wide angle (although more noticeable on the wide angle) seems to distort massively, almost as though you are shooting through a plastic protective cover. Although I've picked at the camera it doesn't appear one was on it out of the box and I don't want to try too much harder in case it isn't and it is just a terrible software bug that it causing it! The camera in the 5X has been amazing in low light and this feels a bit of a deal breaker for me personally (the camera is the main feature even above battery). Has anyone else had to remove some a plastic cover from the camera after taking it out the box?

M8 i would just take it back and replace it, no point in taking a chance.
My G5 is flawless and looks amazing.
Got mine 4-1-16 and have had zero issues. No light bleed no calling or headphone jax issues no gaps and some say that the side ring or whatever around the phone is like sharp or something mine is not. Some people are saying the battery life sucks but mine is great i get 5 to 5.5 hours screen on time. Also if the screen is off over 8 hours like if i dont charge at night i get maybe 5 to 8% drop at most.
My suggestion is when you get your phone if you see anything wrong like sharp edges gaps light bleed go and exchange for a new one. I think I heard Lg has multiple plants manufacturing the phone and one of them must be effing up big time. I got mine at best buy so I dunno if that makes a difference
I've heard more complaints with the build quality of this phone than with any other in recent memory.
Yes, some may be nitpicky, but for a damn near $700 device, we're allowed to be picky.
I'm not saying it's a bad device, I'm just going by what I've been researching/seen instore. It sounds like it performs like a Champ but you may have to go through a few to get a solid built one.

HTC 10 hehe
Hello i hope you are well, this is my first post after a long long time i lost my xda and email acc so im writing from my new profile.
I recently got the S23U 512GB the green color something like a month after the release and everything was superb until recently i noticed the camera rattle and by camera rattle i don't mean when you shake it like in some cases i saw on YT and read on google, i read almost everything i could find about previous models and understood the concept of the "camera rattle".
My case i think is a bit different and what bothers me is that i'm the only one that uses-using the phone the phone didn't fall no drop whatsoever so my issue is that the camera moves like if you put a small object (coin, small rock) in a tin can and move it (not shake it) in the same maner i feel something in the phone moving for example phone is in portrait i tilt it to landscape i hear and feel it move and make a "tick" also when the phone is on the table i pick it up and tilt it to my ear to answer a call i hear and feel it the same way and its driving me nuts.
The cameras work fine and when x10 is active the noise-click is harder to notice but is there but i have no issue with them, do you have any idea about this dont know what to do as in my country i don't have samsung retails and don't know what to do...
Ignore it or have it serviced. Not much else you can do...

By service what do you mean? Replace the cameras?
Yes. I would ignore it. Close the cam app when not in use. The cam normally should not be active when using the phone. wtf?
Try in safe mode to try and rule out a rogue 3rd party app.
Try clearing the system cache and cam data.
Try a factory reset. You can try reflashing it but doubt this will resolve it. Contact Samsung.
The micro motors used for optical image stabilization normally make slight sounds.
Never been aware of them on my Androids though.
The lens is supposed to move - that is how it is able to still take very clear focused photos while the user is unable to hold it very still or if the person using the camera is in a moving car on a bumpy road, etc.
I just listened while I shook my phone (S23 Ultra 512GB) a little bit - and I do hear a little 'rattle'. I have never noticed that before.
I am guessing but I would think that all the extra attention given to the camera lately (as it was considerably improved in a lot of ways) that they also updated the ability for the lens to be more sensisitve to movement, and that noise is probably the lens banging against the sides of it's lieelt enclosure. I am surprised however that if that is the case, they did not take this into consideracion and place a softer barrier around the lens so that when it bangs around you would not hear any noise - maybe they missed that in the latest go-around with their overall design changes - ?
I treat my phone like a piece of jewelry almost, only put it into a pocket that is empty, etc. - and so in my case I do not think there would be any issue as it is so very expensive I treat mine with kid gloves. I just got this phone to replace a Note 10+ 5G 512MB that had just started to fail - which I was surprised to note that I had it for 5 years - but got a great trade-in deal for it as it still looked like new.
Now that this has been brought to my attention I will also never really want to shake it at all and might sometimes worry about that... sheesh! (ugh!)
Thoughts - is this the cause of the slight 'rattle' noise? The best way is to walk inito a store where they have doisplay samnples - and just shake one.... If i remember I'll do that one of these days and report back here -

Um... it hasn't been 4 years yet for the N10+; got mine a month after they became available (N975U), it will be 4yo in October.
Shaking the phone won't damage the OIS but a high G impact might. ALWAYS use a good case like the Zizo Bolt to protect these heavy corner hitting, face planting happy phones from falls.
I tested 2 in store and none had this but neither had mine before. As for case i have the UAG plasma case paid 45$ and i think its tough enough but my cameras are fine but sounds crazy the rattle.
Need to mention no need to shake the phone just by moving it left to right or 90° it clicks-rattles
When not using the phone the camera lens will be lose. When I shake my s23 ultra I can hear lose parts from 100x camera lens and this is normal to hear when your not using the camera at all. But once I activate camera app and use x10 the rattle noise goes away.
You are hearing this noise because lens that moves forward and backwards between chip layer and mirror layer is light weight and when camera app is off or not on x10 then you will hear rattle noise from bottom camera lens. By just placing the phone to your ear or shaking it.
So this is not an defect and has been there since s20.

Lol, that's disconcerting. You'd think it have a "parked" position. Nevertheless it's likely normal.
On all my Canon lens with OIS the only time, if ever, you hear them would be when active. On my N10+'s I have never heard a peep from the OIS no matter what I do. Anymore when Samsung makes "improvements" I cringe. It didn't use to be like this...
Hey Sammy how about you design a flagship with the sub chassis layout like the S22U with the spen on the RIGHT side, expandable storage and efficiency that exceeds the N10+'s per mAh. Instead of jamming in heavier, larger, higher capacity batteries that get less SOT than the N10+ (1N975U1).
Can you do that? Or you just going to keep making lame excuses for your dropped balls?

Reason why you didn't hear it on n10+ it is because that phone did not have a 100x zoom lens so which is square one.

It has OIS lense though. Really the cams on the N10+ are more than adequate. Samsung's increasing use of AI image processing is unwanted by many. The airbrushed plastic fb girls love it. Fking toon world. Like I said about Samsung's "improvements" nowadays. They read like a cheat sheet...

If you live in a country where claiming warranty is as easy as getting meal, i suggest to just get a replacement.
I always know that any smartphones that have OIS will have tiny rattle sound when shaked, but not to the point you can hear it, unless you really shake it close to your ear and you really trying hard to listen it,
i just shake my P7P and S23U, and if any, my Pixel "rattle" more. And by "more" , it still hardly noticeable.
So, if it really that noticeable, i suggest return it and get a new one.
Just walk into a store that has the model on display and shake it. If it's the same sound you have no issue.
I can confirm mine has rattle sound. I think it's normal and appear when I really shake the phone. Not when I rotate from portrait to lanscape

i just shake my P7P and S23U, and if any, my Pixel "rattle" more. And by "more" , it still hardly noticeable.
So, if it really that noticeable, i suggest return it and get a new one.

Meh, just ignore it for now. It may never cause any operational issues.
